I feel lucky that I was able choose/book Mariane to be my wedding florist during my wedding…read moreplanning phase. She was the only vendor that was quick to respond to all my email inquiries and did not cause me any stress. She was definitely affordable and her flower arrangements look gorgeous on her IG. I was able to work with her for a short bit on what kind of color palette and flowers/styles I wanted on my wedding day. Due to some unfortunate personal events, I had to cancel my wedding along with my vendors. If you book wedding vendors then you know what that means... When I reached out to Mariane to inform her out of courtesy, I was met with her kindness which I was not expecting at all but very much appreciated. She really knows how to operate a business and provide great customer service. Communication was still an ease and she kept her promise! I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a wedding florist. I also hope to have the opportunity to work with her again in the future. Thank you again Mariane!

AVOID -- extremely unprofessional and a serious lack of communication. One of the worst vendors you…read morecould choose to work with. I've attached all of the emails so people can see the full timeline and judge for themselves. We initially reached out through their website on March 9 for a quote on 6 table florals while my planner and I were still in the very early stages of planning. At that point, we were very clear that we did not yet know the final quantity or full setup because we were still waiting for our planner to send us the layout for the event. Mariana responded with a quote and even called us the next day (March 10). During that call I made it very clear that we were still figuring things out and expected to have a better idea early the following week once my planner finalized the layout. Many of our vendors are coming from the city and offered to pick up the florals along the way since the florist is located in San Jose and our event is in Morgan Hill. The only reason we even considered this vendor in the first place was because of the convenience of the location. However, we were quoted $299 just for a delivery fee from San Jose to Morgan Hill, which felt excessive. Florists from San Francisco were quoting around $150 for delivery, which honestly seemed much more reasonable. I called again on March 11 to understand how pickup would work and how the florals would be packaged so I could explain it to the vendors who offered to transport them. She strongly pushed for delivery instead. At that point we figured fine--let's just pay the travel fee to make things less stressful. Around 2:30 PM on March 11 I asked her to send her Venmo so we could move forward with the deposit once I confirmed the details with my planner. Less than 24 hours later, she started sending multiple emails pressuring us for payment. At no point did she communicate that there were other inquiries or any urgency about availability. I didn't even see the emails until the morning of March 12. We have two small infants at home, so as you can imagine our days are busy and chaotic. I also still hadn't heard back from my planner about the layout or whether we needed more florals, or if pickup was the better option. I purposely wanted to wait until those details were confirmed before sending a deposit -- flowers are expensive, and we wanted to make sure everything was finalized. For the past two days we felt nonstop pressure from this vendor to send payment immediately -- even though key details about quantities, setup, and flower availability were still unclear. Meanwhile, none of the other vendors we're working with for this event have behaved this way. Every single one of them has been patient and professional, understanding that planning takes coordination between multiple people. What made this even more concerning is that she herself wasn't even sure if she could secure the specific flowers we wanted. That alone made us nervous. Imagine feeling pressured to send a non-refundable $800 deposit when the florist hasn't even confirmed if the flowers you want are available. When we didn't rush to send the payment within her unrealistic timeline, she suddenly became "unavailable." The timing of that was very telling. Planning an event requires trust, clear communication, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed the complete opposite. If a vendor is this pushy before you've even finalized details, imagine how stressful it would be once money is already paid and you're locked in. In hindsight, we truly feel like we dodged a bullet here.

He made really good recommendations (ex: we contemplated having an arch for our ceremony, and he suggested we do two pillars with flowers instead--it looked wonderful, and the flowers were reused for our reception). We kept things simple--colorful flowers, center pieces in wine boxes, etc., and Hector made it look beautiful. I was adamant that chrysanthemums and carnations be focal points of the arrangements and bouquets (sentimental value), and he incorporated both tastefully and beautifully. I highly recommend Hector for your wedding flower needs. I consider myself a pretty low key bride, and I was pretty hands off about the flowers, aside from telling him my vision and sending a few photos. The flowers were a complete surprise to me on the day of the wedding, and I loved them. Hector sometimes takes a little bit of time to get back to you (for you brides who want an answer, like, yesterday about things), but overall my experience with him was wonderful.

When I purchased flowers then, I was disappointed, so I called them to arrange another bouquet, explained what happened, and they made my bouquet PERFECT. They definitely made me feel like I was getting what I paid for. I returned earlier this year to buy a bouquet for $115, with 15% off for following them on social media. You would think $100 would get you a nice, large bouquet, but it didn't meet my expectations for that price. Yet again, I came back to buy two dozen roses for $200. I showed them inspiration photos, but the bouquet looked nothing like what I requested. I paid extra for fillers and greens, but it was still disappointing and didn't feel extravagant, especially for $200. What disappointed me the most was that when I picked up the flowers, they hadn't even removed the thorns from the roses. If I'm paying that much money, shouldn't the thorns be removed? Sorry, but you've lost a customer--I won't be returning. Overpriced and underdelivered. If the presentation had been on point, I could accept the price, but it wasn't. Side note: The people who work here are nice, but the quality of the work is subpar.
