A few years ago I needed an engine and a radiator, and a salesman called Charles was extremely helpful. I wish he was still there. This past spring I ordered three semi-expensive parts. One part arrived broken. I returned it and got another. I had to pay my mechanic $500 labor to take apart my dash and put it back together (10 hrs) only to find the replacement part was also broken. Another part I ordered was a radio - which also has a video entertainment system, reverse camera and navigation system. Three times I ordered it and paid for it, only to find they were giving me the wrong part. Several long trips out there, only one of the three parts ended up working. I can't say enough positive things about this place. Specifically, Brandon. He has helped me sort out some replacement body parts from a minor fender bender. Brandon went above and beyond for me. My car was making the kind of noises that make you feel like at any moment on the road it could fall apart. I went to three different places who all told me they could hear the noises but when they look under it and remove my tires there was nothing wrong and they would send me away. The sound was only getting worse and my anxiety levels were going through the roof because I rely on my car for everything! The day after Thanksgiving I knew I was going to have to make a 60 mile drive but I was shaking in my boots about the noise it was making. Through the carmax repair pal website I searched for someone I could take my car to that day and several places that said they were open were actually closed! It wasn't until my 5th call that I found Fox tires and they told me to come in right away. They were nothing but kind and courteous and despite my frantic ramblings and blubbering sobs they understood me and went above and beyond to find out what was wrong and THEY FOUND IT! Three different places didn't find anything but they heard the noise, this is the only place that actually did something and at such a reasonable price. If you are reading this I would vouch for this place ten times over and if I have any future issues I will be coming back for sure, they took a great weight off my shoulders while at the same time providing service excellence to be envied by any other auto place. Special shout out to Carlos, Randy, Dalen, and John for really doing everything they can to fix my car especially the day after Thanksgiving. fox used auto parts in rawsonville, michigan gave me a price for a used wheel that was six times higher then the average price I received from other used auto parts junkyards in the area. and the wheel they wanted to sell me was not in good condition. I didn't buy my wheel there, got a nice looking wheel and saved hundreds of dollars. read more

Needed a steering knuckle for a Chevy Equinox, and went to FOX. Chris welcomed me as I stepped in, and was able to locate what I needed. Was a great value compared to new. Chris said it would take about 2 hours to get it pulled, and would call when ready. Within 90 minutes, I received that call and picked it up. Sadly the hub bearing was attached to it(great value if you wanted to keep the bearing), and I did not want it. I could not remove it, and returned to FOX to explain whats up. Chris had someone remove the bearing at no charge, keeping the original gasket, and even cleaning up the knuckle. Was a pleasure to do business. Thanks a ton, Chris. read more

They have on several times told me they have a part "used" for a cheap price. Then after sitting there for a half hour while the guy grabs it "off the shelf" they bring out the wrong part "accidentally" and then proceeded to try to sell me the brand new part for five times the price. I wouldn't say it's a deliberate scam except they have done it to me multiple times They usually have whenever you need just be prepared to pay more than they say. The you pull next door is the way to go read more

I have always liked Fox's because of their inventory and prices. On friday, my Dad went out there all the way from Manchester. He got caught up in the Michigan ave traffic and did not know if he would get ther by 5:00. So i called them and told the guy that he may be a few minutes late and also told him what part he was picking up. The guy was rude on the phone and kepty saying that it was friday and everyone would be ruinning out the door at 5:00. My dad got their about 5:03, the door was still open, but when he got inside the guy told him that he couldn't pull his part (from the back room) the guy who does that just left. They are a den of thieves or really incompetent. I've been dealing with they guys for a couple years. It seems like every single time I bring one of my three vehicles in for something, within a couple weeks I have to bring it back to have something completely unrelated fixed. It's starting to get fishy up in here. Here's the saga of my daughters car, but we have had similar problems with three vehicles. I brought my daughters newly acquired car to them because it was acting sluggish upon acceleration. I mention to them to check the head gasket. They assure me that the head gasket is fine, the problem is that it needs new spark plugs, wires and all that for around $250. We get it back, notice the car is doing the EXACT SAME THING. Bring it back, magically it's the head gasket for a $1200 fix. They should have noticed that upon pulling the spark plugs, but hey I'm not a mechanic. So instead of changing the head gasket, they replace the motor. The car is acting funny and I take it back three weeks later, and they tell me the motor mounts need to be replaced. They didn't address that when they replaced the motor? Another $2-300. Then some time later the transmission goes out, they tell me it's going to be fixed in a week, it takes two weeks actually, and when we go pick it up the car doesn't start. They jump the car, my daughter leaves in it, she has to have it towed back to Fox the same day and I'm told the alternator needs to be replaced. Had zero problem with the alternator before this. They replace the alternator. Get in the car, the radio doesn't work. They had to replace a fuse. Then three months later they have to put a new transmission in as the one they just put in goes out, it takes another two weeks because the first one they ordered as a replacement was bad. Good thing I got a warranty for another $200 because if I hadn't, they would have only covered the labor even though it was only three month old job And here's the really bad part- I had different car place check the suspension before taking it back to fox auto to get the second transmission. That car place said the car needed outer tie rods, and ball joints. I wanted to see what Fox said, as a second opinion. They said it needed outer tie rods, ball joints, wheel bearings and a CV boot. I refused to let them do it, took it to a third mechanic, and he said there was nothing wrong with the bearings, and it looked like someone had punctured the boot with a screwdriver but it was still okay for a while. So it appears that Fox Auto not only will sell you stuff you don't need, but also sabotages your vehicle so they can get more money from you. read more
