NEW UPDATE JUNE 4, 2018: Three months later! Just when you've forgotten about trashy people and terrible businesses...
It seems that the work done on my sister's car wasnt that great, since less than 3 months later the fuel pump went kaput and had to be fixed for free by this place. SOMEHOW, my sister got a message right after the car was dropped off to call the owner. She relayed concern that they were able to ascertain that her vehicle is affiliated with THIS review. Who wouldn't?! Who knows what kind of things they can do to harm her vehicle?! When she called him back, he tried to apologize for this mess and her vehicle. He implored her to ask me to take down the review!!! But TWIST!!! Super classy, intelligent and not at all looks like she does meth Trish was RIGHT in my inbox yesterday, saying, "haha your sister's car is back!" WTF, THIS IS CREEPY, RIDICULOUS, AND PERHAPS CRIMINAL!!! I called the shop immediately upon seeing the comment (still have NEVER responded to her since day 1 and the business NEVER ONCE responded to me. Owner says he did but NOPE, I would have absolutely reaponded) and asked for the owner. I said I wanted no one else. Nope, not there, okay I'll call back. Moments later I was called back by what I believe is Trish's husband asking, can *I* help with something?! NO, and why are you calling me when I just ended a phone call?!?! CREEPY, LACK OF BOUNDARIES. Then, this afternoon, I received a call from the owner. I had NOT left a message, my name, or my phone number. HOW IS THIS OKAY?!?! NOW THESE AWFUL PEOPLE HAVE A PHONE NUMBER I HAD FOR 18 YEARS. The owner tried to twist the story, make excuses as to why that family is still employed and affiliated with them, and justified called my phone number TWICE without me leaving it for anyone. I have an open complaint with the AG and Consumer Protection. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!! THEY HAVE NO DECENCY, PROFESSIONALISM, BOUNDARIES, OR ETHICS. The owner wonders why I'm mad. BECAUSE YOU EMPLOY SHADY PEOPLE AND REFUSE TO HAVE A BACKBONE. Screw this place.
UPDATED EDIT: I found out Trish is THE OWNER'S WIFE!!!! Not just that but I've now had the DAUGHTER of the owner contact me to bully and harass me. I have spoken to both local and state authorities and now I will make sure they don't do this anymore. IF YOU GO HERE YOU'RE ASKING FOR TROUBLE, UNPROFESSIONALISM, AND HARASSMENT. If comments are accessible to outside parties, they've left some examples of their attitudes on this post, which are rife with grammatical errors and personal insults.
EDIT: I've since been contacted and harassed by a person named "Trish", whose message was littered with personal attacks, admonishments, and attempts to discrediting me because I'm allegedly "miserable and lonely". It is obviously someone who works with the people here or is the woman in question who participated in the aforementioned transaction. I will be monitoring her harassment and taking further steps to protect myself should this continue. This place should be ashamed of itself not only for their mediocre work but for their dirty tactics of online bullying and harassment. I will be pursuing this across many consumer avenues now that I am being personally attacked.
Note: I was physically at this facility when all of this transpired. It was my sister's vehicle but she was unable to pick it up so our father and I helped out. Everything posted was personally witnessed by me.*
ORIGINAL POST: My sister dropped off her vehicle via tow truck after it refused to start in Brownstown. When I went to pick it up a day and a half later, my father and I waited over 15 minutes at the front desk after an apathetic mechanic at the counter said he couldn't help us and the desk guy would be back shortly. Another young woman was waiting, we presumed another customer. When FINALLY a person emerged from the back, the young woman was discreetly handed something obviously illicit (closed fist, around the side of the computer, guilty looks as i met his gaze) and left, and we finally were able to begin to pay and check out. It took another 10 minutes to gather the paperwork and cash it out. Then, these guys LOST THE KEY. For ANOTHER inconvenient 15-20 minutes, every mechanic was looking all around the garage and front desk for the key. We wasted over half of an hour at this facility because of incompetence and probable substance abuse. When I finally got the key and went to leave in my sister's vehicle, the check engine light was on. They couldn't even do something as simple as turn the damn light off. I hope her car is fine (it felt a bit shaky after) so she doesn't have to go back. My father was a mechanic for decades and I grew up in garages, but man, this one was just bad. There were never any apologies or explanations. Avoid this place at all costs. I know it says telegraph, but it's actually on ecorse next door to the McDonald by the secretary of state. read more
