I can honestly say this was the absolute worst nail experience I've ever had -- the photo attached says it all. First, I walked in and the receptionist was rude, talking on the phone the whole time and just "pointing" to where I needed to go/what I needed to do. She almost seemed annoyed that I was there. Then, they charge $80 for a mani/pedi... insane! But the worst part was the service and the lack of attention they give you as a customer. They are chatting with one another the whole time, to the point where it is rude. I really enjoy this Salon. It's very clean and the staff has always been super friendly. I will say that I only get normal manicures and pedicures, so I can't speak on dips or acrylic nails. I often pay a little extra for a longer foot massage and its worth every penny. The only qualm I have is that I wish they would offer beverages. I have never been offered so much as water while being there, but other then that I think they are great! read more

This is a very clean salon with great people who do nails. I do powder dip normally for manicures and shellac pedicures and have for the most part, received excellent service and quality. Only once did the powder not last very long and wasn't as good (which is the only reason for this not being a 5 star review). I am extremely disappointed in Bella's. I have been coming to Bella's on and off for the last 5 years. My parents live in San Mateo, so as a nice treat I take my mom out for a pedicure. Today, we came into the salon per usual for a pedicure. The second we sat down the staff could not have been more rude. They didn't offer us any water or champagne as they did to the women next to us. They spoke ill of my mom as she is a bigger women and had a hard time getting in the chair & lastly, we paid $34 for a basic pedicure that took them 15 minutes. I have never been so rushed in a salon. I hate to say ever since the owner is not as present as once before, the salon has gone down hill and we will not be returning. read more

While my pedicure turned out cute, what wasn't cute was the nail fungus that I was infected with causing both my big toenails to fall off. After a trip to a podiatrist for diagnosis and expensive fungus medication I'm starting my slow road to recovery. Move on to the next salon on the list. It's not worth trying this salon. I have gone to Bella a few times and every time is extremely disappointing, more so then the last. I got a pedicure that took less then 30 minutes and had a 2 hour acrylic fill with multiple issues. It's been less then a week and most of them are lifting and it's actually the worst set I've ever had. If I could give 0 stars I would. The main issues: - uneven shape, not flat across the top, had to ask multiple times for shape to be fixed, none of them were even to the other hand or nails, all different lengths -cut the my acrylics down with a nail clipper instead of filing (never seen them trimmed this way) - drilled my nails with the tip of the drill instead of the side which created many divots and valleys, ground them almost all the way down - only filled the very bottom of my nails which was an extreme issue given the divots all over from the pointed tip drilling, and now they're all lifting - didn't fill the corners completely and was going to leave a whole chunk missing before I pointed it out - Edges are lifting on multiple nails less then a week later - Uneven polish due to the many divots - Filed the edges while polish was wet, leaving dust and then PAINTED OVER the dust, then had to sand down the polish and start over again because of multiple bubbles (which obviously will occur when you paint over dust) -30 min pedicure was a "gentle foot rub", no actual callus removal or helping remove/trim or do anything substantial - painting took about 5 min and I'd be shocked if she even did 2 coats and a top coat. Pretty sure it was only one and no top coat even though I asked her I'm not sure if it is a lack of experience with acrylic nails, but I've been getting mine done for 20 years and have never seen someone use any of these poor techniques. I've never had a fill take 2 hrs and especially never had this poor of an outcome. Spending $100 on a 30 min pedicure and the most awful acrylic fill I've ever had was pretty sad. I know others who seem to have certain people that they like going to and have better results, but doesn't seem like acrylics are their thing. I did ask for a different nail tech to start and they had me go to someone else for time even though I had a specific appointment (which seems to be their thing). I wish I would've stuck with my gut and said no. read more

Don't let the facade fool you, a truly nice salon would treat their customers with respect and cater to them- this place does not do that. There was a TON of inconsistency between manicurists. No one offered my mom or I drinks. Everyone around us was offered drinks, but not us. Then my girl put a lavender thing on my shoulders, but my mom didn't get one. When I was getting my nails done, the girl said "Hi, I'm Ivy". I introduced myself and then there was no more conversation because she clearly didn't understand me. Than she finished my nails and said "Hi, I'm Ivy", and I said, "I know, you told me your name was Ivy when you started my manicure, remember?" and she said, "I know, but I want you to know for my tip."......really?!?! Finally, upon checking out, the reception handed me envelopes with the girls' names prewritten on them. I found that extremely rude. I feel a business should never assume they're going to get a tip. They should ask their customer if they'd like to leave a tip. While this place is clean, new, and has a nice appearance, I'm sure I could get a better mani/pedi with a more fair price and nicer service somewhere else. read more

Bella is definitely a solid spot. However, I'm rating two stars. During this last visit, my friend and I took about five minutes to choose our nail colors; we were approached by three different staff members to get us to hurry the F up (since Bella was expecting a party). The owner, Vivian, finally came along to really push us. I explained that my friend was getting married the next day, which is why we were taking extra time to choose polish colors. Regardless, I pay $45 for mani/pedi ($55 for french) so that I can get my massage on in the fancy chair, with a controller that I can't figure out, as nice women in Seven For All Mankind A-Pocket jeans manicure my hands and feet. And I don't want to be rushed. If I didn't care, I would go to Salon-de-My-House for some DIY* nails. But on this day, and for my friend, I cared. To be fair, the manicures, most of Bella's staff and the atmosphere are wonderful. Bella said they were booked, but to try their Belmont store. Lazy Saturday - I'm not driving to Belmont. After calling a few other places I call back to Bella and beg for an appointment. They tell me to come on. Thuy was fabulous! The poor woman hadn't had lunch, but still gave me a delightful pedicure. She was a bit disheartened when she found out I wanted a manicure too, but she still did a terrific job on my hands. Oh, did I mention the lovely flowers that Thuy painted on my toes? Bella Nails was one of the stops on a fun-filled Birthday/Bachelorette party for my daughter. We had a large group of 14 people and Vivian couldn't have been more accommodating! She assured us that she would have enough staff for the our visit, and she did. She let us set up food, drinks and decorations in the back room to surprise my daughter. My daughter got the Milk and Honey Glow and said it was the most luxurious treatment she has every had. Everyone of her friends loved their mani's and pedi's. Honestly, was very disappointed in this location. The nail techs gave the impression that they wanted to do the BARE MINIMUM. Mom and I came in thinking that it was going to live up to the Bella Nails standard and we were wrong. Won't be coming back here. My manicure was not even the shape I asked for.. I asked for almond and she gave me squared nails. Mom had ingrown toe nails and her nail tech also did the minimum in removing the ingrown part, couldn't even walk the next day really. read more

I had just stopped off at my bank and deposited a check, and was in DESPERATE need of a pedicure. I spotted the "Bella Nails" sign and decided to give them a try. Upon entering I was blown away! The place was immaculately clean, and I couldn't even smell polish or acetone. The desks for manicures were a beautiful dark wood, and the pedicure chairs looked brand spankin' new! I thought to myself "Yea, they're gonna charge me an arm and a leg.." To my surprise, a mani/pedi was only $45, which is pricey for a standard salon, but cheap for a ritzy place like this. "Sign me up!" When led over to the pedicure chair, the first thing they ask you is what you would like to drink. They offer hot or cold tea, which tastes amazing! Or water, of course. Then they bring you this hot pack that rests on your shoulders and behind the back of your neck. You are instantly transported to a state of complete relaxation. All of the tools are in sealed sterile bags, and even the scrub pad was brand new. For the massage, the lady retreats to the back and returns with a little tray of nicely warmed lotion. The lady took her time on the massage portion, making sure that I enjoyed every second of my experience. Then, they wrapped my feet in a nice hot towel...*Ahhhh!* I would also like to point out that while all the products used were pleasantly scented, no scent was over powering. This place gets two stars - one for each time I came in - and only because it's a really beautiful establishment and I was able to get an appointment without any hassles. My first time here I came in (on my birthday) wanting a simple gel French manicure with gold tips. So I sat down and told the girl what I wanted and she said, "We don't have gold." You don't??... I even told her it didn't have to be gel, that it could be regular polish to which she responded, "No gold." Okayyy...well, I guess I'll go plain French manicure then. "I'll give you pink glitter." "No, thank you. Just a plain French manicure is fine." "You no want pink glitter?" No. Ma'am I'm in ALL black, do I look like I wear pink? Again, I politely asked for the FM. I got clear French manicure pink with glitter. Cool, thanks... Second visit; I thought "I'll pick something they'll definitely have." For my upcoming Disneyland trip. So when the girl asks me what I want, I say, "I want a black tip manicure and a diamond accent nail, please?" "You want diamond?" "Yes, on these nails *pointing to my ring fingers*" "You don't want diamond." (I don't?) "It fall off. Look like you have fungus. I do glitter." What the F#%? is it with this place and glitter?! I said, "So..you don't have diamonds?" And she told me she'll do glitter. Thanks for completely disregarding my question/request. Meanwhile, the woman on the other side of me asks for gold in her nails. Lo and fu&$ing behold, guess what?! THEY HAVE GOLD POLISH! So, either I was lied to or in the last month and a half they acquired gold.. The fact that TWO different people didn't listen to what I wanted, and instead preferred to do (literally) the bare minimum is upsetting - especially for the area and the clientele they assist. I'm never coming back here. Oh, and I forgot to mention. The black tips bled into the clear polish,they aren't even straight/the same size, and the polish doesn't even cover the entire nail. Thank you for two half-a$$ed jobs, but that doesn't equal one great or even good job. Nail salons that are actually open are hard to come by these days so myself and 2 friends drove out here to get mani pedis and they did not disappoint. Very pretty and clean salon with lots of different add on options. They took temps, made us wash hands upon arrival, had plastic partitions and wore masks so they were definitely doing their part to keep things up to code with all the new regulations. Terrible. Had a "coconut cream" pedicure here for $45. The coconut cream is actually a baby oil (a least that's what it smells and feels like), the 20 min massage was lackluster like barely touching, definitely not massaging. She barely pummaced the bottoms, I had to ask her to keep going, she rolled her eyes and kept going for about 5 more seconds, the bottoms of my feet feel like I never got a pedicure. I asked for pummace when I left so I could go home and do it myself after paying $45. Polish inconsistent and uneven. I won't go back. $45!!!! I used to like this place. read more

I have been on the hunt for a good nail salon since I moved to the Bay Area three years ago, and haven't been able to find anything I was that fond of until now! This place was great. First, I have to admit that I showed up late to my appointment. I got tied up in a meeting, but the people were so nice and took me anyway. They are super duper clean and even give you the files and such that they use on you. The staff is friendly and nice, and don't talk back and forth to each other the whole time. The prices were well worth the experience! I live in the south bay but will drive up here just to get my nails done! I am so appreciative of my coworker who told me about this place. Without it my world would be a lot less colorful, or at least my nails would be. Five stars to you Bella Nails! read more

Let me set it straight for a second: Vivian the owner is amazing; she knows all the regulars and does her best to make sure everyone is enjoying their experience. Unfortunately, there a serious condescending attitude among multiple employees, especially one of the front desk girls. They're always packed which would be a good sign if they actually knew how to manage their appointment times correctly, instead of starting a manicure scheduled for 3:00, you start at 3:15/3:20. I used to be a regular here but after having my appointments pushed back multiple times because "I get that they are busy right?" And they "appreciated how understanding I always (was)" I was done. You pay so much for (in their defense) a good job, but the experience itself is enough to ruin the trip. read more

I have to say that I am very disappointed with Bella Nails. I used to come here and the service was impeccable and they did a good job but I had a very poor experience last Friday. First they were very short staffed so it was a lot of waiting before they got started which was not bad but it doesn't feel good when you're at a nail salon when you have to flag someone down to get what you need. Most importantly the work was very bad. I had the First Lady who was cutting cuticles but they were incomplete- so they moved me to a nail table and a new lady took care of my nails but the I wasn't happy with the finished work at all. It looked like I did my nails at home. Also out of their four nail driers only two worked and my friend and I had to move without finishing for others which I was okay with but it really shouldn't be that way. Used to come here regularly and never had any problems. Recently made an appointment on Saturday afternoon for a Sunday afternoon for pedicures. No problem. Arrived and were attended to right away. Had to wait a few minutes for 2 chairs together. As soon as we were seated the spa waters were turned on and I soaked while I waited a few minutes for my pedicurist. Peter did a nice trim job, great foot and leg massage and my pedicure with flower art looked great. Jenny did a great job trimming my daughters toenails and painting them, including a flower with a silver sparkle center that my daughter loved. Large establishment with plenty of chairs to accommodate groups. It can get crowded. So call ahead and/or make an appointment. read more

Worse experience ever! I came to Bella Nails today because my usual lady at a different nail salon was out of town and I regret not waiting for her. I walked into Bella Nails and it took them about a good 5 Minutes to even notice me, even though I had an appointment. Then when I was finally seated, the lady who was doing my nails was so distracted, looking around all over the place. I tried making conversation and I was giving cold response or nothing. I had to point out to her several time that my nails were not even. Once I get home, my gel nail polish starts to peel! Never again! $40 dollars down the drain, now trying to find another salon to fix their mistakes before I leave town in a couple hours! read more

I'm pretty surprised Bella Nails doesn't have 5 stars. I came here once to get a gel pedicure, my first since before the pandemic, and my toes really needed it and were so bad. The lady spent so much time making them look nice and did a fantastic job! The massage was amazing! The colors were beautiful. And the gel lasts for a while. The ladies were all so friendly and sweet. And the salon was super clean and sells face shields and candles too. It was also a fancier salon. It is very pandemic safe with glass, masks, temperature checks, gloves, etc. I found my new go to spot! read more
