Pass on this one. Yes I know this place looks cute. Yes I know there aren't many choices in Burns but go to somewhere else. The staff however were the rudest I've experienced in a looooong time. The young lady who took our order actually rolled her eyes when I asked if there were any gf options. She clearly hates her job and every customer that walks in. She made my coffee and it was good but when I asked for a napkin she scooted one toward me, like it was a huge inconvenience for her. Btw we were the only ones in the restaurant. This place seems really great with all the reviews that I saw. Drove up excited to taste some great coffee. Didn't even know they actually sell food but I didn't get any. Started to order just two large mochas on ice because of a long drive. Got my drink expecting a mocha taste but it just straight up tasted like chocolate milk! Started thinking, "is there even espresso in this drink?". Got up to ask the ladies at the counter to find out, they don't even put espresso in their mocha. It's made with chocolate milk and just 3 ounces of cold brew -_- . Then I had to pay for actual espresso shots SEPARATELY. In total I spent $16 just for two not even made right mochas. It's was so high because i tipped. The worst part is that when I paid the extra for the 4 shots of espresso, they didn't even make them until 10 minutes went by after I had to ask them about it. read more

Do not know why everyone's hating on this. I eat this stuff every Saturday and it is rather good. I have my study group here. We study all kinds of stuff. We study our future jobs. It's really good and the service is always amazing and it's only like 10 minutes for a few to get there which is amazing! I love it amazing place. Totally recommend it read more

Thanks to my Yelp friend Jim B's review, my husband and I had Bella Java on our radar on a drive between Boise and Bend. We're glad we stopped . We recommend it for a quick bite on the road. These are folks working very hard to run a mom and pop restaurant in a small town. They are open six days a week which must be exhausting since I imagine the owner(s) are there all the time. VIBE: Pride of ownership shows throughout in doing their best to maintain and make cozy the old space. Sparkling clean. The sound system was playing country western selections that were of the '60's era on the day of our visit. FOOD: We thought this might allow us to do a grab and go deli sandiwch or take out but they really aren't set up for that as much as eat in. Or at least that was so on the day of our visit. For my vegetarian friends I'll poiint out many of the items here are meat centric. We're not vegetarian but lean that way particularly on road trips and the options were limited. If you eat meat, in particular beef and poultry you'll be good to go. The cheese and veggie sandwich we shared was good enough and big enough for two light eaters. There were no fresh bakery products the day we popped in but a couple of day old options. I can't say whether the java is bella because although I ordered an Americano when we placed our lunch order, I am still waitiing on it to arrive as I write this review. And it wasn't for the lack of my asking - twice - when it might be ready. SERVICE; The young woman who waited on us was cordial but seemed a confused as we asked quesionts about items on the menu. Also while only a handful of people were inside, service was very slow. That's not a criticism but a comment to help you plan your stop here. It took longer than we expected. VALUE: So inexpensive it is difficult to believe they can make money. We kept that in mind to provide extra in the tip. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: On street. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Technically level in but there is a gap, maybe 3" or more, of "chewed up" floor inside the front door which could be tough for wheelchair users to traverse. Once in it is all on one floor. Loo is accessible for space but no grab bars for function for folks who use wheelchairs. read more

The older lady at the counter had a horrible attitude and didn't make me feel welcomed and the food was overall average. Not worth the $30 I spent. read more

I stayed in Burns for three days on a road trip, and was so happy to find this gem. The drip coffee was delicious, bottomless, and served in a hefty ceramic mug--as a barista myself, I know that if the drip is awesome; everything else is bound to be too. Also had a delicious breakfast sandwich which was made to order and served nice and toasty. Prices were great, employees were all lovely, and the wifi worked great. I enjoyed a pleasant few hours there doing some work and reading a book. Tables were spaced out nicely and the shop itself is nice and roomy. I'm from Seattle so this place isn't in my neck of the woods, but when I'm around again, Bella Java will be worth the detour! read more

We stopped here during our stay in at crystal crane hot springs. My husband had the Espresso breakfast sandwich and I had the breakfast burrito which were both tasty. Their coffee and herbal tea was also amazing. The customer service was great, our server was very friendly and sweet. We would definitely recommend this place. read more

We stopped in on our way through Burns. I always love when I can find a local coffee shop to caffeinated my day rather than a run of the mill chain. This little shop didn't disappoint. I ordered a simple almond milk latte. It wass hot and tasty and done quickly. Perfect for continuing a road trip. We didn't order any food but the sweets they had out looked tasty and the menu Includes quiche (can rarely pass that up) and many salads. I'm not sure when or if I'll be through Burns again, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to revisit and sit for a a few minutes. read more

BEWARE! My husband and I stopped in for some lunch and left quite disappointed The potato soup I ordered was not at all fresh.Soured actually! I understand that groceries are highly priced but this was ridiculous The sandwiches are 13 dollars with no side Another 3 dollars for fries to come with it As I look down there are ants on the floor and it looked as thought the floor had not been mopped for some time There were plenty of girls working but all just talking to each other Nobody asked if we needed anything or checked on us at all Very poor customer service When I let one of the girls know about the ants, she basically couldn't have cared less YUCK! I have frequented Bella Java for years, and almost every time I walk away disappointed. Today was no exception. I went to lunch with my friend, the employees know us by name. We both ordered a chicken chipotle salad. Now, it was delicious, however, when I pay $12.00 for a salad I really do expect more then 7 little one inch chunks of chicken. The salad was tiny...would have fit in a small to go container. I love supporting our local businesses, but, when you spend your hard earned money on lunch it would be nice if the amount of food you got was equivalent to the money you paid. read more

On the recommendation of an out of town guest from back East I visited the local coffee shop this morning for the first time since I've been in Burns. It is a quaint place that feels like home. My breakfast sandwich was hot and tasty. I can't comment on the coffee as I don't drink it but it must be good as my friend showed up on my door step with a large to go cup. For a little shop on a corner the menu for breakfast and lunch is just fine it's not Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts and that's what makes it just fine for me. read more

Finding good coffee in the hinterlands can be a challenge. We were lucky enough to stumble across Bella Java on trip to Pocatello. Located at the corner of Broadway and Adams, the Bella is a comfortable, laid back mom and pop operation. Service is friendly if a bit slow (not a criticism, just a point to consider). The espresso was very good and prices are reasonable. Didn't order any food so we can't comment on that. All in all, the Bella is a great find, and definitely on our list to return next time we're in the Burns area. read more

Last piece of old barely bearable quiche evidently heated in a microwave, a Cobb Salad that felt unfresh with dressing that was mostly just blue cheese, and service from a young gentleman who wasn't quite sure about any of the items on the menu.
