I was already working with Scott at Michigan Sandblasting and planned to have my Jeep's underbody sandblasted there. Rashid told me they could apply POR-15 afterward, so based on that I paid to have the Jeep towed down there. After it arrived, everything changed. Rashid started questioning the project and for over a week I was given the runaround. Multiple times Rashid told me he would "talk to Scott figure out a solution and call me back," but the call back never happened. Every time I followed up I got the same vague response and nothing actually moved forward. Rashid knew all of the details prior to me towing it down there. If this wasn't a job they wanted to take on, that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of telling me to bring the vehicle down and spend money towing it there. It's extremely frustrating to be told something can be done, only to have the shop avoid giving a straight answer after the vehicle is already there. Very disappointing and unprofessional way to handle a customer. I wasted time and money because they couldn't simply be upfront about whether they were willing to do the work.

Two other mechanics at other repair shops attempted to repair my 1984 GMC Sierra Classic pickup…read more The three repairs shops cost about the same but neither of the first two shops, fixed the problem. It's a hard lesson on having an old vehicle when 1 nut holding a lifter in place ends up costing lots of money. The Heights repair shop knew the nut on the lifter was the problem and got the repair done and also replaced the gasket which the previous two shops didn't do. The repair cost was very reasonable, but again a big lesson on one nut costing three repairs, 2 tows and lots of aggravation. Good mechanics are hard to find. Heights Repair Shop is both reasonable and determined to do the repair correctly. I appreciate them and will continue to visit them, when I have a repair to get done.
