I am writing a review of Hometown Trailer Sales & Service in Butler, PA, highlighting the…read moreexceptional wheel bearing service and customer support that I experienced recently from Jamie & Bruce with the organization. My wife and I recently traveled for 10 mouths out west and back so I wanted to have the wheel bearings repacked, I had talked with several trailer service companies and mobile RV techs while on our journey and received estimates of $300-400 to service four wheels. Hometown Trailer Sales completed the job out the door for $150 and that included new seals, shop fees, and tax. All I can say is, great service at an exceptional price! My 37' Grand Design travel trailer was serviced by Jamie who has 30+ years of experience working on trailers and RVs. It was clear Jamie understands the importance of well-maintained wheel bearings for the safety of taking your RV on the road. Jamie proved to be skilled in diagnosing and repairing any issues concerning wheel bearings, ensuring our trailer is roadworthy and reliable. He took the time to educate me on all aspects of wheel bearing maintenance, suspension, and brakes. In addition, I asked to enter the shop after the wheels were removed to take pictures of the wheel/axle/suspension assembly for my own knowledge and awareness.... Jamie was very accommodating and provided additional insight concerning each of the areas for future maintenance. In talking with Bruce and Jamie, it was clear the organization prides itself on providing exceptional customer service with integrity. As a customer, I felt they treated me with respect and provided professional service with a commitment to excellence. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy trailer repair shop, I strongly recommend Hometown Trailer Sales. When I arrived, I was impressed with the number of RVs waiting in his lot for attention. My Vanlife Tech Siesta system (Bend, OR - FAR away!) would not fire up. Greg was not familiar with it, and several calls to my van outfitter were not returned. Greg was tenacious in his research and attentive to my descriptions and concurrent research. It took until after-hours, but I have lovely heat and hot water again. Greg said, "Give me enough time and I can fix anything." TRUE STORY!

My 2008 Hyundai Elantra has been struggling with holding a charge and various electrical issues…read more After a local tool shop ran code, my boyfriend identified a probable alternator issue. After calling around town, Ian at Butler Service Center let me know they could look at it the next day and even walked me through where to do an overnight drop-off for my vehicle. I dropped my car off after hours and got a diagnosis by 10:30 the next morning- confirming the alternator issues - and stated the repairs would be completed by end of day, and for $400. I'd been expecting $1,000 with labor in this economy, so I was over the moon. When I'd dropped my car off, I noticed they do inspections so I asked if I could send a copy of my insurance for them to inspect, they said of course, and had my new inspection sticker ready on my repaired car at pickup by 1:30. Ian received us at pickup and told us a bit about his background, nearly three decades of experience and knowledge and very personable. He even identified slight wear on one of our tires and rotated them on the house. This entire process was sensationally smooth and surprisingly stellar. Not sure if I got the New Customer Special or what, but my experience with them could not have gone better.
