This place has fantastic food, beautiful set up, and amazing service! Great take out service too!

We were passing through town looking for a good lunch spot. After looking on Yelp, we found this place and hit the "directions" button. When we arrived there were no markings or signage on the exterior of the building, which made it a little hard to find or to be sure that we were in the right place. We decided to investigate anyway. Sure enough, it was there. The exterior and interior of the building were very well done. Inside was cute, clean, with a cozy atmosphere. Also, the temperature was perfect. We approached the counter where you order and briefly looked over the menus before settling on our order and putting our menus down. It was an uncomfortable 3 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the tatted gentleman behind the counter. Seemingly disinterested, he took our orders. We then found a nice table and sat down. After a reasonable amount of time our food was brought out. The Philly and chips (according to my companion) were great. The Mediterranean salad (according to my companion) was greatly overdressed, but other than that was crisp and fresh. My Korean wrap was good, however it was light on meat and packed full of rice, which I don't care for. Also rice was not mentioned in the ingredients list on the menu. If it were, I would have not ordered that item. In addition to that, the wrap was saturated with creamy siracha sauce. Which was a shame because other than that, the mentioned ingredients seemed to have good flavor potential. We ate our meals, and before leaving I stacked our plates and tiddied up our table. A female employee noticed this and made a kind remark, thanking me for doing this. It was a pleasant exchange and I was appreciative to have her positivity before we left. I wanted to love this place. and I think with a few tweaks, this place could really rock it. read more

What an incredible find. It's a counter service but they bring food out to you. I ordered and then waited a bit while a small rush of folks came in. I appreciated the time to savor the coffee. My pancakes arrived and they were so good. Who would have thought of bacon strips IN the pancakes which could then hold up to dipping? It was nice to watch Main Street life go by and the ambiance was modern but relaxed. I'll definitely stop by if I'm in these parts again. read more

Such a cute bistro-type place where you order at the counter. I asked for coffee with a couple parts of butter to float on it (try it!), and a breakfast burrito in a bowl. It was all very delicious. But the star of my experience was a nice lady who made me feel cared about. TY. read more

Nice people, espresso (in a real mug if you're not in a hurry), simply delicious food, and inviting atmosphere. Large windows, fireplace, bar and table seating. Breakfast burritos best I've had - filled w lotta egg & a few fixings, outside grilled to perfection and sliced into half (each a handful). Silverware wrapped in napkin with "thank you!" sticker...a lovely morning all around. read more

Great coffee and excellent service! I first experienced Fresh Start when I was staying at the Central Hotel next door. After I moved to the Burns area this has become my go-to spot for Saturday breakfast before running errands in town. The staff is friendly and they always have freshly brewed coffee available to keep you going. The menu offers a variety of breakfast (and lunch) options at reasonable prices. The renovated space is very inviting - complete with a massive stove to keep you warm in the winter. Open Monday through Saturday it's a great place to take a break and just relax. read more

WOW!! This was an incredible stop and a fantastic addition to Burns! We stopped in our way home (Bend) for a coffee and snack. The cappuccino was perfect and an actual cappuccino (not a latte as so many people make). We also had a breakfast panini and burrito. All made fresh and were delicious! Very impressed with this little cafe in every way. Food was fantastic and the service was even better. Staff was very nice and went out of their way to make a special tea brew for me. I had the warmed up raspberry pastry and it was all I could do to not buy up and eat every last one of them. I swear it was baked from scratch and was absolutely delightful. Great atmosphere and great wi-fi. They also gave me a sample of a turmeric latte that was like a warm hug on a fall morning.
