UPDATE: One Bad…read moreApple doesn't completely spoil the barrel, however, it almost does. I have rented from We Rent Cars and Trucks on multiple occasions because they have well-maintained vehicles at highly competitive prices. On multiple occasions I have encountered a man who works there who simply doesn't understand customer service and basic professional conduct. He has been extremely unfriendly and very unhelpful to me, and I have observed other customers experiencing similar interactions with him. When I was there the last time, I explained to him that I would like to change the card on which the charges were placed and he responded in a very negative and angry way. He said to me at 7:53 a.m., "Well you're going to have to wait until 8am when Lisa gets here." I replied to him by saying that there was no need for rudeness and poor treatment of a customer who simply wants to pay a different way, and that waiting 7 minutes would be no problem at all. My comment was met with anger and a great deal of eye-rolling. This business may rent cars and trucks but they must also provide customer service in the process of doing so. Except for Lisa, who is very friendly unprofessional, most the other employees with whom I have interacted here have been less than accommodating and conduct themselves seemingly without any manners, most of all the Male employee references earlier. I wish I could understand what goes through the mind of a rude employee in 2020 when anyone can post reviews about their experiences, thus mirroring the truth and asserting accountability into the equation. I will figure out the name of this employee and post an update soon. Ironically, one of the male employees helped me retrieve my box cutter which I had dropped in a crevice of the cargo van I had rented. He tried with several tools, but in the end the 12" vice grip pliers I provided did the trick. Strange how one or two of employees will go the extra mile for you here, and the rest of them seem to be total grouches, one much more so than the rest. FROM 2 YEARS AGO: My experience involved an interaction on the phone. The rep said that no amount of money was sufficient for renting a car without a credit card. Debit cards are not accepted regardless of how much balance you have in your account. The rep even refused to consider a cash payment in excess of the total value of the car for a 48 hour rental. He wouldn't rent a $7K vehicle for $10K in cash or debit card hold. This defies logic. There is no reason to refuse an offer like this unless you just don't understand basic business. Additionally, the rep was far from courteous on the phone.

I went to the house they were working at right down the street and the first person I spoke to said "I didn't do it, you have to talk to the boss right there." I went and spoke to the so called boss and he said, "I didn't do it." Now, mind you this is the man in the pick up that was driving right behind the over-sized load that DID take out the wire, and when I asked what needed done he said to call the cable company because it was their fault that it was hanging so low. So, clearly he knew they took out the wire, did not care to come to my door to inform me, did not take any responsibility when confronted, and was completely rude.

I stumbled upon Pittsburgh Truck & Tow. The owner was super helpful and responsive, and had a high quality receiver in stock. Not only did he have it installed in about 30 minutes (without a speck of dirt or debris to be found in my new car!), he adjusted my existing bike rack to fit the new, larger receiver. I have already recommended him to several friends!

WOW what happened here FIRST off warning if you ever deal…read morewith any sort of moving packing company get everything in writing my flooring guy was set to fix my floors he had a great idea! put all the furniture into a little uhaul right in the driveway...threeway call with this company it was set. started out fine two guys showed up at agreed upon time. They carefully packed my living room dining room and a 2 cabinets into the little truck. I was given the key. here is where is all went dangerously bad so here is a WARNING on why you should never deal with this company. I had to contact to them come to put furniture back pick up their truck a phone call about the price I thought the guy originally said 350 now who ever is on the phone tells me its 658 100 for the truck 250 to move furniture into truck 250 to move it out he says look at their on line published prices. Ok fine he hangs up but not before becoming very rude on the phone telling me he is on the way. He will be taking his truck and my furniture and charging me a storage fees. WHAT??? really WHAT? this is customer service? Instead of attempting some sort of explanation Then I get text messages saying he is en route and then another Ok fine what ever since there were only 7 pieces of furniture in the truck we just took them out ourselves guy shows up pacing back and forth on my porch with a cell in hand saying he is calling the police WHY is this guy calling the police? WE ARE SCARED we say what is it you want His truck has never been moved the the furniture is out, minus a cabinet his worker wanted. He has been paid I give him a check for 350.00 made out to Pittsburgh Truck & Tow I get no receipt only him saying he will email it (which I never got) another person gets in truck and drives off meantime this guy is now pacing up and down the sidewalk in front of my house Then my neighbor texts me he says the police pulled over some guy in front of your house I look out now there are two police cars and this guy still out there 2 officers come to my door this guy is now claiming are you ready... my son took a pictures of the inside of the truck and of the truck.(welcome to the world of 2017 where people take pictures of everything including their food) and he said give me a minute to move our car (since truck was in driveway one of our cars was at end of driveway) The officers tell me Bob said he was threatened and I gave him a check and he didn't know if it was good. And he did not like us taking pictures of the truck. Officers said to me this guy is clearly in the wrong business and if he had a problem he can take it to the magistrate. I have a video camera for my front door so the entire interaction is recorded (including you can hear the conversation between my son and this guy) WOW as in just wow ...
