We have eaten here a number of times. It's our go to spot when we come to the strip district. The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. The inside eating is a little loud, probably due to the relatively low ceilings and glass walls. Anyone above a normal speaking voice gets over amplified. We have always had great service. read more

Popped in for a drink while walking around. The sign outside advertised 44 beers on tap, when in reality, they had 8 when we were there. Was hoping to try some local brews. Not there. Bella Notte was a good lunch time stop. We were struggling to find a place in the area. A lot of places were already closed, but I had read about that trend in this area. We were also in a rush, so we figured pizza would work. I'm going to be super transparent, here about the server here. She was kind of... passive aggressive... Also... dual personality... In the sense that sometimes she was quite rude or short with us and then other times she'd be super sweet with the darlin' this and darlin' that. Overall, the pizza was decent. Only stopped in here once, but it was a pretty poor experience. The inside is definitely in need of some updates. It just felt old and dirty inside. The service was also upper slow. For my food I had bruschetta and two pieces of pizza. The bruschetta was literally just marinara sauce and cheese on a piece of bread. Not actual tomatoes or any flavoring in the tomatoes. So it ended up just being like pizza bites. My pizza was average. The crust was burnt however and the flavors just were not that impressive. On top of that, they serve bad, non-homemade ranch. Bella Notte is by far my favorite restaurant to visit in The Strip District! I have been visiting Bella Notte on sporadic weekends over the past 2+ years (mostly to get my mimosa fix). This past weekend we also decided to order food, and we were not at all disappointed by this decision! The drinks: They have Bloody Mary's, traditional mimosas, and nontraditional mimosas. The nontraditional mimosas are just OK... they are served in a pint glass and have vodka accompanying the champagne. I am more of a traditional mimosa type of girl - I like the bubbly, orange-y combination! As for Bloody Mary's (EW!) the lady next to me said they were delicious! The food: My boyfriend and I decided to split a cheese steak hoagie. The hoagie was YUMMY! The bread was fresh and toasted, the cheese was to die for, and the toppings added to the deliciousness! The only disappointing aspect was the fact that the side was just plain potato chips. I wish they would serve fries or even homemade chips as the side instead! Had a great takeout experience here yesterday. We were biking and had a small bike-basket to carry things and wanted to buy subs to have lunch with our son who lives on the N Shore. Forgive my not getting the spelling of this young man's name but Joony was so nice and helpful in how our 3, 12" subs were packaged so that we could bike with them from the Strip to the N Shore. Above and beyond, thank you! Now the food, we ordered 2 Italian Stallion hoagies and a Chicken Parm hoagie. All were excellent! Okay, this place is AMAZING!! For this place being in such a busy and tourist area, I was expecting just a very mediocre pizza place with no good alcohol drink options. But I was wrong by a long shot. The first thing I noticed is that every staff member we talked to was extremely friendly, almost like we were friends. And our server Jules was such a sweetheart! She helped us with recommendations and was quick to get back to us. I ordered the mango mimosa which was absolutely wonderful. Super refreshing on such a hot day in the strip. We then ordered the white pizza which was delicious! I'm usually not a fan of tomatoes as a pizza topping, but I would totally order this again. I can't wait to come back to this place! read more

Super fun restaurant with patio and outdoor seating right on the Strip! I came with family at about noon on a Tuesday and it was already starting to get busy. For the 5 of us we placed orders for 3 calzones and everyone was filled on less than 1.5. These things are monsters and they come out piping hot and absolutely tasty. I think my favorite was the tomato and fresh basil, but they have a ton of toppings to choose from so you can make it your own. Unless you're starving I would plan on sharing or expecting leftovers. oh my god!!! this place was absolutely amazing!!! as soon as we got there, we were seated inside, it was absolutely perfect, no wait for seating. we also were served water within 2 minutes and then asked if we wanted anything else to drink other than that, which was awesome. after some debating, we chose the chicken bacon ranch pizza. it was the best pizza we ever had, there were three of us and we only left with one piece out of the 12 pieces ! the aesthetic was very nice as well, and very clean! best place I've tried so far in Pittsburgh. read more

I frequent a slice of classic pizza with a side of ranch to go if I'm shopping in the area and my go-to strip restaurant (Little Bangkok, right next door!) is closed. The chicken caesar wrap here is also good. It can get busy, but table turnover seems to be pretty fast so wait times typically aren't longer than 15-20 minutes. read more

Best pizza we've had in the local area. Crust was absolutely perfect: crispy bottom, chewy inside, not too thick, and not too thin. Sauce was pleasant with just the right amount of sweetness - not so flavorful that it competed with the toppings. We stopped by while in the Strip District for lunch. We'd hoped to be seated outside, but that was a very popular idea in mid-August. We ended up in the dining room by the kitchen, so it was a lot of noise. If you're hoping for quiet conversation with your dining partner or family, maybe request a table somewhere else. Also, hearing a server by the kitchen complaining about a large party wanting to split a check was disappointing. The drink special was Rhinegiest Bubbles--a rosé cider--for $3. They were crisp and off dry (as this cider usually is) as well as cold and refreshing. We received them quickly after the ice waters that we'd requested. Our server took our order for a pepperoni, mushroom, and onion pizza promptly. The wait staff was always hustling, which was good to see. Our pizza was out quickly, and our server checked the accuracy and quality of our order within 90 seconds. The pizza crust was crispy and slightly bready, but dry. I'm a crust fan, but the edges weren't a tempting snack--too dry for me. The sauce was a nice middle ground between sweet and spicy--more towards sweet though. The cheese amount was good--not a thick layer like famous Mineo's--but enough to enjoy. Pepperoni are the small ones that curl up. Overall, a 3 star experience. read more

I always enjoy their pizza. It's thick crust and lots of cheese. On my last visit I ordered a Pepperoni to go and sat at the bar while I waited. They have many beer options but not as many liquor options. When the pizza was ready it ended up being cheese but I didn't have anymore time to wait. I would recommend trying their pizza. read more

Pizza is good, not great. IMO it is too cheesy and bready and lacking sauce, although I'm from NJ so I like my crust thin and my pizza saucy. It's a little on the pricy side, cost me $53 for two large two topping pizzas (this could easily feed 5-6 hungry people). All in all it fixed my craving for pizza although isn't my top choice. We basically went here bc everywhere else was closed on a Monday night. I wasn't disappointed just wasn't thrilled either. read more

Stop by this place on our last day in Pittsburgh,it's on the strip district right on the corner. We wanted to have a drink before we headed out to the airport and so glad we stopped by here. It was nothing fancy, a simple restaurant with a bar and a cool vibe. The bartender was amazing. I wish I could remember his name but he was very friendly made some beer recommendations. I remembered coming here long ago when I was a kid, eating in their outside dining area and being in awe at the giant slices of pizza. Today, when I had my daughter out for a day of store exploring on the strip, I decided to bring her for lunch. She too was amazed by the large slices! When we walked in we were promptly greeted by a very polite worker. We were sat outside but due to the bird poop on the table, we moved just inside the door. The inside was rather dark, not much lighting, but there was a decent amount of sunlight coming in from the open doors and windows. We ordered two slices and two iced teas. When they came, I noticed they didn't look as fresh as I was expecting. We arrived not long after they opened for the day so I suspect they may have been left over from the day before. The pizza was stiff and tasted reheated. The crust was hard and a bit burnt. The cheese didn't have any of the melted strings coming off when we bit into them which I expected. However, once we covered them in ranch and parmesan cheese the day old taste was no longer noticeable and it was edible. The bill came to 16.16, which I found to be expensive for two slices and two iced teas. Where we live, outside of the city, prices are less. So that's just Pittsburgh prices I suppose. All in all, I wouldn't make a special trip here to eat but may stop by again if I'm in the area. read more

I'm revising my four star review after having two bad experiences recently with Bella Notte. I still love their food and will likely go back, but I couldn't leave my review as it stood. The first experience was several weeks back on (I believe) a Saturday. My wife and I headed down to grab dinner and were told there was a comedy show scheduled that evening. We'd be required to pay the cover charge despite the show's start time being an hour or more away. It wasn't a two dollar cover either - I want to say it was something like $10 a person. The restaurant was barely full and all we wanted was some tasty pizza - we had no intention of sticking around for the comedy show. Whatever, we left and I dismissed it as a one-off incident - I noticed after the fact that they are horrible with updating any online presence (Facebook, etc.) as I searched for any mention of an event scheduled that night and came up short. The second incident occurred this past week we hurried down after work to try and get pizza again from Bella Notte. Now, we are aware they close at 7p weeknights, but we arrived no later than 6:35-6:40. The hostess made a huge deal of us being there so close to close and initially refused to even seat us. After my wife requested to speak to a manager, the manager must have said to seat us because we were seated. Still, no one was nice about us being there and they clearly didn't want our business or the tips we would surely have left. We ended up leaving a second time without having had any food again. If you're going to Bella Notte during a peak time, you'll probably have a good experience and good food. We never had bad service the many times we've been there in the past, but they need to change some things and FAST. Closing at 7p doesn't mean you stop seating guests at 6:30p. Scheduling a closed event (yes, I consider a cover charge at a restaurant basically the same thing) without advertising it anywhere on the internet is also unacceptable in 2019! We may be back, but not until these two experience are long gone from our memories... read more

Come for the Bloody Mary stay for the pizza. When stomping around the Strip on a Sunday afternoon it's great to turn it into a Sunday Funday with a Bloody and slice here. The Bloody Mary has just the right amount of spice and it always hits the spot. Pizza has a nice crust that's never over cooked. It does get pretty busy but service is always fast. read more
