Horrible Experience - My daughters (12 yo twins) received gift certificates for here and pressed juice next door for their birthday. I called today to set up appoitments explained they had received them for their bday etc. Got to salon, very nice and clean, gave receptionist gift cards, she had kids chairs already set up. Manicursits asked if children would want cuticles cut, I said no. As we were preparring for departure the recepetionist told me the gift certificates were only good for "Kids mani peds" and I said "yes. that is what they had" and she informed me I had not said "kids" but "adults" and I owe her $58.00. I was shocked and said they are OBVIOUSLY kids standing in front of her. She said than said if you do not pay I will not allow you leave and call the police, I said please do. It gets better, the kind woman who actually performed the mani pedi came forward and told her to change the charge. The vile receptionist turned to them and said fine I will take it out of your pay... It was like a horror movie! I over tipped the kind manicurists and informed the receptionist I would be calling her manager, she replied "don't bother." The kids and I were astonished that anyone would behave this way. It certainly sucked the fun out of their birthday presents! Don't walk RUN from this place! read more

So I'm not sure if it's just this location but my experience was't worth the price I paid. If you are going to be paying top dollar for a mani pedi at this place I think the service needs to correlate with what you're paying. I understand that up-selling may be in the job description but by no means must you be so aggressive about it and make people feel bad if they don't feel like paying an extra $30 for a foot scrub, I'm just saying, have some etiquette and don't treat your customers different if they politely decline any extra services. So with that being said, I will not be returning to this location. read more

I've been going to different Bellacures locations for a while and this one is the best. Spacious, ultra clean, great technicians, easy parking. The chairs are a dream and the staff is courteous. I don't miss the "spa tubs" at all- those are a breeding ground for all sorts of nasty stuff and a sure way to get a nail infection. BCures' system is efficient, comfy and ultra-hygienic. Bellacures is great! I went in today to get a manicure and pedicure with a Bloomspot deal that I purchased recently. I made an appointment online and it was super easy. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist that helped me choose my nail color keeping in mind that I was getting my nails done for an upcoming bachelorette party. I took my girls in for a kid manicure (which is a specific menu item at the salon). A very nice and friendly lady did my first girl. She filed and buffed her nails and polished with desired colors, including top coat and base. My other daughter received a coat of polish. THATS ALL. When I asked why her nails weren't filed or buffed, I was told that's not done for a kid mani. I confirmed with the front desk and they told me that was incorrect and offered me a 10% discount for my troubles...so basically $1 off. They also state online that they feature Ella and Mila polish (which is non toxic and kid friendly). That was a definite draw for me. Unfortunately, the color selection isn't great. I was looking for a hot pink for my toes, which was nowhere to be found. Of course, this isn't a huge deal. However, the vibe of the place and my experience as a whole was quite negative. I love this nail spa in studio city! My two girls I love and appreciate so much, Amy and Lyn, are the sweetest and best at mani and pedi's! They really do a great job and my nails are always perfect and last longer than 2 weeks (if I don't wash dishes without gloves... lol!) my favorite is the hot wax they offer for your hands and feet. Makes a huge difference when trying to moisture and relax. I went to Bellacures before my wedding. I got a gel French manicure and a pedicure and i loved it!! I am SUPER picky with French manicures but somehow they did it better than i hoped for. It was gentle, feminine and very neat. Two weeks later as my nails started to grow out i was not able to even notice that the gel was on my nails as i have with other salons where you see it growing out. And many people asked what i did to make my nails so shiny:) Pedicure is still on and hasn't chipped and its been a month since i got it done. This review is not based off any of the technicians that work there or Beatrice the wonderful girl who has worked the front desk in the past. BUT (and this is a HUGE but...) do not save your credit card info in their system. If you have a common name, and there happens to be more than one individual in the system with that name, they will accidentally schedule appointments on your account and in some instances even charge your card on file. I have called them multiple times when this has happened and they do not seem to care or have any desire to remedy the issue in the future. read more

I like the manicures and pedicures, although they're really expensive. What I don't like is not being able to put a tip on a credit card. Most women don't carry a lot of cash. This is even more worrisome when the technicians up sell you and then you don't have enough money to tip them. But wait, you can use Bellacures' ATM machine so that they make an extra $2-$3 on ATM fees. Bad for business. read more

Bellacures is beautiful inside, with huge comfy chairs to lounge in while you get your treatment and a great selection of magazines :) Everyone was kind and upbeat, and I really liked the woman who did my pedicure, Vy. She did a really great job (they look perfect) and got it done in under 30 minutes. They have really fun and fancy treatments, but if you want to go for a basic mani or pedi, they are SUPER affordable, and you still get the upscale ambiance. I'm definitely planning on taking a friend in with me for my next manicure. But book ahead (on their site is super easy) because they book up fast! read more
