I was on a trip in Houston and I decided to stop by to get my favorite fire roasted tomato soup that I usually get in Dallas. Once I placed my order I realised I lost my wallet in the cab. The staff let me pay for food with picture of my credit card, landed me a phone charger and kept checking on me and my situation as I was waiting to receive a phone call from the driver. I wanted to thank all the staff as they were extremely helpful and very kind to me. To finish my story, the Uber driver did call me back and return my wallet. And tomato soup and goat cheese salad I ordered were delicious and full of flavors. read more

Friday's visit was the first since, the Finfish scandal. I was just as impressed with the new ownership. The food surpassed my expectations and maintained the quality of the restaurant's brand. I had the seasonal Houston Hot Burger. It had a great taste which came from the fresh ingredients. I would recommend if you have a chance. Very cute location with lots of natural light and greenery inside. I chose a seat next to the grey stone wall that had some potentially faux foliage hanging from the wall. The cashier I interacted with was very friendly and patient as I took more than a few moments trying to add a credit card to my Thanx app. I ordered my honey fried goat cheese and arugula salad and took my seat. The salad hadn't changed much since the first time I had it 2 years ago - still a huge portion with dried fruit and mangoes and the fried goat cheese forever the highlight of this delicious dish. I ordered the white chocolate bread pudding to-go, but to my dismay it didn't even come close to the standard my salad had set. The bread pudding was more of a custard and I'm not even sure how much bread was used. It was covered with milk chocolate, which seems strange given that it's supposed to be a white chocolate dessert. The fruit jelly seemed like a strange addition, but I poured it all over my bread pudding anyway though it didn't really add much to my less-than-solid (pun intended) bread pudding. read more

Bellagreen Is one of those restaurants that's very hard for me to review because I was with it from the beginning when it was Ruggles Green and I've been following the former owner Bruce Molzan since his early days of opening the original ruggles, the new owners took over and change the name to Bellagreen it seems like the quality changed and for me the quality went down but I know many people who truly love this restaurant, the onion soup that I had which was a seasonal offering was just boring, it wasn't good or bad just boring, I also had the Paleo salmon tacos which were really good for the exception that the salmon was way overcooked, but I really enjoyed the overall flavor, I will look at some other reviews and try some dishes that got great reviews in the near future and hopefully I can bring my rating up, I will say that they have some of the nicest staff that you will ever find in a restaurant. A few of our favorites that never dissapoint: the protein "hempanadas," Honey fried arugula goat cheese salad and spinach salad, paleo spaghetti squash bolognese, dales pizza and if you have a sweet tooth, the white chocolate bread pudding (more like baked sliced baguette with vanilla cream custard and just the right amount of sweetness) hits the spot. First time here. I had the salmon salad. Mango dressing was very tasty. Never had that type of dressing before. You'll have to excuse my salad photo. I was so hungry I dove in before taking the full pic. It's a big salad so I put some on another plate to properly stir everything up. I will come here again. Our Local friend from Houston, took us there on saturday for lunch. I had a really great experience and extremely enjoyed the pizza that I had. We ordered Margarita Pizza and Dale's Pizza. It was plenty enough for four people. I've been to bellagreen ever since it was even ruggles green! It's always a solid option when it comes to tasty and fresh foods. They have one of my favorite salads to get at a restaurant, the crispy goat cheese salad. It has an amazing mango ranch dressing and almonds, jicama, carrots with the best crispy goat cheese to go along with it on a huge bed of arugula! So delicious. I tried to add an egg (first time I've done this) but it's honestly not my favorite with it since the egg was a little overdone (can tell with the gray ring around the yolk) but still was a tasty salad overall! My husband got the chicken sandwich, also delicious but he notes it is a bit drier than he wanted. We shared a bowl of tomato soup with it. Usually the bowl of soup comes with puff pastry in restaurant but maybe since to go there was none :( which is upsetting Bc that was one of the best parts! I had an afterlife experience, Angels were sitting at my table amongst me guiding my every bite. The owner and chef at this place are ordained by God, the have followed his instruction to the T. I cannot not even explain to you how I felt eating that entree, foodgasm doesn't cover it. The fact that they created a sandwich for me based on what I wanted... And it was so delicious that my eyes rolled back and I almost died on the spot! They deserve an Emmy, Grammy, Wimbledon trophy or whatever for that! Despite visiting Houston numerous times prior, this was my first time at Bellagreen and I loved it. I'm not usually a fan of fast casual food and the ordering up front, but for this spacious location I really didn't mind it. I originally came for the gluten free options and they didn't disappoint. I had the lamb burger and sweet potato fries and my boyfriend had the meatball sandwich. The lamb burger was superb. I appreciated that my food had a marker indicating precautions were taken. My boyfriend was less than thrilled with his sandwich, it only had 3 small meatballs and he was expecting more. I love the assortment of cold herbal teas and the nontraditional sodas. There was plenty of inside and outside seating, and the parking lot is a actually large enough and covered. We even came back for brunch the next day. Ruggles serves good quality food in a modern, but casual setting. We ordered a cup of their tomato basil soup, the spinach salad, and their quinoa linguini with turkey meatballs. The soup was delicious, and I loved the gooey cheese and fragrant basil that you get with each spoonful. The linguini was fresh tasting, and I enjoyed the hints of basil present in this dish as well. However, the linguini itself was still not flavorful enough for me. But, I really loved the spinach salad! The textures going on in this salad are what make it fun. The spinach, onions, bacon, cheese, egg, croutons, and other wonderful bits melded together well. The vinaigrette over this salad was delicious. I would definitely order this in a heartbeat the next time I come here. The Gables parking lot here is small. But, turnover on a weeknight was pretty decent and we were able to find a spot. I'm not sure how they fare on weekends, though. I guess street parking would be your next option. read more

This place is a dream and has an amazing outdoor patio. I'm a sucker for a good salad and the seasonal watermelon salad here was delicious. Big chunks of watermelon and salt feta. I added a blackened chicken breast to get some protein. The dressing was light in flavor to allow for the flavors of the ingredients to shine. I would eat that salad over and over again. The outdoor patio is completely covered and appropriately social distanced to allow for ease while dining. My friends enjoyed their sandwiches as well. They have a fairly large menu with lots of different options: sandwiches, salads, pizzas, desserts. The inside is pretty big and it was clean. I will say the tables could have been cleaned a little better (crumbs) but oh well. Bathroom was clean as well, but it's one person only. I got the salmon salad and I would definitely recommend! I placed an order on doordash and ordered the following: Mac and cheese Sweet potato fries Corn pablano bisque Cesar salad Mac and cheese was hard and cheese was cold. Sweet potato fries were warm, but they were delicious. I expected them to be warm, but they were just cold. I had to microwave the rest which they became soggy. Corn poblano bisque was also cold. I've had this many times before and this was very water like. The bisque is supposed to have a thicker consistency, but it didn't. There was not much corn to begin with. I got the bowl and it was not worth the extra $2-3. The Cesar salad was good. Can't complain about the salad. The dressing was nice and creamy and they put the dressing and cheese on the side as I asked. Also, I requested juice but I was given a soda. Overall, not happy. My lunch was not worth $21. I am so disappointed to write this review. Bellagreen is one of my favorite places to order in from. I finally came here for Sunday brunch dine-in and couldn't be more disappointed with the service and the food. We ordered a custom, 3 ingredient omelette. My sister is lactose intolerant and asked gir no cheese. The kitchen added it to the omelette anyway, so we had to send it back. Unfortunately they put it all the way back in the queue and we had to wait 30 minutes for a new omelette, this tuning brunch for my sister who didn't get her good until we had finished eating. To mane it worse, the omelette came burnt with uncooked spinach (photo). We had to follow up with two different servers 3x for sides of butter and chipotle mayo for our pancakes and breakfast tacos. The service was so slow, forgetful and poor. Not worth the effort on a Sunday. Maybe they're just better to order in. read more

However I ordered from them online and requested a cup of soup which arrived at about a 1/2 cup portion, and ordered a bowl of soup which came at about a one cup portion.
