Wizards for vehicle repair. ​My Chrysler van was having issues. 4 different locations, all master mechanics, could not determine what the problem was. Even having the van for weeks and installing many sensors that showed as faulty on the scope, problem not solved. I was told to take it to Henry's or a dealership, the only options left. I never go to the mechanic, I've been doing my own oil changes for about a decade. Went in because I thought my oil leak had gotten worse. Ended up not going through with the leak repairs given the expense is more than my car is worth. Paid them for the labor from starting/investigating the leaks and for an oil change. They even put the sticker on my windshield saying they did the oil change. I come home and check the dipstick the next day to find oil up way past the hash marks. I get under my car to find my own, old oil filter. I drain the oil to find about 7 quarts of oil (my car only takes 6). I call today for some clarity, they say I "must not know enough about it" and that they didn't charge me for the filter. I'll attach my bill so you can see why i assumed I got a new filter in my oil change. Also I have no idea why I would ask for an oil change and you would choose to not put a new filter on, but still give me my sticker like I'm good to drive. read more

I stopped in for a routine oil change, I was char $71, as a courtesy, most oil change places check all fluids and air in the tires. There was nothing wrong with my 2020 Equinox, however, on my way home, first of all, none of my fluids were topped off then on my way home, I heard a loud boom from under the hood and my engine light came on. I called back as soon as I arrived home since they were closed but someone answered, I told him what happened, he said to bring it up the fill morning, brought it in the shop and came out to tell me a hose came off the engine and he fixed it and reset it but I'll need to stop and get antifreeze so I did that bc it was almost empty, that seemed to help until today when the check engine light came back on and I got an important message from OnStar. sooooo the hose that poop off poked a hole in my antifreeze tank bc now it's leaking. once they fix this, I will never return again. The old owners would never have let me drive off like that.I will NEVER return there again. the new owners don't take the time for customer satisfaction at all!!! My advice, find a new shop. Lmfao so I went here last week with a bad alternator they told me $180 which is a terrible price, go to mr .mufflers or babas if you want some real work done to you're car. next day I get a call. "Yea your oil housing is broken, whoever tried to take off the alternator broke it" like nobody touched the alternator besides them so I left with two broken parts instead of the one I originally showed up then they charged me $45 just to tell me they broke a part on my car. My family has been going to Henry's since the 1970s, so basically the third generation was now using them. Since Matt Gietzen is no longer the owner, the service has been in a downward spiral. My daughter's 2008 has had major issues due to their mess ups. A few months ago, she had her brakes replaced. Low and behold a brake leak started after that due to bolts not being tightened. This could have caused a major accident. Most recently, she paid over $300 for a battery replacement and two weeks later, her car died in the middle of a street due to the bolts on the battery terminal not being tightened. Again, very dangerous. We knew Henry and I know how disappointed he'd be if he was around for these. Needless to say, our family will not be back!! read more

Kind and accommodating until I declined paying the quoted $1260. After that, the customer service declined rapidly. I was sighed at, had eyes rolled at me, and was told, "Sounds like you have trust issues" because I was rightfully questioning why I couldn't take my vehicle home. There was also a hairline crack in my dashboard that is now completely cracked through after sitting in their garage overnight. Clearly, my car was thrown back together quite roughly. I guess customers who choose not to get work done because they cannot afford it do not receive the same outstanding care as customers who do. Personally, 0/0 do not recommend. read more

I dropped my 2002 Nissan Xterra off on April 10th in the morning. That afternoon I was called and told that it's a transmission problem and they do not do transmission work so I have to take it somewhere else. I asked them if they checked the transmission fluid and they said they did. I picked the car up the next day and ended up paying a fee of $48 I believe for a diagnostics check. I drove my car to another place that had serviced my vehicle previously and I forgot to tell them Henry's had checked the trans fluid I just told them that Henry said it was a transmission problem. They called me about 2 or 3 hours later and told me my car was 2 1/2 quarts low on transmission fluid. They told me that there was a small dripping in a hose and that they would repair it and test drive it to see if that helped. I called Henry's back and told them what I was told and the first thing they did was try to blame this other service shop by saying why didn't they check that previously when you had it there. I said that's beside the point you told me you checked the transmission fluid and it was two and a half quarts low and the other service shop is only about 6 minutes away from them and I'm sure my vehicle did not lose two and a half quarts of transmission fluid driving it from Henry's to the other shop. The reason the other shop didn't check it was because it wasn't running as bad as it was when I took it to Henry's. It had been over 3 weeks since I took it to the other shop and they did drive it numerous times and it wasn't acting up like it was when I finally decided to take it elsewhere and unfortunately went to Henry's. So today I got a call saying the car is fixed. He said he cannot guarantee that this will work permanently but he said that it is driving much better and not hesitating like it was. They said that if I end up having to get another transmission the price for the transmission and labor would be $2300, which is fantastic because I had been calling around and got quotes of $5000. The other thing that bothers me about Henry's is on their website under services that they provide it indicates transmission. I asked them about that when I went to pick my car up and he said we only put in new transmissions. Funny, they don't know how to check a transmission fluid leak but they can put in new transmission. I would not trust these guys at all. I read the reviews before I brought my car there and I noticed that the people that complained about them they always get a clap back from Henry's, so bring it on Henry's, I'm ready for it. Because I cannot give it zero stars I gave it one star because they're good at taking people's money for diagnostic test and don't do anything else. read more

The best part is they always answer the phone and give you the details of the repair or whats going on in the process. They even recommended a towing company Sparks towing, and they called me within 10 minutes and were pickinhg up the van in no time. great service read more

I still think this is a 4 star place. My brakes have been great, the drop box is a treasure in itself, the guys who work here are SO incredibly friendly and make taking your car in not feel so gloomy. But I just want to make people reading aware that after looking at other shops, I did find better prices elsewhere, so I now go to another shop. At first I felt dumb for paying more than I needed to, but then I remembered that the service was awesome, and I don't have to worry about or mess with my brakes whatsoever now. I moved to the area from Chicago. I had a wonderful shop that I went to when I was there. Henry's was what I was looking for. Like the shop in Chicago, this is a shop run by a Gary and his wife. They are very friendly and honest. I had a problem that they couldn't fix. Instead of trying to fix it, they referred me to another shop that was better equipped to deal with the issue I had with my exhaust. Mechanics and car shops can be a place of great stress and frustration, but Henry's takes care of and values their customers. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! I was in a real jam on the Thanksgiving weekend and they bent over backwards to get me on my way ---and it was my first time using them! Imagine how they treat their regulars? They were courteous and I felt they were very honest in pricing and what they could/couldn't do.
