I have one complaint and it's not the food. The food is delicious and I have been eating here for many years. You must try their salmon, salads and pizzas - amazing. However I ordered from them online and requested a cup of soup which arrived at about a 1/2 cup portion, and ordered a bowl of soup which came at about a one cup portion. I had to do a triple take as I thought they'd made some kind of error. Soup portions here are tiny!! They won't be losing me over this, just won't be ordering soup again. read more

What I like about the menu is that they offer gluten free, dairy free, veggie options and is labeled next to the menu item. If you're on the whole 30 diet, there's plenty of choices on the menu you can order without stressing too much about the ingredients being non-compliant. Here's my favs: -3 veggie tacos with the queso fresco and hot sauce on the side. The veggie tacos with the queso fresco as the sauce was tasty and even though it was only portobello mushrooms and black bean spread, it was still filling. -The hummus was ok, the texture was not as creamy as what I am used to. It was hard to dip into the spread with the flatbread without getting a huge chunk. -chicken curry salad with mixed greens, shaved carrots, mango, sliced oranges, jicama, raisins & toasted almonds; tossed with orange honey yogurt dressing & topped with grilled curry chicken is tasty. The curry taste is very light and not overbearing. -white chocolate bread pudding as dessert is one of best I've had. I knocked off one star for the portion sizing and pricing. It's on the higher end. read more

Quick note slow down when trying to finding this place because you can easily pass it by. I was recommended this place as I am a turkey burger connoisseur. Let me say I love how the windows bring natural light into the restaurant. Second I love the open kitchen atmosphere and woodfired pizza oven. I came during lunch time pretty steady busy but the staff was friendly and service was quick. I had my turkey burger it was awesome a little bit dry then I'm normally used to but still tasty. Fresh turkey burger to be exact field greens instead of iceberg lettuce pickles were different red onions I had a salad and fries I looked on the menu and saw that I had many options for my side I chose the salad and the mango ranch dressing AWESOME! Then I ordered fries as well awesome hand cut sea salt fries . I sat in one of the side booth and checked out the staff as they cleaned up quickly the place is very clean the staff is very nice needless to say I will be back Sooner than later ! read more

Ruggles Green re-opened at this new location last year and let's just say "It's about time!" We were finally able to squeeze in lunch time here over the weekend because we were wanting to enjoy lunch with our pup, but our usual place was packed and it was hot, so we needed to find a place that had a covered patio. I much prefer this location over The Heights purely because the covered patio is more spacious and dog friendly. Also, there is free parking in the garage, but make sure to read the signs carefully. Don't be fooled that only good food is unhealthy food. The food here is so delicious and they have lots of healthy options. I have personally tried their salad, burgers, sweet potato fries, and pizza. The pizza is hands down my favorite thing here. I love the Dale's pizza which is meaty and cheesy! The pizzas and the salads are pretty decently sized and great to share or to pack to go for leftovers. I still have yet to try their desserts, but I hear they are all unique and amazing! We will be back! read more

bellagreen - Psst! Are you going to finish all of that? Dale's pizza. - New American Near Me - Houston, Texas

Great food and service! The patio was just as welcoming as the inside. I'll definitely return when the weather permits.

Even amidst this covid-19, I can still order for delivery or curbside! So my sister and I decided to order from bellagreen. This was my first time ever trying out this place and the food was spot on. I wish I could comment more on service and atmosphere, but maybe once this stay at home order lifts, I will be able to! The food was delicious and guilt free. Especially great for those that are diet conscious. The sweet potato fries were delicious and the jalapeno bacon was just perfectly crispy! Definitely wanting to go back and try the other dishes. read more

Don't know why it took me so long to rate this place, but let me assure you; exquisite. My girlfriend introduced me to this place a while back and I've came time after time since. If your looking for top quality, fresh and healthy ingredients for lunch or dinner, look no further. Bella also has great awareness about making a lot of their food gluten free but let me assure you once again, the quality of the flavor does not suffer here. Anywhere from getting a burger, ordering some of their spinach dip appetizer, soups, pasta and oh especially their fish tacos are to look forward to. They have a really nice dining area but an even better outdoor patio for those who want a breath of fresh air. Would I recommend? Oh I already have. read more

I think the name change is weird...lol...but...i digress. Haven't had this location before, and I actually really liked it. the food was tasty, of course, and I was REALLY hungry. I had the lamb burger, the side house salad, and the bread pudding. I just love how juiiiicy the lamb burgers are. so very flavorful. the salad was standard so no glory there...ha...but the bread pudding... I have been eating at hour intervals because I do not want to finish too fast. lol it's AWARD-WINNING so...I expect NOTHING less. read more

I tried the pizza out of curiosity considering they're not exactly a pizza spot. Turns out it's some of the most tasteful pizza you'll find around here. I got the Margherita Pizza, and it did not disappoint one bit. Was super tasteful and fresh, i would recommend it 100/10 read more

Bellagreen (formerly Ruggles Green) is a great casual dining option if you're feeling in a healthy-ish mood. My favorite meal is the fried goat cheese salad- a bit indulgent with the fried cheese but overall lots of greens with a well balanced dressing. The sweet potato fries are also VERY good. read more

I was excited to try Bellagreen (Ruggles Green), but it was a let down. I perused the salad options and settled on the spinach salad. My husband ordered the spinach dip and the Atlantic Salmon salad. He ordered better than me. His salad was just okay and mine was awful. It tasted like vinegar! Yuck! The one thing that was delicious was the spinach and artichoke dip which ended up being my meal. If it wasn't for that dip I would have given it 1 star read more

Ordered a Kale Ceasar Salad from this location via Door Dash. Not only was my chicken over cooked and dry.....I found a bug in the salad mix while eating Absolutely disgusting. The manager Robin offered a verbal apology and a full refund back to my card. When asked if a gift card would be provided to maintain my business, I was informed that "they do not do that sorta thing." Needless to say I will not be returning. The refund was the minimum you could do...nothing was provided to motivate me to return. Grossed out and will take my business elsewhere. Matter of fact I won't be visiting any Bellagreen locations in the Houston area. Sweet green is better! ‍ read more

This restaurant is honestly one of the best in town. I've been here multiple times and each time I leave full and satisfied. They food is great, portions are great, and it comes out under 10 minutes. Cannot Say Enough Great Things About Bellagreen, their Food, their People - and their Culture! Bellagreen was one of the 1st restaurants I dined at when I first moved to Houston. A friend knew as a fit foodie who also loved burgers and big portions - but had a healthy conscious, it'd be perfect. He couldn't have introduced me to a better fit! Bellagreen has FABULOUS food, always fresh, always affordable, always health conscious and made-to-order. --They have a culture and an investment in their community to support customization of food for people who have a number of dietary restrictions and concerns that I've witnessed first hand. There are people who have all kinds of allergies, dietary reactions and such limitations on what they can eat, there are so few places they can go to dine. Bellagreen will customize any entree to meet dietary and taste needs. --- They're one of the few gluten free and vegan friendly eateries in town. Their menu has a number of options of sandwiches, salads, burgers, wraps, pastas, and seafood that are delish and guilt free. --- THEY ARE THE ONLY GREEN CERTIFIED RESTAURANT IN HOUSTON PROPPER! That means they have operations and business practices in place to reduce food waste, conserve water, reduce energy and carbon footprint in great contrast to the restaurant industry. They also donate a good deal to green, environmentally sustainable charities, including growing their communities with more trees and green spaces. --- Stand Out Entrees: Lamb Burger! Anything Salmon! Huge Salads! Hemp Protein Brownies. Empanadas! --- Dog Friendly, Family Friendly, Budget Friendly, Wine-Sipping-Patioside Friendly I work on the patio on my laptop a lot and everyone on staff is super friendly and busy bees. I love how you see both women in the front of the house and back of the house. If you're visiting Houston, Bellagreen is a namesake staple everyone can count on for different tastes and dietary concerns. Go to the one on Alabama and ask for assistant GM Anthony - who you can tell loves his job and the people. And don't forget the sweet potato fries!!! read more

BE AWARE going to this location because they are not responsible if your car gets broken into. Awhile back I visited with my friends and we experienced my car getting broken into, the restaurants response was just "oh it happens all the time, but it had not occurred since December." That was not a response you give to loyal customers if you knew people are at risk parking why do you not hire a security guard? This is river oaks location wouldn't you think it would be safe? It's so sad that this restaurant did not care to do anything about the situation because it was my go to place for almost everything on their menu. I can honestly say I loved everything on that menu starting from the veggie lettuce wraps, the veggie burger, the spicy shrimp pasta, Cuban pork panini, blackened shrimp salad, lemon poppy seed cheesecake everything always had such an amazing flavor. But safety and customer service is before anything, and this restaurant does not care for that. read more

I adore this place! I eat here 1-2 times per week when I'm on-the-go and in need of a delicious, healthy meal that will fill me up. I usually get the lamb burger, corn chowder or the kale Caesar salad with chicken. I've also had the turkey burger. I like to go here for brunch, too. You can't go wrong with anything on their brunch menu. They seem to accommodate all diet trends for any time of day. read more

I love bellagreen! The food is fresh and flavorful. There are a lot of options, and I loveeee the seasonal honey garlic cauliflower wings!!! They are perfectly crispy and are delicious. I was so surprised that they were gluten free. I love the food, but have issues with the bellagreen app. I placed an order, and cancelled it within a minute after I posted it, and the restaurant wasn't notified that the order was cancelled so I was still charged for it. If you add money to your account in the app, you can't place order ahead through the app using the money you added to you account (you can only scan the app in the restaurant to use the money), which makes it not as convenient or useful. read more

This used to be our usual place on a Sunday afternoon after we got out of church. We stopped coming because Covid things started getting bad again with the Delta variant. So after things ironed out, we decided to start coming back. We came on a usual after Sunday church service and the experience was just Meh. It was my first time trying the curry chicken salad. I love foods that have curry seasoning so I was excited to try this salad. The salad comes with 3 chicken breast. The salad is also a nice size. The chicken had curry but it didn't have flavor If that makes sense. I think what made it taste ok was the taste from the salad... however, the salad was drowned in dressing, it was a bit overwhelming. The salad tasted ok, but not their best. read more

Ruffles green is one of my favorite healthy-food restaurants. This is my first time in this new location. Before continue with the review, be aware about the parking situation. The Ruggles parking lot is inside the building, therefore it is covered. The parking lot on the left of Ruggles is not covered and it belongs to another restaurant. Don't park here, your car will be TOWED. So remember: covered means ok, not covered means TOWED. I didn't get my car towed when I was there but I know how painful is to go through it. Therefore guys, watch out. Coming back to the restaurant, the food is very well made, nice to see and delicious to taste. I had a Roasted Chicken sandwich and it was very good. They have so many other healthy options and I would suggest the Buffalo burger as well. Overall, the environment is nice, the inside is cozy and the patio is great. For sure I would say that you can make it a romantic experience, therefore I think Ruggles would be a perfect place for a date. read more

As we try to make the world a greener place, it's Ruggles Green trying to make Houston a healthier (and tastier) one. I was first introduced to RG at their old location before they moved into this fancier, slightly larger space and came away so impressed I needed to try it again. I've learned this isn't the only location in town, but easily one of the most popular ones within the chain. There is a little something for everyone, all palates can find their choice of meats, pastas, and veggies across their super robust menu. It's family friendly with a plethora of gluten-free, organic, and dairy free choices for anyone starving for something less artery clogging. Their salads are super tasty, but the pizzas tend to be a hit with the little ones. The spaghetti squash is also a hit as is the sandwich options (pssst, get the roast chicken!). I've heard of their desserts being legendary (such as the bread pudding) but I've yet to try any. Prices could be a little friendlier on the wallet, but the service and lack of other better options make it worth it. While I am often excited to see what they're offering seasonally, I'm just happy to know that folks on the healthy track can count on Ruggles Green as reliable option. read more

Love this spot! I visit every time we come into town. Atmosphere's nice, the restaurant's spacious. Free wifi is a plus. Staff are quick to help and will lead you in the right direction as the menu is big. Aziza's super friendly and always recommends something tasty. Go for the chicken caesar wrap, or the brick chicken. And you can't beat the white chocolate bread pudding for dessert! read more

Didn't fall far from the old name that shall not be mentioned due to bad publicity. Same menu and great taste. I feel the ambiance and service have gotten much better though. This location is very nice with clean decor and layout. There's plenty of seating for a large group. Patio for outdoor dining. Love the retro wallpaper in the women's restroom. If your kid is a big eater, this place is it. Genuine portions from the kids menu for kids who like to eat. And actual good food. Adults have plenty to choose from. Vegan. Check. Vegetarian. Check. Gluten free. Check. Dairy free. Check. Everyone I go with, have left happy and full. read more

What can I say--it's Ruggles Green. It's consistent. It's delicious. And it's finally back from the dead! Well, maybe it just got a second chance at life after its "divorce" from the old location down the street. But we like this new, fresh and spacious RG, don't we?! Of course we do! Especially since there's no need to trek over to the Heights or City Centre anymore. At least for some of us... If I listed everything that's good, I would cut and paste practically the entire menu here, so I'll just save myself the trouble and tell you to start off with the hempenadas, chow down on a buffalo burger with sweet potato fries, and finish it off with bread pudding. OK well now I can't help but mention a few of my other personal favorites--you won't go wrong with the lettuce wraps, corn chowder and French onion soup, goat cheese salad and blackened shrimp salad, all the tacos, veggie nut burger and domino cake. See, that's half the menu already! I'll stop now... otherwise, friendly staff and a clean environment make RG a great choice for a laid back dining experience. read more

I'm updating my review because I now realize how expensive this place is! (Last time, someone else was paying.) While very good, it's just pretty pricey for what you get. I got the same curried chicken salad that I ordered last time, and it was delicious. I also ordered a slice of carrot cake, which was just OK and reasonably sized. Bottom line: for just a salad and a slice of cake (with just counter service), my bill was over $21 before tip. That's crazy! read more

I'm celebrating the reopening of a Ruggles Green in Central Houston. I was getting tired of trekking all the way to City Center or the Woodlands for my Ruggles fix. This is your typical Ruggles Green fare for anyone who has experienced the other locations. I came here at noon on a Wednesday and it was not crazy at all. I was expecting a large line but actually walked straight up to the register and placed my order in five minutes. I ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap with a side of fruit (extra 50 cent charge, FYI). My friend and I took our number and found a nice place outside to overlook the scenic view of West Alabama (note: the sarcasm). I like this location, it is a little smaller than their other spots, but I like how it is built up and off the street. There is a nice parking garage attached to the restaurant/apartment complex with free parking on the first level for Ruggles customers. Again, the menu is your standard Ruggles menu which means heavy on the quinoa/kale and vegetarian options. My chicken caesar wrap was delicious though slightly heavy on the dressing. The fruit was very icy-cold which was a nice combat to the warm weather. Will give 4-stars because this is a must visit restaurant in the area, but it doesn't outshine the other locations. The Ruggles in City Center is truly the diamond of the franchise. read more
