1) The person at the counter is telling me that their TV doesn't work for last 6 years as they don't have money and but they can buy one if I can help them w my contribution. And he was telling me that with a bad attitude. 2) I had problem with my exhaust and they recommended to replace the whole exhaust as they cant bend a simple pipe and weld. their bill was for $4000.00 and I left that shop and got is fixed at regular exhaust shop for $250.00. I have friends who were mechanics out of state that I listen to some of their stories. So I have some empathy on how hard it can be to diagnose and fix a car. So when my sons jeep starting having electrical problems, I was nervous and knew it might take a few visits to duplicate the problem,diagnose, and fix. I also am decently educated on how a car works and topical trouble areas and I watched several YouTube videos on how others had multiple visits to fix similar issue. Anyway we have had the jeep in several times and each time they have logically tried to fix the vehicles electrical issue. They have also stood by their work for older repairs and made suggestions on other items to watch out for. Brought my car here and they took 5 days to look at it saying it was rusted out and they needed more time to work on it. (Mind you it's a 8 year old car) Then they called back and said they needed a special tool to get my spark plugs off, then to call back two days later and say the spark plug is "welded" into my motor and they can't get it out so I will need to get a used motor to replace my perfectly fine motor (when I brought it in) because the spark plug is in my motor. Then they told me I couldn't buy my own used motor and have them put it in because it's less money they get for labor. They didn't want to do what they needed to do and trashed my motor. They don't do honest work and they just wanted to keep my motor and put a trash junk yard motor into my car. Maybe they are good for tires but nothing else. read more

Took my car in for a tire leak. They said there was a nail in it and patched it from the inside. The next day, the same tire was low and I took it back in. They took the tire off and discovered the rim had a crack in it. Since the rim was off, both myself and the owner looked at the tire and discovered the tire had never been patched, and that they lied and said it had been. I said you told me you patched the tire, and he said, I didn't tell you that, the service girl told you and she's not here today. I said regardless of who told me, I paid for the service and it wasn't done, and I was lied to. He didn't seem to care about the lying at all. I would beware of this shop. read more

My tire had a slow leak on the passenger side in the rear for a few weeks so I decided it would be a good idea to have it checked out. They said they would get to it the next day and they did, the tire apparently had a nail in it so they removed it and fixed the leak. Fast forward to the next day, I have them a call to inform them that they had scratched the paint off of my wheel in over 8 different spots. Daryl, the person I spoke with (who was also the person who worked on my tire) asked if I could bring the car in to be inspected. I had to have someone bring my car in as I was not home. I received a call from the person who I had bring it in and they told me they weren't going to do anything about it. I immediately called back up there to speak with Daryl and he rudely informed me that he didn't do it and it was not his fault. (Keep in mind the car had only been driven to the tire shop and back in the past 2 weeks). I told him that they were the only ones who worked on the car and there was no way it could have been someone else, he denied it again saying they won't do anything to fix the scratches. Instead of claiming responsibility, they (Daryl) claimed a ghost had done it, wow! Alright, so First time in Canton, MI and my car has a flat. Drive 8 hours plus and have to go back the next day. Called several places in the area but kept getting same answer, "sorry can't do it today". After a while I contacted Sheldon Road service and spoke to Bob, he said to come in ASAP cause they are closing in an hour, and he will have someone look at it. Dropped everything, ran to the store, and met Bob. Pretty cool guy btw, had me pull up my car right away and few guys starting working on it. Within about 15 minutes they removed a decent size nail outta my tire, patched it up, and car is ready to go. This was already unbelievable, then Bob tells me he is not charging me anything for repairs. I'm not writing because I got free service, just wanted to give a shout to the amazing and professional service I received. If I am ever in the area, these guys are my first and only stop. Horrible customer service! The older guy working there is super rude and not professional. Go there just before lunch, they tell me to come back an hour later after the crew is back (no problem)... I go back there an hour later they say they can't do the car because they have to many cars in front of me before closing. Horrible!! Bottom line: Caveat emptor! It seems this place is OK for tires but I would avoid this place. Negative stars if possible. Stick with AAA approved shops or YourMechanic if they are available in your area. I've heard only excellent things about YourMechanic but sadly they are not available in this area for this vehicle model/type. Full story: My parents car had trouble with the shifter, it moved but wouldn't shift into any gears. Called a few places and thought it was fortunate the Sheldon Road Auto Service could take a look at no charge and claimed to be able to fix the issue the same day. This was the beginning of the nightmare. The tow guy was awesome and figured out we could get the car into neutral by shifting the gear box lever directly under the hood. Had the car towed to their facility and dropped off the keys and they said they'd call me after they took a look. A few hours later I get a call and they explained what happened: the coupling on the shifter wore out and continued use broke the shift cable and it needs to be replaced. Cool, they figured it out and it appeared to be what I guessed from watching youtube videos. So good, so far. Before I could ask how much to fix it, they started to tell me about all these other "problems" that needed to be fixed: a new battery because mine wouldn't hold charge (strange, I started the car before towing it and the battery was replaced not more than a few years ago from Costco and under warranty), and the idle was running high and needed some part to fix (luckily it was ONLY $20 and they wouldn't charge me for labor.. gee thanks *sarcasm*), etc.. I told them no thanks, just give me a quote for the problem I brought it in for and needed fixed. He (Mitch?) said the part was expensive and only the OEM Ford part would work. Questionable as nearly every part for production vehicles has an aftermarket part but OK I played along. For parts and labor total cost, they quoted me DOUBLE other places I heard back from. Needless to say I was disappointed after reading these great reviews. I told them no thanks and I would take the car elsewhere. When I came back to get the car a few hours later, what I feared most had happened. They decided to be childish and caused further damage to the car. The shifter was completely jammed, the key was stuck in the ignition, the shift cable was detached under the hood and the oil dipstick was not reinstalled properly. I was unable to get the key out but fortunately I had a spare set and could lock and unlock the car. I went inside to speak to the owner, Bob, about this and the guy couldn't even look me in the eye. He knew he had done something shitty. He said the car was like that because I didn't allow him to fix it. I told him I would have been happy to let him fix it if he charged me a fair price. He did not respond. I asked him why he had made things worse and he said thats the way it was because they had to investigate the problem. I'm not sure what type of "investigating" further damages the car but thats completely messed up. When you take your car to a dealer for inspection it doesn't become more damaged. At this point the car no longer starts, the key is stuck in the ignition, shifter is completely jammed and god knows what else they did under the hood. In desperation, I called AAA and explained the situation. They recommended a few approved shops in the area. One was nearby and after speaking to them on the phone, they made no promises but gave a fair quote for parts + labor which was half the cost these guys quoted me and using genuine original parts. I called the Ford dealership and verified the part and the cost and also doubled checked the part price online. The car was towed to the AAA approved shop and the next day the car was fixed and running properly at a fair price. read more

I've been here for a couple of times now, once for a new set of tires and a couple of times to replace said tires because of construction debris. This most recent time is what has me writing the review. While the guys are nice all around and will shoot you a few deals here and there, there are a couple of concerns. First I was sold new tires that became discontinued a year later. I know you can't track these things sometimes, but it creates a tick in my eye when you have to buy 2 new tires instead of the one. Also, there was miscommunication about having the tires I ordered ready and they were quick to turn me away for another day had I not been adament that I called a few days prior. Once I got home I found the parts I was charged for was nearly 5x the online cost and close to double what the auto parts stores were charging. I went to the shop for alignment and oil change for my 2011 Toyota RAV4. The owner( old guy with beard) called me after one hour inform me that they need to replace the plastic cover because it is too tight to open and they may crack the cover. I told him don't do it, just do the alignment. Pick up the car. noticed the oil dip, went back to tell them to fixed the problem because they cracked the cover. Folks, I am compelled to inform you of the Sheldon Road Goodyear facility. Go there only if you want to be ripped off! First of all, beware of their interest requirement-31%!!! I had work done there twice in the last months of 2018 totaling $615. They didn't tell me they were putting the work on a "promotion"!!! I kept making monthly payments above the required amount on their statement. Then I started getting interest bills of an additional $70 monthly, over their required monthly payment. The $615 work will require payments on the promotion of $400. Their last statement said my minimum payment was $37 but they charged me an additional $77 for the interest. That will be for a few months forward!!! Not only was it unbelievably difficult to contact their customer service??? by phone, but my phone call to Sheldon Road was terrible too. I canceled my card and will never step foot in their establishment again!! DO IT At your own risk!!! read more

I am not mechanically inclined at all, and having over 400,000 on my car, they could have easily taken advantage by suggesting unnecessary repairs. They have been honest every time, and are very reasonably priced. Bob, the owner, is kind, respectful, polite, and knowledgeable.
