    Chris had to take his car here to get an oil change. They seemed really nice. I liked the lobby, but they could have had more/better seating. Some customers were left to stand around because of the lack of chairs. They had some good freebies for the waiting customers. Coffee, tea, pop, and water. It was nice to be able to kinda chill and have a nice hot cup of tea, but when we came back we had no seats to sit in! A-Ok for sure. The freebies were also in the showroom and not in the service center, if we didn't ask we wouldn't have known about them, not good for the people who were waiting for their cars to be done. He made an appointment and the car was done in the time they said it would be. Overall it was a good experience.

    Absolutely unacceptable and dangerous…read more I paid $950 here for new tires and trusted them to do a basic, critical job correctly. They didn't even tighten my wheels properly. After leaving, I started hearing noises and had to pull over -- turns out the lug nuts were loose. I had to stop multiple times and tighten them myself just to make it safe to drive. The tires needed to be replaced urgently, which is why I chose this place. They also tried to upsell me on additional repairs, but I stuck to just getting the tires done -- honestly, I'm glad I did, because they couldn't even get that part right. This isn't a small mistake. This is how people get seriously injured or killed. For a shop that charges this much, failing to torque wheels is pure negligence. No professionalism, no attention to safety, nothing. If you value your life, go somewhere else.

    Monro Muffler 3145 West Liberty Ave…read more Shop 565 Pittsburgh, PA 15216 On August 13th, I visited Monro for my annual inspection and emissions. I got a phone call from an employee from Monro. They said I needed rear brakes and rotors needed replaced. I said to do it. On the invoice replacing the brake pads cost a total of $199, including labor. Brake rotors cost $350, including labor. All in; 549.99. At the beginning of September when driving to get groceries I noticed a very loud clicking sound coming from the rear of my Jeep. I decided not to take my Jeep back to Monro, I called a local car repair shop near my home and had my Jeep at his shop later that week. After inspecting things, here's what he found: The right rear lower caliper bracket bolt was missing. The other bolt was loose. Monro installed all of my old hardware. I was missing two shims on the left rear side. There was plenty on lube on the bolts. No locktite was used. The rear driver side bolts were loose. The left rear upper guide pin was dry and no lube was used. All of the pad shims were not aligned to the pads. Overall, the cost was $251. On Saturday September 14th I decided to pay a visit Monro on West Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, Pa. I met Manager: Ray. I asked him explain to me what work was done to my Jeep in August. He stated rear brakes and rotors were replaced, and the Jeep was inspected and emissions test was done. I showed Ray the invoice from the other shop. I then pulled out the old pads that showed the misalignment of the shims. I then asked Ray how can we make this "right". Ray's comeback was " if I wouldn't have waited a month before coming back in". I let Ray know that I work from home and I rarely drive nowadays. No apology, no responsibility taken; not even a "I'm sorry for your inconvenience. Quite sad.... He said he filed a complaint with corporate. I will be calling them next week. Beware of this place!

Now, I usually take my car to the Steubenville Pike Pep Boys, so the Cranberry thing was just a one-off because at the time I thought it would be more convenient as I was in the area and figured the service was good at my usual location, so why not elsewhere? Won't make that mistake again. Anyway, last weekend I took my car in due to some rumbling noise in the rear which I thought was due to a bearing. Turned out I needed my struts replaced. So Bob, ace Pep Boy extraordinaire at this location told me he could take $100 off with some in store coupons to buffer a bit of the cost as I would also need an alignment, which goes hand in hand with this sort of job. So I took my car back in today. They fixed the struts, but Bob informed me they found some other weird noise after that. I was a bit saddened by the news as this is a '99 Camry I'm driving with over 200,000 miles on it. Great car, still drives excellently, but these little repairs can add up fast. When I went to pick up my car and pay for the struts, Bob informed me that the other noise was being caused by the bushings, and that he just comped that for me, saying, "I just wanted to make sure it was 100% for you." Awesome. Just, fantastic in every way. I also got the discount that he mentioned the week before. So all in all, I was a happy guy, fully vindicated after the disaster that was my previous trip to the Cranberry Store. This is the Pep Boys you want to go to if you're in the area. The staff is friendly, they know what they're doing, and they're not there to just punch in and out and pick up a paycheck. Bob went out of his way to make sure I got service above and beyond what I expected just because he's Bob, and he's awesome. So take note, corporate heads of Pep Boys, this is a stellar store and one all your others should be modeled after. The Cranberry location can still eat it.

I don't remember what it was exactly but the result, a dead engine. He went in, they told him they couldn't do the inspection because of a broken tail light. It was a small piece, red over red and barely noticeable. they didn't tell him it was the whole light assembly, $645.19 + labor. They never told him any prices. They never asked if they should replace two other bulbs, $3.49 & $3.99, ++ 2 - $52 labor charges. I tried calling them, the phone rings but they don't pick up. Next, I went to the main Firestone site and through a chat rep I explained the issue. The full charge was showing as pending on my account. I wanted them to reduce it and only charge what was done. The chat rep said a management person would call me back, it's over a week later and nothing. Now the full charge is showing on the account $909!! I tried the store again and finally got someone on the phone. He was not able to do the refund himself but agreed, since not everything was installed we shouldn't have to pay it. I am supposed to get a call back from the manager when he gets back in a couple days. We will see what happens. Update: Never got the call back. I called Corporate again and they said I had to go to the store to get the refund. I went and the manager didn't want to give me the refund for the light assembly because it was a special order from a dealer and they couldn't return it. He offered to give it to me but what am I going to do with it. I told him I spoke to corportate and they said to go to the store to get the refund. He argued that there were no notes on my account, not my problem, I want my money back. He finally did it. I am done with them.

Neither the tow truck driver on scene, nor the lady at the front desk when we went to the garage to see the car, explained anything regarding the vehicle, tow, or storage of the vehicle to us. On top of that, they would not let my daughter get her belongings from her vehicle until the next day. When she arrived at 830am the next day (when they opened), the lady told her she could not get her belongings until 10am. My concussed daughter had to sit there with her step father for an hour and a half. Then, at 953am she asked if she could please get her stuff including water as her head hurt and she didn't feel well. This same lady refused because it was not 10am exactly. At this point once her belongings were gathered, nobody explained prices to us. We were physically there twice with no explanation of costs. When we called less than 48 hours later to get the car towed away from this garage (accident happened on the 22nd, we called on the 24th) they tried to charge us almost 900 dollars for towing the wrecked vehicle 3 MILES AND STORING IT FOR LESS THAN 48 HOURS. We were hung up on multiple times when asking questions about this. We ended up paying 650 dollars. My 18 year old was completely taken advantage of by this company. Rude, unprofessional, nasty, not a place you want to deal with.

Leanna (I think that's her name) was doing whatever she could to make the customers experience the best. The man who sits next to her is absolutely hilarious and is so extremely knowledgeable about vehicles. The service was very prompt. My car even had some issues I didn't know about and one of the mechanics came to talk to me personally about it and showed me pictures to help me understand. I called ahead for an estimate and they were right on the money. This place will never take advantage of you. I have verbally recommended to so many people already! Also side note I am not originally from PA and back home my dad would always help me with car troubles. When I don't have that type of access available in Pittsburgh, it's so nice to find a place that will not take advantage of you because you're a clueless, young woman. This place treated me with respect and excellently explained all the questions I had.
