Was in the car business for a good minute and it is so hard to find a mechanic you can trust and I'm glad I did at Broadway Auto Parts. Partner and I have taken our vehicles (both old and new) there and it's always a pleasant experience. Their service is always top notch, their prices are so reasonable and the communication is always great. Seriously, good people should have your business and this place is filled with good people.

Found them to be honest and prices were great. Will be my go-to in the future.

They're cheaper than any other place in Pittsburgh, even other locally owned small shops. Yet their quality of service is top notch. I wasn't sure what sort of services I needed, but I brought my car in and they were able to check it out and give me advice totally free of charge. I never felt pressured or rushed into doing something I wasn't ready to do. I looked into other places to make sure I was getting the best deal, and that was totally unnecessary because Lifetime Automotive already had my back. They're good at what they do, they work quickly, and they make your happiness their priority. I won't bring my car anywhere else!

They charged me $115 for an oil change. I used to pay $65 in LA where I just moved from. I tried to ask why it was so expensive and he blamed it on high oil prices. I called 3 nearby mechanics who quoted me $50-$80. My guess is they saw my California plates and decided to rip me off. They also said it would take an hour and a half and took 4.5 hours. I would absolutely not recommend this place.

Three days later I get a call that it was ready. I have no clue what they did. When I arrived to pick it up I was told it had to go to the dealership because protech couldn't fix it. As the other reviewer said, they are very knowledgeable here and were fair and honest. The best part though was it felt like they went above and beyond in doing the actual work! Basically if you go to like Jiffy Lube etc they'll do a basic oil change for a cheap price, but at Apex for a reasonable (slightly higher but I'm telling you it's reasonable/worth it) they actually check all your fluids and tighten everything that needs tightened, my car feels 100 times better than before they worked on it. I'll be coming back to them next month for an inspection and pretty much anything I'll need done from now on. Good guys who really know what they're doing. And quick, too! Highly recommended if you're anywhere near the area.

Listen, I am not a car coniosarre and this place is convenient to where I live and is usually fast to get in. It takes a couple days if it's a minor fix because they have to order parts. I'm not sure if some larger mechanics have parts on hand or can get them faster. It is annoying being without a car for a couple days. It seems that every year I have to replace my tires during my inspection. Is this a coop? Again, I don't know. I have a 2014 Juke (my little baby Pepper) and nothing else has had to be replaced during the inspections other than that and breaks, so I don't THINK they are taking advantage of me. They are NOT a body shop either, so if you need major work done or are in a large accident, they probably can't fix your car. Weird quirk to know, they use a payphone for their regular phone. It's so weird, but if you call and get a busy signal, that is why.

That has changed now thanks to the guys at KG Autoworks. They worked her into their very busy schedule while she was on vacation. They did the inspection quickly and called her to let her know it would pass but they found something that she should fix soon. We knew it needed rear brakes and rotors, an oil change and the liftback hydrolic struts replaced. Since they had it overnight anyway we had them fix the CV axle too. They didn't give a long list of things to fix or try and scare her into fixing the CV axle right away. They were honest, fair on pricing and worked quickly. They did a good job and we are very pleased. We will be return customers. We highly recommend KG Autoworks, especially for women. That recommendation for women is because we aren't always treated with respect and honesty elsewhere. It has nothing to do with the fact that the mechanics are hotties. ;)

I had a mixed experience at Bastone's, where I went (on an old family friend's recommendation) to…read moreget a wheel arch repaired. The positives were that they were able to get me in very quick and were, overall, friendly and professional. I do think they know what they are doing. The major negative was that the final price came out nearly twice the original quote: close to $600 instead of the original $320. This was, I was told, because an additional part had to be sourced and installed. While I was already disappointed in this unexpected cost doubling, the icing on the cake was that I wasn't asked if I wanted to proceed with the repair. I was just informed that the cost had jumped, that the repair was complete, and that I now needed to pay up. This suggested to me that the original assessment of the damage had not been as thorough as it could have been. While a quote is an estimate, not a certainty, it's not good practice for businesses that run on quotes to let customers pay twice what they were originally expecting. In this situation, for instance, I would have appreciated a discount on the unexpected new part. That might have eaten into their profit margin, but it would have guaranteed that I would become a return customer, whereas now, I am not so sure.
