It's 3.5 stars. I went here a few times both mani, pedi, and eyebrow wax. The pedis are good and very relaxing. The mani.........the polish came off after a week! And that NEVER happens to me, at least two weeks. And my cuticles were acting up after just a few days. Whatever they don't make up in skill they make up in color b/c they always have the best, latest colors. I got my brows waxed by Betty and boy was she attention to detail. lol. awesome job. I got a pedicure here because I am familiar (and love) the one in Santa Monica, CA. The service was very personalized and friendly and the pedicure a 10 out of 10! I was here for a mini getaway with a relative searching for a relaxing pedicure. What helped us choose Bellacures was the interior photos. Wrong: if you are looking for a home DIY pedicure this is the place for you. Chairs made you feel sunken in , plastic tubs were brought out with little to less soaking time, and the stool they have you prop your leg on was very uncomfortable. Pedicure was very short and the add ons or additional are not worth it, if you are thinking about it just don't do it. Literally do it at home to save. You aren't even paying for labor to be honest. I had a very sweet employer, I'd suggest she go somewhere else for her talent. She was distracted by her other coworker who kept talking to her and made my pedicure annoying. Also it seems she was giving her pointers or asking her for favors which was also interfering with my time. Monday, seemed slow, employers were sitting on the phones. Receptionist at first impression was rude and had an attitude on the phone prior as well. Ps . No credit card slot for tip, atm was a choice. read more

My first trip to Bellacures was unfortunately not the best. The place is clean and nice; polish selections are great; the front desk attendant was friendly. In fact, everything was great until the service began. I had a gel mani and one of the deluxe pedis. The manicurist haphazardly cut my finger while trimming my cuticles because she was in such a rush. She put a chemical to stop the bleeding that stung pretty badly and ruined the rest of the manicure. She apologized, but did not do anything else to remedy the bad experience, and it didn't get any better from there. The hand massage was not just bad - it was irritating. She did a pretty good job on the polish. The pedicure was only slightly better. The place does not have massage chairs -- they are more like lounge chairs. While the chairs did make it easier to get a "same time" mani/pedi, it was not as relaxing. The bowl of water that they brought went cold after a few minutes, and having to dunk my feet repeatedly into cold soapy water was not exactly a luxurious experience. The technician was friendly and did a good job. As she was finishing though, she dropped the used nail equipment on one of my feet and smeared the polish. She acted upset for having to fix it, which was annoying. Overall the place seemed like a winner when I walked in. I may have just had a bad experience since it was near the end of the day, but the customer service was just not good. read more

I recently moved to the West Village area and have been looking for a trustworthy nail salon. After some research on a lot of nail places in my area I couldn't bring myself to make an appointment at a place that was going to seemingly provide me less quality for a higher price. Not to mention, you never know until you are in the salon in a chair whether it is clean. I found Bellacures by chance and I am so happy I found them! If you are looking for a reasonably priced place for a traditional mani/pedi that puts a large emphasis on cleanliness, this is your place. I've been to a number of nail salons in Dallas, as I like to shop around. I've been to Onyx, I've been to Hawaiian Nail Bar, etc etc... and this place blows them all out of the water. The service was exceptional. The chairs are SO comfortable. The staff is wonderful - nice, prompt, helpful in deciding colors, the list goes on! I felt like a VIP. I went in to get a breast cancer-inspired manicure for my mother. I decided to get Mod About You (gel) on my nails with a simple black ribbon on each ring finger. It turned out perfectly. Despite the fact that I am a gentleman, I have experienced my fair share of hand and feet salons but I can honestly say that Bellacures is by far the best experience I have ever had. Hands down. For starters the environment is top notch--it smells great, it's meticulously clean, has great music, and the chairs are super comfy. The staff is all very very nice and always make a good faith effort to go the extra mile to insure that your experience is as tailored to your particular preferences as possible. If the water isn't the right temperature they will change it on a dime. If you would like a bit more pressure on your massage just ask. If your mimosa is running a bit low they'll top you off before you even have to ask. Their attention to detail is simply unmatched. Most of all Bellacures emphasized good hygiene, which I appreciate. I particularly like the fact that they change out the "pedi bath" with fresh water for ever single client as I would prefer not to soak my feet in some other person's toe jam. haha No, but seriously, that's foul. Fresh water please and thank you. All that to say, these folks are simply the best in the business, and I wouldn't trust my man feet/hands with anyone else! A friend and I decided to try this new salon after seeing a deal on Tidbits for a manicure. I'm so glad we did. The salon is beautifully decorated and the chairs are almost like sitting in your living room. The tools used come from a newly wrapped package and the salon is impeccably clean. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, engaging and helpful. Quality of Service: I received a mani/ pedi and my nails are filed to perfection; it's been quite a while since they've been done to this quality. I'm extremely happy with them! Customer Service: Note: This salon charges $15 for gel nail removal (much higher than other salons in the area) which I wasn't told until after my service had started. However, when I made the comment that I wasn't informed about this extra charge, the staff was very apologetic and even took it off of my bill at checkout. First time in, good. Gel removal and then a regular manicure. No problem. One week later. I come in for a regular manicure. I have torn nail beds on each thumb, don't say anything. Nail tech doesn't acknowledge it either and just paints over it! The next day the dead nail pops back up! Ick! read more

I got the Callus repair Pedi done by Brittney. First Timer. Unsure what to expect but was in for a surprise that I found everything that I have been looking for in a pedicure. I found Bellacures on the Dallas Observer. I had been looking for a place that followed what should be normal health and safety procedures. For so long we as Pedi consumers have ignored the fact that the jets hold bacteria, the tools are mass used, and we pay 150% more than we should regardless of the tool, employee, and product, abuse in most salons. I have been boycotting salons for the previous listed reasons and this is my new testimony thanks to Bellacures. It was my first pedicure since the long winter. I have been maintaining myself and exchanging services with other friends who have also been going through the same moral conflict. After Bellacures the final product looked as though I'm pampered regularly which is what I'm used to. They used smaller versions of all the tools making them non reusable and disposable tools. No cheese grater scrubs!!! Which in my opinion is a huge plus! (the cheese grater does the job and gives immediate results and a temporary fix as it only creates callus resistance on your feet and causes a tenfold reaction that will make you want to continue to get the metal treatment instead of getting rid of the problem). They used disposable pumas' only. *Sigh of relief* All the costumers held smiles and the nail artists were all very welcoming. The entire point of this place is the health standards. They serve your pedicure in a bowl instead of in a bacteria infected jet tub. There are no massage chairs but the environment is relaxing enough that it's not a bother. Bellacure has me as a paying patron! *PRICE FOR PEDI: $30-$75 **Only Cash for tipping which tells me goes straight to the deserving nail artists with no fee's taken out. ***Fresh environment **** Good Choice of Colors for most people. I usually like to bring my own which I did not so that I could experience it fully. (Which Brittney was A-MAZ-ing! I picked out two colors and ruled out my very first pick. This is my first visit to Bellacures. The staff were very friendly and they are meticulous about cleanliness. Thankfully my companion warned me they would charge $15 to remove polish (I never have heard of such a thing) so that bullet was dodged. According to their website they give you the kit they use so you can recycle on your next visit. "Your B-Cleaner Disposable Pouch." No, they do not at Dallas-Preston Center. Unless, of course, it's a subtle "we don't want you back" gesture? The moisture rich pedicure I had was excellent. My legs were rejuvenated and skin oh so soft. I recommend this! The pedicurist was professional and thorough. The manicure, however, was so-so. The man who did my manicure seemed hesitant to do anything unless prompted or approved. He was not so hesitant to make snarky remarks to other staff supposedly (but not) out of earshot of customers. Very immature of him and quite damaging to the business in my opinion. Anyway, my nails had unfinished streaks in them and I could see the nail visibly at the edge of the nailbeds. Not quite the professional job that was expected. Perhaps had he had some lenses in those "designer" frames he was wearing... ? The concept of this salon is great and the fastidiousness about cleanliness is commendable. I do believe some better hiring practices are in order. I'm not sure of any management presence at the time I was there, on an afternoon. You could definitely be edgy and chic without running off your customer base. Would I go back? Sure, but I would definitely state my preferences for staff who provide the services for me next time. read more

I saw all the wonderful reviews and made an appointment to visit the salon. I got a dip manicure and pedicure. The receptionist told me the dip manicure included a massage- funny enough- it did not. It's extremely expensive as well. I got a classic pedicure and they brought a plastic tub of water for the pedicure. I was never offered any beverages and my nails ended up looking "ok" but not great... The overall look of the salon was very bland too. Last item: You have to use an atm in the store to give tips...? This is a nice salon and quite clean. However I have witnessed the receptionists turn away walk-ins saying that there were no appointments available when there were manicurists sitting around doing nothing. I've also called for appointments with a specific manicurist only to be informed by the receptionist that the person wouldn't be available at my requested time. When I took a less convenient time I was told by my manicurist that she was available at the time I wanted, so apparently the receptionist just didn't want to be helpful. The owner should realize that a salon that doesn't accept walk-ins won't be competitive. The customer service starts at the phone call or when a person first walks in and the receptionist is the face and sets the tone of the entire salon. read more
