I got a gelish manicure a week ago, and I've been debating posting a review based on it ever since. I got a Daily Candy deal for the manicure plus a bottle of hand lotion, and I'm really glad I didn't pay full price. First, the site said the manicure included removal of any type of polish, but when I got there I was told it would be another $8 to remove the gelish I was currently wearing. Now, if you say ANY TYPE, that, to me, at least, includes gelish, since it's a type of polish. If it's standard polish only, they should really let people know that. But let's move on to real issues... Pearl was nice and friendly, but I'm not thrilled with the manicure. She nicked me just below the nail pretty badly on my left ring finger. It hurt most of the week, which I wasn't thrilled about. She also cut too deeply on one of my cuticles, resulting in a lovely sore finger for most of the week. She didn't go all the way to the cuticle with the polish, which means it already looks much more grown out than it should. I've been picking polish off my fingers all week, and with gelish, that's not fun. Overall, there's no way I would ever pay $50 for this quality of a manicure. I don't plan to go back. read more

Owner in the "Boss Lady" cap all decked out in her designer duds was sitting directly across from me getting a neck massage - we made eye contact several times and never once did she smile at me or make me feel welcome in HER nail salon. She doesn't appreciate new customers or the fact that it's because of customers like me that she even has her designer lifestyle. It was truly sad. The vibe was terrible, it was crowded, busy and just loud. Chairs were uncomfortable and were just basic big club chairs with stains all over them. Daughter did not like the vibe either so it wasn't just me. Skip this place and try something else where your money is appreciated. Very overpriced for the services provided as well. No offer of something to drink and no massage chairs. I keep seeing reviews of how this owner just doesn't care - it's very very obvious! Just the fact that she didn't even crack a smile at me to welcome me says she's not in it for customer retention...just greed. Last sentence from the DM I received from their manager regarding my review- not one apology, not one nice thing to say to other than this- WOW- I hit the nail on the head with this place - run don't walk far from this place: "Have a wonderful and blessed weekend and I truly hope that one day when you don't feel like smiling for reasons sad and unknown karma doesn't bite back! The ladies at Bellacures do a great job and I love the big comfy chairs. The only reason this place gets a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 star rating is because you cannot tip on your card. Their prices are HIGH and to not be able to tip on that dollar amount is absurd. I had bought 5 basic manicures for $70 from Gilt City a while back. I looked over the shop's website and it seemed clean and worth the $$ bc the mani's there are usually $20. My first two appts were mediocre at best, with minimal cuticle trimming, very short massage and a less than stellar polish job. I would say the first two were worth the $14 I paid for them (with the Gilt discount). On my third visit, I was wearing Gelish (which I had gotten from another salon I adore...probably should have just stuck with quality), and I was informed that it would be $15 Bellacures to remove the Gelish. Are you joking?! That's more than the manicure. The receptionist in front kindly informed me that had I told her I was wearing Gelish when I had booked my appointment, she would have let me know the fee. Uh, I hope so. $15 to take off polish seems like a rip-off to me, since everywhere else I have been does it for free. Since I was thoroughly irritated at this point, I asked if I could just reschedule my appointment (so I could go home and soak the Gelish off myself ... for free). Again, I was kindly informed that I would forfeit one of the appointments on my Gilt credit. I should have just lumped my losses, because when the technician took off the Gelish, she hacked divets in most of my nails, and didn't get all the base off so when she painted over it, the new polish was lumpy. Awesome. All in all, I'll probably go back and use up my last two mani's bc I hate the idea of paying them for services they didn't have to provide. If I hadn't already paid for the Gilt City pack, I would never ever be going back. There are far better nail salons for less money with better service. read more

Well, I happened upon BellaCures on a lark, really. I was leaving DryBar and looked down at my grubby nails, and looked up, and there was BellaCures. It was easy to see, because I was walking by. Driving, I would probably have missed it. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. I had a thoroughly awesome experience. The receptionist was super friendly and both my nail techs (Amy and Dianna) were great! Thorough, neat, and both gave very excellent massages. (Not a paid for massage, just the kind that is part of the service.) I would go back again in a heartbeat! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you can't put a tip on your credit card and I never have cash. I had to walk down to Coldwater to get cash. And it wasn't my bank, so thety charged me $3, which I just hate on principle. But, that's not BellaCures fault. :-) read more

I had the worst 1st experience there which included being sneezed on, cut, charged an extra $50 (hours after I left for an extra service that was not initially charged but should have been for $15 not $50), as well as, feeling rushed out like cattle. When I wrote to the manager she was truly geniune in trying to make things right and extremely responsive. After some thought I decided to take her up on her offer to give them another try, on them. Well, let me tell you friends, don't waste your time or money. The "owner" was there and came to me very briefly while I was just starting my services and asked if everything was fine but seemed disinterested, distracted, and not genuine with no real interest is making things right. When I left the girls had no idea who I was, who worked on me and I had to leave the tip with them. Seems to me they need some serious help on many levels. Needless to say, it was an mediocre mani pedi that lasted no more than 20-25 minutes at most. Now for services that would run you almost $60 when it's all said and done (because I believe in tipping), this place is a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. read more

I made an appointment for a manicure online. I had never been to Bellacures before and chose the salon because it's close to work. I came in for my appointment and was directed to choose a color. I found their color selection for what I was looking for (a pale pink, nothing out of the ordinary) to be limited. The polishes were old and most of the ones in my color preference were over half empty and looked way past their prime. I selected a color that was underwhelming, but looked new enough. The actual manicure was fine, nothing spectacular. The salon was nice, quiet and clean. Stars for that. Several nails chipped within 36 hours. Finally, because I booked online and they had my info, I was sent emails and a text asking how they did. It was annoying to be reached out to so much after an appointment. Would not recommend - especially because it was $24 for a mediocre manicure and their polish selection was awful. read more

FACT: There are exactly 1,789,451 nail salons in Los Angeles (probably). The only one I will go to is Bellacures. I've tried Other Places but Other Places don't even come close to Bellacures. Sure, it's a teeny bit pricier than your average $10 wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am Other Place on every corner, but it's so worth it. No germy pedicure spa chairs - just big comfy chairs and a nice sanitary bucket of warm sudsy water. The atmosphere is cute and clean and they have ample colors to choose from in both Essie and OPI lines, and also offer a kid-friendly polish line as well. I always go to the one in Studio City - they have valet parking but I usually find a metered spot on the street. My favorite person there is Kaitlyn but the other technicians are great too. I believe they accommodate walk-ins but I always make an appointment. This is the place to go. read more

I'm a guy, who really doesn't like to go to regular nail salons because I feel as though they are mostly targeted towards women, however when I go to Bellacures, I don't feel this way. The chairs are extremely comfortable and I feel as though I'm getting a pedicure in my living room. All the technicians are super friendly and always make me feel relaxed and comfortable. Even though their prices are slightly higher, i feel as though I get what I pay for here. I leave feeling refreshed and my feet as smooth as a baby bottom. The manager Yanna is extremely friendly, and knows me by my name already, she always makes me coffee and makes sure I'm comfortable during my service. I highly recommend this place! I'm giving this place 3.5 stars with potential for 4 stars. They use new tools every time and the foot bath has a disposable liner which is very important to me. They also offer complimentary valet, which is convenient. However, the floor was filthy. I sat down and there was literally toe nails directly under my feet. Gross! I had to ask them to clean it up and they did:) The chairs are comfortable and their technicians are fine. They do speak to each other in Vietnamese, but I'm used to that and it doesn't bother me. I'll give it another shot and hope it was just a busy day: although I don't think there is any excuse to have toe nails hanging around when customers walk in. This is my go-to nail spot; I'm here at least once a month, if not more often. I love it! It's a beautiful space, the nail technicians are all excellent and very personable, and it's incredibly clean and sanitary (one of my top concerns). I desperately wish it weren't so expensive, so that I could come more often, but otherwise I have no complaints. Booking appointments online is easy (I've never had a problem with it) and they also accept walk-ins, although of course there are key times when it gets busy and there's a wait. Most recently I had gels done for the first time. They looked AMAZING, and they lasted 3 weeks, at which point I got them removed only because my nails grew too long - otherwise, the polish hadn't begun to chip at all. Ive been here twice in the last month and I am sorry to say... it really is worth the cash. Very expensive.. but my manicures last twice as long after they are done here. Im shocked, but its true. Mani, Pedi, and $10 min massage was $55 where I normally pay $40 for that combo. Polish change is only $10 and practically just as good as a mani. Im going to make that my regular thing. Colors are nice... they have halloween candy out which makes me strangely happy, and everyone who works here seems really sweet. Splurge-worthy! read more

The place is clean. My manicures last. You can make appointments online. They are open until 7:30 for those of us who work during the day. Easy parking... free valet sometimes... other times meters on the street. Love the mini mani when I am in a hurry. Good polish choices. Only downside is the upselling of additional services... "No, if I wanted a scrub or a callous treatment, I would have made an apt for one" I wouldn't mind if they were offering it as a special deal.... I have been looking for a new salon that A) does a great job and B) is clean and practicing safe sanitation/regulations for its customers and it's employees due to covid. I've been very selective where I go and could not have been happier. Not only was it the best manicure I've ever had but they took my temperature upon arrival, checked my vaccine card and then required sanitizer before entering. Every customer gets their own new bag of supplies for each treatment. Everyone was spaced out in big, oversized chairs and most in the shop seemed like regulars knowing the ladies and one gentleman I saw. At Bellacures there's enough space for me to stretch my legs out (enough space for the technician to do so also!) I've gotten gel nails several times and have been completely satisfied! My gel manicure would have lasted well over a month, but I didn't want to scare anyone with my cuticles. Alice and Lynn are the BEST. They are friendly, professional and give the best manicures and pedicures, whether you prefer gel or regular polish. Alice gives a great head, neck and shoulder massage too! I really wanted to like this place and was excited to try it based on the yelp reviews. However, I had booked two online appointments and the time was not honored at all, we had to wait over 20 minutes. While my manicure was fine, my teenage daughter's manicure was extremely sloppily done, very fast/quick, and not worth the money paid at all. There were jagged edges and the nail polish didn't cover the entire nail. It was a rush job and we are very disappointed in the cheap experience that wasn't worth the money. Won't be back. read more

I've been coming to Bellacures, Studio City from the day it opened, about 2 years ago. I love it here. Its extremely clean (no stupid massage chairs here). Just comfy little couches and good old tubs that can be fully disinfected. I also love the quite! Everyone keeps their voices down and I am actually able to relax.
