I took my car in on 8/23/18 and was greeted with a smile. They spoke to me and my son and my son told them what he knew needed done and asked that they go over my car for any other problems. I had quite a bit of work done on my car and they were very reasonable about the cost and did a great job and got the car back to me in a reasonable time. I cannot say enough good things about the guys who work here. They are always friendly and honest, two things that are pretty rare when your car is broken. They are priced very fairly. And only once have I ever had to leave my car there more than a day, and it was because one of their mechanics had lost his wife so they were short that day. My condolences, and I felt terrible for even calling in to check on the status of my car when I heard that. Whenever there is something my dad isn't sure about, or that needs special tools he doesn't have, I don't hesitate to drop it off here. Funny, the parking lot is always full of cars yet they're so quick! And they do a thorough job and will tell you if some other place lied to you and you don't really need work done. If I ever have to move out of the area, I will be so bummed about not knowing where I can safely take my car. I recommend these guys whenever I can. read more

This was my second time using Bob and Jim's. my nail tech sent me there as they are church members. She said they are honest and do a good job. I actually forget what was wrong the first time but I do remember the curtious service and a price lower than the dealership. This time I was having trouble with steering. It was real hard to turn the wheel. Well after they checked it out they found I had real low tire pressure in the front. They explained to me that with all wheel drive the pressure is important. They said I needed two new tires. That sometimes they only sell 4 tires for all wheel drive because of this problem. I picked the car up and there was no charge. I got air and new tires. Bob & Jim's Auto Service is one of the most honest repair shops anywhere. I took my car to the dealership once to get a simple EGR valve cleaned, and they wanted $500!!! Bob & Jim's did the job for $44. They also patched up a muffler for us once for $40, when MIDAS said we needed a whole new muffler for $300! My only complaint is that on occasion, my problem wouldn't get properly repaired. But when this happens, they always fix it again for free. Also, sometimes the wait can be a bit long as they're pretty busy, but other than those two things, this place is great, and Jim is such a nice guy! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. While they may be affordable, the poor service, attitude, and lack of customer service in general makes this place not worth it. The only place I'll take my cars. Recently took my car there because it would stall out at random times. They inspected the car and found a loose sensor that was causing the problem. The guy gave me a call and explained what they believed to be the problem and that they made sure it was plugged in all the way. Best of all, there was no charge for what they did. They could've easily told me the sensor was no good and needed to be replaced, etc. etc. and charged me a few hundred bucks. These guys are honest and I trust them with my vehicles and they now have a customer for life. read more

Do NOT risk your car, time, and money on this place. I took my car in to receive some engine repair, when I got it back (although the initial problem was fixed), I found myself broken down two miles away from the shop with a whole new issue. When I could finally get a hold of the shop they were very defensive, rude, and unhelpful. I knew they did something wrong so I consulted with another mechanic and was told that they absolutely did damage to a part in my engine causing the accelerated issues. It was fixed by a place more credible, professional, and I would never recommend anyone give this place their business. read more

They did some engine repair but they don't check their work after they complete it. When I called to inquire a solution he took offense and became very aggressive. I can't say enough good things about this place. I have a 28 year old car, that has sat quite unloved for some time. Determined to get it running again, I called Bob and Jim's. They recommended a towing guy who was awesome and very affordable. The extent of work needed on my car was severe, and Zach let me know. We worked out a plan of attack and over the next three weeks we completely redid the brake system, lines and all, as well as the entire fuel system on the car. Zach was workable in letting me leave the car if I needed some time to get the money together, etc. Really worked with my schedule. The work they did was superb. The car runs great. They really went above and beyond as well with some undercoating and painting of rusty areas, at what I can tell was no extra cost. My one critique of this shop is how busy they are. Sometimes it would take 2-3 days in "line" before my car got in. Busy a good thing, and I know they are busy because of the quality of work they do. DO trust your car to Bob and Jim's. read more

The guys here are real pros. Very nice, very friendly, and they explained everything to me over the phone. After taking my girlfriends jeep to another establishment and feeling like we were being ripped off I tried Bob & Jims. Right off the bat they were professional and courteous. They were quite a bit cheaper than the other place we went to and didn't try to sell us extras I knew we didn't need. They fixed her brakes the next day and even stayed after hours a bit until we got there to pick it up. Anybody who has dealt with car repair shops knows how it can be. These guys made it easy and I knew we got a good deal from people who care. They have earned a new customer and I'll make sure everyone I know goes there as well.
