Met up with a friend today for dinner at BellaGreen in City Center. I've been here a few times and I love this restaurant for its simplicity and convenience. You can sit anywhere you want and you order your food through the mine and they'll bring it out to you. Great place to meet up for lunch as well and they do brunch on the weekends with live music from time to time. You'll either have to pay the meter to park on the street level or you can park in the parking garage (but read the signs in case it's a reserved spot) I usually get the lamb burger but I noticed they don't have it on the menu anymore so I just got the spinach/artichoke dip which was served with Pita Bread and their 8 piece wings. I will say that my spinach dip had an interesting taste. I'm not sure what type of cheese was used but I imagine that's what contributed to it. It had an aftertaste that I want to say was a bit tart/mildly sour. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't my absolute favorite. My wings were really good but they were a little too small and a tad bit over cooked. I've had better food from here before but my dinner today was just okay. I'll probably get another burger again the next time I come. I'll give this place a 4/5 overall but I think my food this to round was more of a 3.5. read more

Nothing beats sitting outside on a lovely day enjoying a delicious meal. My son is a very picky eater but loves their kid's breakfast plate every time we go. The pancakes are fluffy and light. Their veggie omelette is hands down the best omelette I've ever had and the potatoes O'Brien are a must! Customer service is always outstanding at this location. So glad I finally tried this place, I've already been twice. Their staff is very friendly, I didn't know what to order the first time and the cashier gave me some tips on what is popular. The River Oaks location is our favorite and we visit at least once a week. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere. We have had a number of their entrees but our favorites are the Queen pizza, chicken tacos, hamburger, small house salad and the Domino cake. So delicious. Highly recommend! The sweet potato fries were awesome, I see why they were voted best in Houston. The salad, was fresh and flavorful, but I am not a fan of fruit in my salads. That is a personal preference so I do not hold BellaGreen accountable. However, I must notate that the strawberries were delicious on their own and perfectly ripe. Service was very much lacking. I got the fried goat cheese salad and it was seriously one of the best salads I've ever had. It had a really great variety of flavors and textures and that fried goat cheese medallion was out of this world creamy! It was the star on the plate and I also added grilled tofu for some protein. This salad was so huge that I can share it with another person. My daughter had chicken tenders and sweet potato fries. I wish the fries were a bit more crispier but it was still good. My sister got the paleo stuffed salmon bc she loves a good fish taco. We got an outside table, with a delightful view of the "green" space at City Centre and lots of sunshine to enjoy the great fall weather we've had. I ordered the Salmon pasta, which had some pesto, micro greens, cheese, and a bunch of small veggie accoutrements. I thought the dish was well put together, it felt light and robust, the salmon was great quality and deliciously cooked (I ordered it medium), I was just surprised by the sheer amount of food in this dish. I know they focus on healthy foods but I had about half the pasta left by the time I was done, and I'm not one to let food go to waste! I would definitely order this again!
