I brought my 2021 Chevy 2500 HD Duramax in for new batteries. The staff were very pleasant and got me in quickly. Just so happens, I got two brand new batteries installed that had a dead cell. Not the dealerships fault (or mine) . I am not pleased with GM's warranty, again not the dealerships fault or mine lol . A parasitic drain randomly occurred during this back and forth with the dead cell batteries that became a nightmare! The service manager Mark Bowser, became involved and took the time out of each day while they searched to solve my electrical issue to call and keep me informed. The level of professionalism and concern for my satisfaction in what turned out to be a lengthy fix, was top notch . I cannot thank Mr Bowser enough for taking an issue I was having with my truck and making me feel I was an important customer. read more

In fact, you might find yourself harassed by mail, email, and telephone calls until you are forced to block them. ***Update-09/02/25-got a check for $75.00 for the refund of my emissions/costs of my inspection. I don't want to return for any more work/inspections at this location. I MIGHT go to another location-but more than likely I will go to a friends' garage and PAY, that's how strongly I feel about NOT going to #1 Cochran. ALSO was NOT asked if there was any problems to address-anything that I was concerned about or no apology letter with that check. ***Got an email to join the "Club" AFTER the inspection. The "Club" offers FREE emissions if you join the FREE club!!! I wasn't told of this when I scheduled or even at the time I checked in and gave them my car!!! I have now emailed twice to get a refund on my cost. We shall see if they actually refund anything-08-26-25** I went to this location because I was told I could choose from ALL locations and have whatever vehicle brought to the Zelie location to test drive. I had several vehicles I wanted to test drive and did LOTS of research to find one that fit me. I got there and looked over the selections and asked if I could see one or 2 at another location. I was told that I really couldn't unless I was DEFINITELY purchasing the car. I was unhappy because that's not what I was told to GET me there. I HAD to purchase a car since my rental was up next day. I also made sure that they knew that I needed a DEPENDABLE car to take me to and from my CANCER treatments. I purchased a 2021 Trailblazer with 15,000 miles-and was getting pushback because I wanted floor mats for it! They reluctantly agreed but I had to come BACK for them and the extra key fob. I wanted to try to give this dealership another chance so I went back to use my free oil change and my "free" inspection-That "free" inspection is $71. This was not advised at the time of scheduling AND definitely not at time of purchase. I was given that information in a condescending manner at the service counter, AND the inspection prices were not directly behind THAT counter, they were off in the darkened area to the left. My inspection was complete(so they said) and I was told to pay at the cashier-I got a "sign this" and "sign here" without any emotion or a "thank you". I got to the service counter and given the heave-ho to get out. I had to ASK where my keys were and got the "in your car"(while I saw a number of keys at the service desk) like I was supposed to know. I got IN my car and noticed that NONE of my tire pressures were the same(or correct). I went back into the service area and asked if tire pressures were one of the things that are done during an inspection AND oil change. I was told "yes" by the man at the service desk. One of the techs looked at me and sighed heavily and said that the tires WERE done they "don't always read correctly in the car" I laughed since I know that's incorrect(I've had this car for a year and have done air in my tires before) I disagreed and stated that I have had my oil changed elsewhere and the readings were all the same. I got a pointed "Where did you have it done?" I said "that doesn't make a difference" He sighed heavily again and said "ok I'll do it again" and I shook my head and said "never mind I will do it myself" I don't need things "Mansplained" to me just because I am a female. I don't need the male attitudes either. Oh and the MULTIPLE fingerprints/smudges where the inspection stickers were put was vile. I won't go back to this place unless I HAVE to! My "free" lifetime inspections will go to waste because I have a local garage that will treat me BETTER and charge me LESS!!! read more

In June of 2023, I purchased a 2016 Kia Sorento from Cochran Chevy with a 6 month, 6,000 mile powertrain warranty. About 2 weeks after I bought it, the car would intermittently make a loud sound and begin bucking when down shifting. I called Cochran and brought it in to be looked at. The mechanic kept the car for the entire weekend, and eventually replicated and experienced the bucking. He identified the problem was the transmission. We asked to have it repaired under the warranty, but the mechanic told us "because it's intermittent, good luck proving it to the warranty company". We began to argue with the sales manager that we didn't want the car anymore since they weren't going to fix it. After some back and forth, the sales manager agreed to return the car, but we had to purchase another vehicle. We bought a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe for an extra 4k on top of the Sorento's return price in July of 2023. Over the next year, we took the Santa Fe to Cochran Ford in Butler for oil changes, and it was inspected by this location in June of 2024. On July 3, 2024, the engine shot a rod and the engine was damaged. We found pieces of the rod/engine on the road and in the engine bay. After getting quotes upwards of 20k to replace the engine, we contacted Cochran to see if they would work with us on possibly trying to trade this in - being that they sold it to us 12 months ago and I only put 8k miles on it. The car, in total, has 97k miles. The salesman told us he'd check with his manager, and never called us back. We've called multiple times and left messages, and no one will call us back. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TRUST CARS FROM COCHRAN. They do NOT stand by their warranty, they do NOT stand by their cars, and they do NOT stand by their customers. On the flip side, Diehl Automotive in Butler talked with us multiple times on the phone, and offered us trade in on the broken Santa Fe, when they owed us nothing. Please take your business to Diehl Automotive or at the very least, STAY AWAY FROM COCHRAN. read more

I went to Cochrain to have a key duplicated for my '99 Suburban. The man behind the service counter was trying to help when someone who was clearly a 'supervisor' intervened and said they wouldn't be able to get a 'good cut' from the key because it was too worn. Hew added that the key would cost $13.50 and if I wanted to try, I would 'own it' if it didn't work. Well, if the key they were copying worked, why wouldn't a duplicate work? I told them to go ahead. Guess what? The duplicate worked. The 'supervisor' didn't know what he was talking about. I would never buy a new car from Cochrain if this is how their service department operates. read more

I found a car on internet and negotiated price over phone with sales mgr Joe Reed, but when I went to get the car discovered severe damage to one of the wheels. Joe told me that because he had given me discount he wanted ME to pay to have it repaired! I eventually agreed to pay an addl $100 more for the car and signed a "we owe you" paper saying they will repair the wheel later. BUT they "forgot" to give me a copy of the "we owe you" paper. When I call they tell me "we'll look into it" and never call me back. I was forced to stop pmt on the check. Liars and scam artists! read more

I've been having some issues with the transmission on my 2016 Chevy Traverse and made an appointment with the head service advisor before the big Covid 19 shutdown. We went on a test drive and he agreed that there was a problem with the transmission. Upon returning to the dealership, he told me that he would coordinate with a service advisor and the transmission specialist and then call me back to schedule an appointment. About a week later, we had the big corona virus shutdown. I received no phone call back and really wasn't all that surprised. A month later, I called the head service advisor and left a voicemail message to try to schedule an appointment and another month went by with no return call. So, I called the head service advisor about 2 weeks ago and actually spoke with him this time. He gave me the same instructions as before - he would coordinate with the service advisor and the transmission specialist and then call me back to schedule an appointment. Again, 2 weeks went by without a phone call. Frustrating? Yes!!! It pains me to write this review but I am an outside salesman and if I were to treat one of my customers the way that the service advisors of #1 Cochran Chevrolet in Zelienople treated me, I wouldn't have any customers!!! I'm quite disappointed at the treatment I received from #1 Cochran and probably won't do business with them in the future! read more
