Spring of 2021 My 2013 Buick had a recall for toe links mailed to the house. I quickly contacted the Wexford dealer where this Buick was purchased new. They would contact me when parts were in (April 2021). Fast forward 18 months later and still no call from the Wrong Buick in Wexford Pa and a new safety recall card arrived. Called Wrong dealer again and was rudely told we told you we will call you, parts on national backorder. So, I called 1-800 Buick and they hooked me up with North Star who stated they would also call when parts were in. North Star called 2 days later and car was in 3 days after that and repaired. Brought my GMC in for service on the engine. They not only corrected the issue but explained why it occurred. The service members were thorough, expedient, and knowledgeable. They provided a quick turnaround and got my car back to me within an hour. Very appreciative as they went above and beyond to check my brakes as well as I expressed slight squeaking during braking. Had to replace my windshield, took the vehicle to the dealer then called my insurance company. The insurance company called the dealer and called the company that they outsourced to. I then called the dealer and told them my insurance was covering the windshield. Wil Cooley said "ok, the service manager will take care of it when you check out" I go to check out the next day and the dealership charged me another 142$ on top of the insurance payment. Elderly parents were looking at a SUV from this dealership and made a cash offer to a salesman at this dealership, they took a couple days to decide that they would take the offer and sent a photo of a purchase to my father, well come to find that the offer that was made was put in as purchase price (which salesman agreed to accept) and tax was to be extra which was known upfront but they failed to tell anyone that they was going to stick a misc. charge of 855$ on the back half of the purchase. When I asked what this misc. charge was I was told that it was to pay the office staff for the paperwork they had done on the vehicle and for cleaning and prep work on the vehicle. UMMMM,, first of all, when you set a sales price that you agree on that doesn't mean add charges on at the end.Work the cost of everything that has to do with that vehicle into the price you ask for the vehicle and make that your sales price. Sales price is the price you set on something you are selling... I myself would not want to deal with a dealership that has these practices because if they are going to pull this while trying to sell a vehicle just think what any other dealings are going to be like. read more

Very ignorant Used Sales Manager; I believe it was Todd Guthrie. My father and I came in looking for a vehicle for me, a young female, and he would not speak TO me. He would only speak to my father. Very sales-pitchy, and not personable whatsoever. Talked down to both of us as well. 1-Star for Todd. Derek Shaffer was absolutely amazing. Only had my car for a month and a half and it broke down when I bought the car they told me everything was inspected but the car broke down because the wrong alternator was put on. I called them and asked them how do you inspect and sell a car with the wrong alternator. They treated it like it was my problem like they didn't just sell a car that was messed up and lied about it. It cost me $605 they never got back to me. I did not buy the car as is the warranty was out but it wasn't just something regular it was because the wrong part was on which they should be responsible for. I regret buying a car from them and I find that shady I never bought a car and had this problem right after I bought it and I bought cheap old cars. I spent 15k because I thought bigger dealer would be better to go with learned my lesson read more

I had to get my Terrain inspected, and more than likely have some work done. Turns out they were able to get one other job done which came up in addition to my inspection and exhaust system repair. Although the parts didn't come in at the best time, they still have my vote of confidence when it comes to taking care of customers. My grandson (a private in the U.S. Army) bought a 2008 Chrysler 300C from North Star Buick GMC in Zelienople a little over a year ago. He paid $11,000.00 for it (I co-signed the loan) He traded the 300 in yesterday and was shown a Carfax that reported severe structural damage to the frame in 2012. Therefore the trade in value was $3000.00. A 73% loss in in a year! We never saw the Carfax revealing this damage. This dealership knowingly cheated this young service man out of thousands of dollars. The legal action against them is in process, This kind of thing is unconscionable and should not go unpunished. read more

Pass on this dealership. Their idea of diagnostics and troubleshooting is to replace part after part and hope for the best. That's very lucrative for them. After 3 visits over a months time because of no heat, I'm out $1400. The car throws heat and cleans off half the windshield after driving for 22 minutes. It will not heat up when idling. They seem to think this is normal. Do yourself a favor and find another dealer. Their interest is only in making money. read more

Matt Vogt my service consultant listened to me as I described the issues I felt I was having with my vehicle. He then proceeded to explain what steps would be taken to resolve what I described and any others encountered along the way. I also was provided a loaner vehicle as to not be inconvenienced while having my vehicle serviced. I was informed of every aspect of the work done and the actions taken to ensure my vehicle is operating at peak performance. When I returned to pick up my vehicle it had been washed and cleaned with absolutely no signs that it had just been serviced. I LIKE THAT! ( other dealers service department should learn from yours ) I'm treated as a valued customer not just a number or work order. Purchased new Buick Cascada convertible in August from this dealership. Piece of chrome trim was pitted. Service Dept ordered replacement, but first item they ordered was wrong, so had to re-order. Took 2+ weeks (maybe 3) to get the part from original order date. Scheduled service quickly and they replaced it promptly. But ------ replacement piece was scratched during installation. Probably used a sharp tool to fit it over a clip which left scratches in it. At least the paint did not get scratched. Noticed it when I got home. read more

The service advisors were friend and professional. However, the service manager is a different story. He was rude and unprofessional. I had an issue with my car that happened last time I had the car there, I was told that it would be fixed. When I discussed this with the service manager, he said that he wasn't employed there at the time of the incident and he wasn't sure he could fix it. Meanwhile, I was already by the service department that it would be fixed with no problem and to talk to a manager next time the car was in. I was told that he was going to contact the owner and get back to me. Two days later, I still hadn't heard from him. I contacted the owner myself and was told that it was going to be fixed. The general manager, Keith then contacted me. He was very nice at first, but, turned out to be ignorant and completely unprofessional. When he was told that he just lost 4 dedicated customers, his response was, 'That's OK. Everybody uses that as leverage. I'm going to tell my cousin, aunt, sister not to come here.' He did not care that he had an unhappy, unsatisfied customer. I will be writing a letter to the owner, the regional manager of GM, the BBB, and the FTC. read more

BUYER BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! On April 20, 2011, I purchased a so called "GM Certified" vehicle from North Star through Autotrader on the internet. On May 3, 2011, and only 500 miles on the odometer later I took the vehicle to another GM dealer in my area because my wife said there was a noise coming from the front end. To my surprise, I was informed by the Service Manager at his other GM dealer that the vehicle was never registered as a "GM Certified" vehicle by North Star. To fix the vehicle it required new brakes all around which I understand never met GM certification standards, it required a new control arm and strut, a new shock, and an alignment. My call to North Star took me to a guy named Ron Carello who said he was the owner of North Star GMC and he made $500 per hour (I later learned from the Service Manager that Ron was the Manager and Ron Dakan is the owner). The manager explained to me that North Star gave me such a great deal on the vehicle and hey...."what should I expect" I only paid $20,650.00 for the vehicle. Also, if I wanted to get it covered under warranty I should return the vehicle to them so their service department could verify that the repair work "really" had to be done. Why trust another GM dealership when you can inconvenience the customer. Unfortunately my family and I live some 400 miles away and driving to see the $500.00 per hour guy just wasn't feasible....so much for the "bumper to bumper" nationwide GM Certified warranty as my salesperson Mr. Bellissimo from North Star promised me and I thought I paid for. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP OR THIS MANAGER WHO SAID HE WAS THE OWNER. HE IS EVERYTHING THAT MAKES YOU CRINGE WHEN YOU TALK TO A CAR SALESMAN. read more
