I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience here I feel it's necessary. I came in for a simple, straightforward job and left with new issues that didn't exist beforehand. While I understand issues can happen, the fact that these problems appeared immediately after my appointment feels far from coincidental. This raised serious concerns about the integrity of the work being done. Unfortunately, it came across less as genuine service and more as a quick cash grab. Seems like once the masks came off the customer care went out the window. Took my car in for some tire wear and had some things done -- whatever... they did it. But when it came to pay, the store credit (from some damage to a previous wheel set install) that they told me I had preciously ago was "nowhere to be found". Wouldn't you know it, the guy doesn't work there anymore. So they got my money with a blind promise. Thanks Belle Tire. After spending thousands of dollars with you over the years, you're all take. Then I hop and drive away only to find that not only is the problem not fixed but the mechanic that took my car for a ride had slathered brake dust and tire grime all over my steering wheel, door handle and console. I took my Jeep to Belle Tire on Ford Rd to repair/replace 2 rear tires that had slow leaks. Who wants to do this in the middle of Covid & 20 degrees outside! To my surprise, the damage was minimal. I received a reasonable quote for four Michelin all season tires. The purchase came with a $70 rebate. The sales manager (Joe) was outgoing and extremely helpful. He listened to my needs and gave me a few options to choose from based on my circumstances. I only waited 40 minutes for my four tires to be installed and balanced. Could be more professional. I was referred by my friend that Belle tires are very professional. But it wasn't the case for me. Recently installed new tires on my vehicle and they didn't balance the wheels properly. So the steering started shaking during highway speed. I had to visit the tire center again to fix that. I dropped my car off dreading how much this was going to cost me. My rear driver tire consistently kept losing pressure. I received a call a short time later that my car was ready. I go there and the salesman tells me that my rear tire had a screw in it and my other tires needed alignment. I had a slow leak in my tires which I bought from them. After holding my vehicle an entire day, this location tried to sell me new tires instead of fixing the leak. The tires were still relatively new! I had to take my vehicle to another shop to fix the leak. Steer clear. They are more interested in selling you products you don't need instead of standing behind their warranties. A quick look at other reviews: The people giving good reviews of this location are generally happy with the sales experience. Yes, this location LOVES to sell. The people giving poor reviews are generally NOT happy with the after sales, service, warranty experience, such as myself! I went to this Belle Tire location earlier this week after noticing some trouble with my steering wheel. Just some minor shaking and wobbling but I figured I should have it looked at. They were able to get me in the day I called to inquire which was so helpful. Their hours are reasonable and accommodate everyone's schedule. The only thing that I am a little irritated about is they gave me a quote for 4 brand new "mid grade" tires ($539) and an alignment ($80) which I thought was really high. Sure enough I called a few other stores in the area and all of the places I called gave me much lower quotes for the EXACT SAME TIRES. Steer clear of this location. They do not honor their warranty or stand behind their product. Period. Poor customer service - expect to leave your car for the day, even for a slow leak, and still not get it fixed. I've had this experience on more than one occasion with different people. It's how they do business. They are much more interested in trying to sell you new tires and blaming you for tire defects than they are in simply standing behind the warranty they sold you. After today's experience I'm done dealing with these people. Two of the four tires I purchased from them had slow leaks. They claimed the tires were damaged due to my supposedly under inflating them, which voids the warranty, and I would need to purchase new tires. I felt a scam coming on and left. After living with the leaky tires for a long time, I finally took the car to a REPUTABLE tire shop and they magically fixed one of the slow leaks by removing the tire and cleaning the corrosion on the rim. They took the time to show me the issue, the corrosion, how it causes the slow leak, and how they removed the corrosion. I happily paid the $15 they charged along with a $5 tip. The second tire was leaking because it was damaged due to improper installation by Belle tire (chunk of rubber was missing on back, by the rim). This was visible when the tire was removed from the vehicle. The technician immediately recognized this failure and said it sometimes happens by the equipment if the tire is improperly mounted on the rim. After going back to Belle Tire a second time armed with this new information, they still refused to honor the warranty. While they acknowledged it was a possibility, they claimed their mounting equipment had a plastic guard to prevent that type of damage. They then claimed the tire must have been damaged by a pot hole, and still not covered (remember, initially they told me it was damaged due to under inflation). I reluctantly purchased another tire from them ONLY because I didn't feel safe driving the vehicle with part of the sidewall missing. I will never take my business there again. read more

Lousy service. My husband presented to have his snow tires swapped out. They stored the regular ones. They did not reset the tire monitor so he had to go back the next day. More waiting. Not only did he wait an unreasonable amount of time, but THEY locked his keys inside the car. They used some sort of metal bar to unlock it. In the process they scratched the hell out of the door post, laughed about it, and offered to try to get my husband some touch up paint so he could fix it himself. When my husband said he wanted a pro to fix it, their corporate office required three estimates and then a fourth from the repair shop of their choice. By this time, Covid-19 was upon us, and the car was already being repaired by another bump and ding shop. We're In Our 70's so all of this shuffling around is dangerous for us. If we survive, we will never ever use Belle Tire again. read more

Last week, I needed a new tire from a Michigan Pothole incident. As usual, it was handled by friendly and professional staff. Thank you Nicole for working so quickly with our tire insurer. Maybe it is the time for a class-action lawsuit. In my opinion this company's business model is built on scamming customers. The Canton, Ford rd, store is horrible, and the company is also at fault. Read the reviews and u will know why. For example from my personal experience, tires come with free flat repair and free rotation. Nowhere on the Belle Tire website u can schedule a flat tire repair. If u call the store, the soonest appointment is a week away for a flat tire. If u stop by the store, they will tell u leave the car at the store and they have no shuttle, they may get to in several hours or tomorrow. Flat tire is an emergency and must be managed timely (like an hour or two of waiting at the store should be the maximum). Belle tire, shame on u for false advertisement, put flat repair appointments option on your website, and clearly state flat repair might take a week when you sell the tire. So yesterday I called for a quote to have my car oil change and an alignment. Was told that they would change the filter with the oil change. So I brought my car in today and Scott said they don't usually do that. I'm don't mind paying since I'm here already but he continues by saying they can get the parts because they have shipment every 30 minutes. So I asked what's the price with the filter and he said he don't know and doesn't bother to look it up just keeps saying he doesn't know. Then asked for my keys to start service and come back in a couple of hours. BELLE TIRE-CANTON CANNOT BE TRUSTED WITH THEIR SERVICE. I took my vehicle in Aug 2019 to have a piece of spiral metal taken out of the center of my tire. I showed the assistant manager what I wanted to have removed. She observed the tire in fair condition with no visible signs of leaking. Approximately 5 minutes after my truck was taken to the back, she returned to tell me that my tire now had a puncture in the sidewall. I observed air hissing out of the tire while the truck was still inside Belle Tire. I have since filed a police report with the Canton Police Department and have had to purchase a used tire. I am very upset by the damage done by Belle Tire-Canton and even more disappointed that the assistant manager denied any responsibility and then tried to sell me 4 new tires. read more

I have been to this location multiple times. Most of the time it has been flawless. Full disclosure, I always try to show up right at open because I don't want to waste a full day waiting for my car. I stopped in this morning a few minutes before open because I had a tire that needed repaired. I was in and out in about 45 min. My car just hit the 120K range, so as I was leaving the salesperson suggested that I am due for new shocks and struts. Obviously not what you want to hear, but my vehicle is overdue. He provided me with an estimate that didn't sound ridiculously out of line for the amount of work. The thing I like about Belle in general is that they stand by their work/product. They fixed my tire (purchased at Belle) free of charge. It's the little things like that which will have me continue to take my car here. It seems like people have had some bad experiences...I've had bad experiences at places too. Even at this location one time, I needed a tire replaced and it took a few days and I got the run around a little because it wasn't in stock. It's the nature of the industry. Stuff happens. All in all, I have had a good experience with this Belle Tire location and I'll continue to come here until I don't have a good experience. I brought my car in for a noise I heard coming from my driver rear side. I was told it was going to be over $800 in repairs. When I explained to Nicole by the way who was great, that the work that needed to be done was under warranty from another dealership. They were suppose to put the car back together so I could relocate the vehicle. I arrived to pick up my car only to have the young guy drive it up to me and say here you go. I asked him what was that hanging from my driver rear side. Low and behold it was my brake caliper Wow if I didn't notice I could have been killed. Thank God he wasn't ready for me. My only issue is that when the young guy brought me my car, why didn't he notice that whole part wasn't connected and why didn't his common since kick in? To be determined. I had four tires put on my truck recently. My tire pressure monitor is a drive to reset style. Three of them reset, one did not. I took it back (twice) to see if they could reset it. Still wont reset. They say they dont know why because they used some sort of scanner and I guess it told them it was working fine. They seemed stumped. I heard one guy say "he probably needs a new sensor but he'll have to come back another time. So there is a fourth trip to the store in my future for what should have been an easy install of four tires. I went to Belle Tire a few months ago for new tires. I waited quite a while in the waiting area before I heard anything from them. (Interesting how you cannot see what they're doing FROM the waiting room) Someone finally came out and said they couldn't find the wheel lock key. I went into the garage, asked the mechanic where he had looked and he said he looked through the entire vehicle. It took a second to register and then I lost it. I asked him why on earth (probably with a few four letter words interspersed periodically) would he go through my entire vehicle to look for it and why didn't he go get me sooner BEFORE rifling through MY vehicle? I saw 3 or 4 personal checks addressed to me that WERE in the center console now laying on the passenger front seat. Are you kidding me!!!!?? You do NOT go through anyone's vehicle without their permission. When I went to the manager, he said that it was okay that the mechanic had done it. Needless to say, I left after explaining to the manager that it is NOT okay to rifle through a customer's vehicle. I went down the street to Discount Tire and spent $800+ there. And when I asked the mechanic there what they do if they can't find the wheel lock key, he said they would get the owner and have him/her find it. Good answer, good answer. Btw, the wheel lock key was located in one of those compartments in the back of the vehicle -- exactly where it should have been and exactly where it was since the day I purchased the SUV. Dumb ass Belle Tire. DO NOT take your vehicle there if you don't want them rifling through everything. All it takes is one less than trustworthy mechanic, and you could lose something valuable (but it's not just $, it's the fact that they invaded your personal space and belongings). read more

This location is downright terrible. I'm actually beginning to associate the entire Belle Tire company based on the crap going on at this location. One of the first times I frequented - I arrived first thing in the morning when they opened their doors. I needed 4 new tires, alignment, etc. I might have been the 2nd or 3rd person that morning and expected somewhat of a wait (to be realistic). I purchased what I needed and headed over to a local restaurant to have breakfast and burn time in general. Well into an hour and a half later I had not heard anything and wandered back simply to get an update. MY CAR STILL HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN BACK YET. There it sat in the same place I originally parked it. When I went in to see what the deal was - it took about 15 minutes just to get assistance - as all 4 or 5 guys were busy answering phones and handling calls (rather than helping people actually in the store purchasing and needing service). There stood a long line of us with no acknowledgement. Something is fundamentally wrong with that kind of business structure; when you ignore the customer in your store - for some phone call of a person simply trying to price shop the competition. I never did find out why my car was just sitting over an hour and half. But, apparently they do not have a system to how they do things. There was more than one customer waiting and unhappy by this point. A lady in front of me stated she had an appt. (it was for a time after I had originally arrived and dropped my car off that morning). She was upset and letting everyone know about it. The next thing you know - they are putting her car on the rack - ahead of me???I was not the only one feeling this was peculiar - and began questioning why customers coming in after us - where getting work done first. The whole system of this makes no sense. I'm there and paid for my tires and people who "reserved" a time after me later in the day are hitting the rack first? Long story short - I didn't get out of there until after 12pm. Over 4 hours of this nonsense. Afterwards - because I voiced my concerns - I was given a gift card to stop back. So fast forward to a month or so ago when I'm having tire pressure issues and need that looked at. I figure I will get an alignment as well. I decide to go back. They get me in and out in about an hour and a half this time. But, they state they have "fixed the problem" with my tire pressure on my right front. I questioned this at the time of payment and I'm assured they looked - and all is well - although no further explanation is given. Within a day or so - the leak is back. I return - and this time they tell me I had a nail in the tire and they patched it. So - it essentially lets me know they never looked at the tire thoroughly to begin with. I'm guessing they never even took the tire off - which should be standard practice if you are going to inspect the tire properly - especially for a leak, bent rim, etc. Then the guy at checkout proceeds to tell me I need new tires. Apparently they are "really bad and might not make it through the winter". Gee - that is a revelation. I just purchased them from you LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. I don't ramrod around in my 4 cylinder economy car - and I usually only drive it from my home to work (on average). But, I guess that is some serious wear and tear that you have to replace tires more than once a year. Not to mention - non one commented the first time I was in there a day prior. So suddenly this is getting brought up? The point in all this - Bell Tire does not care about customer service. They do not care about honesty. They simply want your money and don't mind bending you over in the process. I'm sick of their commercials about going above and beyond for the customer - because it just isn't true. Worse - the staff is cocky and have no service sense. Maybe this location is just under poor management. It is amazing they make it through a day and are able to complete their job duties effectively. Stay away from this location - and beware of Belle Tire as a whole. They told me I would have to wait until my original time and my service would take 90 min. Fortunately, they have a terrific manager named Has, who took ownership of the issue an I was out within 60 min. I'm writing in regards to a recent experience with Belle Tire. Let me say I have been a faithful and royal customer to belle tire for years now. On Thursday November 8th, I went to the Belle Tire in Garden City at 33535 Ford Road, Garden City, MI 48135 to have my tires balanced and rotated. The Garden City belle tire did the rotation and balanced the tires and informed me I needed an outer tie rod as well as a lower control arm and recommended shocks and struts. I declined the work and left. When I left I noticed the car was very wobbly so I decided to get a second opinion, and was told the only thing needed was a control arm. I let the other dealer replace the control arm. I took it back to the Garden City after the repairs to find out why it was wobbly. They checked it and said they balanced the tires and if it doesn't stop I probably have a bent rim. Sure enough it was still wobbling. On Saturday November 10th I took my vehicle to the Belle Tire in Canton at 45875 Ford Rd Canton, MI 48187 to have them reevaluate the wobbling. I was helped by salesperson Thomas Tacket Jr, he told me it was probably just a balance issue but the mechanic couldn't find the wheel lock. I told him it was in the car probably in the passenger seat. After a few minutes he came back and said the mechanic (Jeremy Erskine) still couldn't find it. I asked if I could go look, I walked in the garage and looked in my passenger seat but it wasn't there as I started to open my back door I saw the wheel lock clearly sitting on the back seat. If the mechanic wasn't so busy eating he may have saw it the first time. After awhile Thomas came back to the waiting room and said that all my tires were off balance and they didn't notice a bent rim and that the other Belle Tire in Garden City stripped one of my studs and they were going to replace it and charge the other Belle Tire, I said ok. A little while longer passes and Thomas comes back out and sits down and asks who did my brakes, by this time it's 4:35 and they close at 5:00. I said why what's wrong with my brakes, he says whoever did your brakes stripped the bolt and the caliper bracket by using an impact gun. He also said that whoever did the brakes just stuck an aftermarket bolt back in and that it was very loose. I told him that I never had a problem with my brakes and that they were done in the earlier part of this year so there would have been an issue with that loose bolt by now. He just shrugged and said I can't give you a price right now and their parts person said the whole caliper would need to be replaced. At this time the mechanic (Jeremy Erskine) comes out and sits and stresses to me that its really really unsafe and he suggest I not drive it but he knows I got to get home so be very very very careful. I told them that the mechanic who did my brakes would never do anything that could jeopardize my safety as well as others out on the road. I left very upset, My brakes were done June 12th, 2012 I have driven all over from that time up until now with no issues what so ever. I took my vehicle to a GM Dealership for an oil change and a multi point inspection on November 1st, 2012 and they did not mention anything about a bolt being loose. The Belle Tire in Garden City said nothing about a loose bolt nor did the mechanic who repaired the control arm. I took it to the mechanic who did the brakes back in June and when he looked at it he said look at this bolt (that I watched him pull out by hand) if I had placed this bolt in here back in June it would have been rusted. He showed me a shiny new bolt that clearly Belle Tire had placed in my caliper bracket. So after spending my entire Sunday searching for a bracket and bolt I was out of a hundred dollars, to repair what Belle Tire did. I went back to the Canton Belle Tire Monday November 12th, 2012 and asked to speak with the manager. I spoke with Doug Franklin and told him the situation and he states that the person who did my brakes stripped the caliper bracket and used an aftermarket bolt. I pulled the bolt out of my pocket and said my brakes were done earlier this year and if this was the bolt placed in the caliper bracket it would show some signs or rust (which it had none). He snatches the bolt and the repair paper and says who worked on this car and storms off to the back. He came back and said I believe my mechanic. I snatched the bolt repair order and stormed out. I as well as my family have been faithful customers of Belle Tire for YEARS sadly to say I will no longer patronize this establishment. I will start with how I was treated, and then contrast this with the Discounted Tire dealer so you have a basis to understand my rating. But I need to first describe the problems with my vehicle so you can understand the differences in customer treatment. I tried changing my summer tires and wheels over to winter tires and wheels myself. But I was using my impact wrench with a socket I did not know was damaged. I wound up rounding off the lug nuts on both the rear wheels by the time that a lug nut got stuck in the socket. That is what caused me to notice that the socket was cracked. I wound up with a vehicle having only four lug nuts for one wheel, and damaged lug nuts on that wheel and one other. Needless to say I did not try to swap the front tires myself. Instead I decided to have a tire shop do the work this time. I should also mention that the winter tires are slightly smaller. I went to Belle Tire and explained this situation. The worker there recommended that I replace all the factory lug nuts with the ones they had in stock, which they only charged me a dollar each for. Since they had to remove all the old lug nuts anyway to install the replacements, they also took my front winter tires/wheels from the back of my vehicle and put them on. And then they ran the TPMS relearn procedure for all four wheels. Furthermore, Belle Tire did all the work, including the removal of one severely rounded off lug nut, in less time than I spent waiting in line at Discounted Tire. I need to take the Belle Tire guys donuts one of the next few nights on my way home in gratitude. In comparison, the Discounted Tire guy, after learning the situation responded with these points: 1) The back tiires are not the standard size. (I knew that. They are 3 mph off at 80mph, big deal.) 2) The load rating on the back tires was too low. (I knew that. The load rating was 100-200 pounds per tire lower than the stock tires. But the combined load rating of the snow tires is still 7000 pounds. The GVWR of the vehicle is only 5380. So there was still a safety margin of over 1600 pounds). 3) Since the load rating was lower than for factory tires, he said that he would not authorize any work on the vehicle, after he played with his computer to pretend to look up the GVWR information. But... get this... He offered to sell me four new tires and said they would do the work if I replaced all four tires. This is why I strongly prefer to get tire work done at Belle Tire. I only stopped at the Discounted Tire place because they were in a location where I could walk back to work. And as I mentioned, when I did stop at Discounted Tire this time, they did not want to perform service work. "Discounted" Tire just wanted to sell new tires, which is the same thing they tried to pull on everybody in front of me in line. read more
