I was optimistic about the speedy response until the person on the phone quoted me a price. It was much, much higher than I'd ever paid for a simple repair. But, my auto knowledge is limited. I assumed the parts needed must've been expensive. I agreed, and after several days (apparently they were having trouble getting a part) my vehicle was ready. When I arrived to pick it up I looked through the receipt before paying to find that the bulk of the cost was actually labor. The labor cost was nearly 3x the cost of the parts needed. On top of that the final cost was nearly $150 more than what I was quoted over the phone! I will say that the issue with my vehicle was fixed. So, apparently they do competent work. That's the only reason I didn't give a lower rating. However, I won't be going back. This interaction did teach me a lesson, though. In future I will ask about labor costs upfront as I'm sure I could've gotten this repair done for a much more reasonable price at a shop that charges much more reasonable rates for labor. I would advise anyone thinking of getting auto repair work done at this place to be wary and prepared for the cost.

This place said it was a 'hard fix' because my car is a 2011 fusion. So, there were just no parts available. Then suddenly 2 days later, I was told I could pick it up. Okay. Went there, got it, drove 3 whole miles and the exhaust system fell out again. When I called, they sent someone who said - they didn't attach this right. So, I waited again for over an hour for them to fix it. Again. The waiting room is really close to the mechanics ship. And I heard a lot of laughter when I was waiting. Also, the person at the desk told me - you won't have to pay for this, though you should have to, just because we're being nice. At the time I had a warranty in my car stating that if anything went wrong with the exhaust, it was covered for a year. It had been 20 minutes. I will Never go to midas (any midas) again. They also quoted me a price and it was several hundred dollars over that when I paid (before the exhaust they fixed fell out after I drove 3 miles). New owner, same workers. Go elsewhere.

I looked online for a mechanic near me and found Kirk's Auto. I explained my situation to the gentleman at the front desk. I assumed that this was Kirk. He said he could take a look at it in about five minutes. I appreciated this because time is money when I'm driving for Uber. Kirk solved the problem by getting some zip ties and securing the loose metal that was hanging from the bottom of my car. This took him about five minutes to complete, and he didn't even charge me. Kirk turned an awful experience into a good one. I will definitely be coming here for my car needs in the future.

Already running late, it took another hour and a half just to get a tow truck out to put air in my spare. By the time I called Wear Master, I was frantic. They listened to my situation, told me to come in, and true to their word -- even with a shop full of cars -- they stopped what they were doing and immediately took care of me. They put a temporary tire on my unrepairable flat and had me back on the road as fast as humanly possible. If it weren't for them, I would have 100% missed my flight to Mexico. My rental car and hotel were both prepaid, so I would have been out a significant amount of money. Thankfully my flight was delayed by two hours, and I barely made it -- but I would NOT have made it at all without Wear Master going above and beyond for me.
