Hi-ya! So we've…read morealways enjoyed hot milk tea. Which is just tea with a little milk and honey/ sugar. Apparently this place had a drink that was similar, called the London Fog. It was so good when you add a little sweetener and their iced matcha was perfect on the warmer day we had it. So well balanced and tasty. The kids had a butter croissant, quiche, and we shared a panini. All were pretty darn good, and the place had a great casual vibe that didn't feel rushed, too busy or cramped. We had drinks here on several days to avoid the sbux (which we love, but wanted something more local feeling). Just a great cafe and service was good, and so was the atmosphere. Clean, lively, and fast service.

I love their fig cookies. They are always fresh and delicious. The menu is on a higher price end now, but quality is still good to try sometimes. However service is not good at this location. Girls were rude and not willing to help in friendly manner. Plus our cappuccino was almost cold. The cost is already higher end and if you don't tip 20% or more the girls make faces and don't even respond after that. Not many seats to sit so it's a take away mostly so 20% and above tip doesn't justify specially with that kind of bad service. Will I be there again? Yes just for the fig cookies. Will get coffee somewhere else.

While I can't say for certain what caused it, this was the only thing I had eaten or drunk around that time that seemed out of the ordinary, pretty sure the milk or half and half was expired, the guy that had served us was also weird and had attitude towards us. On top of that, the service wasn't particularly memorable, and the overall experience left me feeling uneasy about returning. Food safety and freshness are important, and after what happened, I don't feel comfortable coming back. Hopefully the management pays closer attention to ingredient quality and preparation practices.

Ambiance: was peaceful in the garden house Service: we made a reservation as recommended and got there early, but they were able to seat us early. Very intentional service and fresh produce offerings. We unfortunately never made it to breakfast and didn't have reservations, so we never dined in. The matcha was good; we ended up picking up some again before ending our trip. I recommend adding the kinako topping.

The coffee quality is really good, but my favorite part is that their flavored lattes aren't overly sweet. The flavors are subtle and really well balanced. I'm especially obsessed with the rose cardamom latte (yes I got this every single time lol) it's not overly floral and has just the right amount of cardamom and sweetness. And the pastries are EPIC. I tried the blueberry cream cheese pastry, chocolate & oat croissant, and coconut pineapple croissant, and honestly I can't pick a favorite. They were all so so good! This location had easy parking and plenty of seating. The downtown location can be a little trickier/paid (I paid around $2.50 for 30 minutes), just FYI. Friendly staff, great coffee, amazing pastries. Definitely my go-to whenever I'm back in Canmore!
