CarSense is awesome! I was buying my first car after finally getting my license (at age 30!). My dad has bought a few cars from the CarSense in Cranberry and always had a great experience, so he recommended I check the Robinson location out since it's closer to me. First, their website is super easy to use to help you see their current inventory and search/filter by make, model, price, mileage, and even special features. If you create an account, you can also save cars and come back to review and compare them later. They had several hatchbacks in my price range available. I called a few days before I wanted to come to the dealership and spoke with Jaison, who was super friendly and easy to work with. He talked to me about what I was looking for and even sent me a video of one of the cars I was very interested in. When I came out to the dealership, I wanted to test drive some alternatives. Jaison had told me he wouldn't be there when I was planning to arrive, so I worked with Jon, who was also very nice. Jon gave me three cars to test drive, and I ended up going with a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic. It looks brand new and has under 20K miles on it. I'm an idiot and forgot my checkbook at home, but Jon let me fill out all of the paperwork so I would just need to come back in the morning with a check. It took under two hours to test drive and choose a car and do the paperwork, and then 15 minutes for me to get it from them this morning. A few things to keep in mind: 1) They do NOT haggle. It's not what they do, and they're literally not allowed to do it. This isn't a bargaining thing; they just don't do it. So be prepared to pay the exact sticker price. 2) Their financing is based on the vehicle that you choose, so you can't apply before you choose a car. This Carshop has the worst service I've experienced in decades. I dont know who bought or took over carsense Robinson, but they're awful. It tookseveral phone calls just together through to the service desk. I made an appointment for 7 weeks in advance for the annual inspection. The inspection went well, I only needed one tire to pass, and they didn't have it in stock so I was asked to call back. Again it was impossible to get through to the service desk. I got a message to buy a medical device or it went straight to Car Shop Cranberry. When I spoke with someone at the Cranberry location. I was told they couldn't make any appointments for the Robinson service desk, and they couldn't transfer me to the Robinson service. The clerk said the Robinson shop phones "didn't work". I was going to go into the Robinson service area in person, but on the way, I drove by 5 tire stores. I'll make an appointment at one of those businesses for my one 129.95 tire. And Carshop has lost our entire family's business. We used to only buy our cars their and always had a great experience. Maybe 3 cars bought there in ten years doesn't mean anything to whoever changed Carsense to Carshop. But im not buying a car from someplace that doesn't have phones that work. read more

Went to the shop and the guy told me to wait why they inspect the car. He come back 10 minutes later and said that the car id dead middle of the road. First of all, it never happened in eight years I had the car for. Secondly, they never told me that they are taking for a test drive or asked my permission if they want me to be present on the passenger side. The way it was explained to me was sketchy. After the incident, the guy who drove the car was saying this was the third car he ended up in this situation. Felt something wrong with this place. Even if this was a co-incidence, the way staff handled was so unprofessional. They were just bouncing me back and forth between service department vs sales. The guy called "AJ" I had appointment with was least bothered - and I had to chase him asking questions. Finally they gave my key back and asked me to leave. Scammer. please proceed with Scam Alert I bought a Tesla from CarShop Robinson in May 2025, paid over $2,000 down plus fees, and they even took $4,000 from my Earned Income Credit refund advance. They never registered the car, disabled my payment link, and then repossessed it in the middle of the night without notice -- while keeping my money and personal belongings. I have filed complaints with the Attorney General and FTC. I later learned other dealerships are warning about scams where Teslas are sold to multiple people while credits are collected. I purchased my vehicle at the Car Shop Robinson at the end of May 2025. My previous car was totaled in a storm, so I was not really ready to have to purchase another car, but it is what it is. There were a lot of options to look at and I was able to test driver them all. I ended up purchasing a 2023 Ford Explorer XLT. It is the perfect size for my growing family. The Car Shop car inspection said everything was good to go or so I believed. After I took the vehicle home with me there were a few issues with it. First, I was experiencing the radio screen was turning black or freezing quite often. I took the vehicle back to Car Shop for it to be inspected but they didn't find anything. They advised if the issue continued to take the vehicle to a Ford dealership for service. I ended up doing that and it was a software update that was needed. Second, it needed an oil change! Wouldn't you think that was something the dealership would do before it left the lot? Yeah, I thought so too. So, I take my car for the oil change and soon after I receive a call from the garage. The air cabin filter has never been changed. Great, more money out of my pocket, but it gets better. I will need tires come Winter! Yep, all four. They are passing for now but will not stand up to the Pittsburgh winters we get. Overall, I am happy with the car for what it is, but I think Car Shop severely dropped the ball when it came to the inspection (as they bragged several times about "109-point inspection) and making sure the car was in tip-top shape to be sold. read more

We traded in our car and purchased one with the cash we were given. I don't know if they aren't used to having people pay in full or what but 6 weeks have gone by and we still don't have the title. My temp tags are going to expire in 18 days and the man in the finance department says it could be about 3 more weeks before we receive it. Also, the first car we bought ended up having alot of cosmetic damage which should have been taken care of before we drove it off the lot and after 2 days, I was dissatisfied with it's performance on the snow and ice. We took it back and were treated like 2nd class citizens. They made us wait over 3 hours to exchange the car. There were about 5 salespeople working that day but the only one actually performing work was the one we needed to deal with. The others were playing on their phones and laughing and talking. I'm very upset we have no title yet as we're getting ready to travel and will just be under the deadline to get regular plates. They also made us take a form to the DMV in Ohio (where we live) to get the VIN number verified. Had we known that it was going to be such a cluster to purchase a car there, we NEVER would have done it. So think hard before you go there. read more

Purchased a car July 2023. Inspection was only good until May 2024 ( no big deal ) A few weeks after I needed new front brakes and rotors .( it happens ) They took care of that no problem . I go for inspection in May I needed both back breaks and rotors. Less than a year and 6k miles later I have to now pay for both back breaks and rotors. Taking my care elsewhere to have the work done. Was charged for a failed inspection. Stuff happens but seems like a pattern here. read more

Chris had to take his car here to get an oil change. They seemed really nice. I liked the lobby, but they could have had more/better seating. Some customers were left to stand around because of the lack of chairs. They had some good freebies for the waiting customers. Coffee, tea, pop, and water. It was nice to be able to kinda chill and have a nice hot cup of tea, but when we came back we had no seats to sit in! A-Ok for sure. The freebies were also in the showroom and not in the service center, if we didn't ask we wouldn't have known about them, not good for the people who were waiting for their cars to be done. I was planning on my 3rd car to buy from Car Sense. Financing was done, just needed to sign the paperwork. Sadly, another couple bought the car out from under us. It sucks, but it is also life. Now this is where it get interesting... The rates we were told for the "used" car were a bit on the high side. But, hey what do we know? When the deal fell through, on my way home I stopped at a new car dealer to look at what I lost at Car Sense. To my surprise, the 2018 model, with the same options (it actually had 2 more, but who's counting) was $400.00 more than the 2106 with 9500 miles that Car Sense was going to sell to me. Okay, surprised, but not shocked. When the financing came back it was 4% LOWER than the USED car rate Car Sense offered. In my multiple purchases with Car Sense all my financing rates were a bit elevated. According to the Car Sense sales people 10% and better was the norm. Although, my NEW car loan was lower and ironically with the same lender one of my Car Sense was with. Has me thinking this no-haggle thing is a ruse, while you may be thinking your getting a deal, Car Sense may be making the $$$$ on the backside of the deal with elevated interest rates on "used cars". All I know is with my next car purchase I am going to be a bit more aware of the financing rates. read more

Carsense is a great place to go for certified (true certified) used vehicles. Their no haggle prices, great/responsive customer service, alongside their responsive website, brought me into their lot. I may one of the few reviewers that have been on both sides of the table - previously selling back a gently used car (Cranberry location) as well as purchasing a certified used vehicle a few years later. During both experiences, I received excellent customer service. On this specific visit, I had a few specific cars in mind to test drive based on the information found on the Carsense website. I was able to drive several cars without the usual "salesperson" chatter and quickly selected the vehicle I wanted to drive off the lot with. The whole transaction took a few hours, but was completed much more quickly than I was expecting. My salesperson Carrie has gone above and beyond to answer questions and reach out to me to follow up, making sure I did not have any issues. I recommend this location (and Carrie!) to anyone looking for an excellent used vehicle. Jaison was super helpful and friendly and was able to help me in all of the details and information that comes along with buying a car. Unfortunately, on the day that I purchased the Jeep, the detail service wasn't available but they gave me a "We Owe" slip for me to return in 30 days to get my Jeep looking brand new. I can't believe I haven't left a review for Car Sense until now. I purchased my car here a year ago and also get all of the service done here. I will never go anywhere else for regular maintenance for this car. My experience buying the car was great. This was my first time buying a car not from a private owner and it couldn't have been easier or more low-pressure. As I was totally new to the process, I was very wary of getting "tricked" into add-on's I didn't need, upsells, getting ripped off, etc. What drew me to Car Sense was the straightforward price and the friendly employees. Everyone we worked with there was honest, low-pressure and friendly, from the first visit to the lot to signing on the dotted line. The service in the garage is just a laudable. The price for everything is posted on the wall. When I went for my last oil change in May, the mechanics noticed that they inspection was due that month and asked me if I wanted them to take care of that at the same time. I was happy to get it out of the way but was unprepared (don't tell me dad or the cops!) with an expired registration and no new copy of my insurance. The guys in the garage took care of everything for me....calling my insurance for the new paperwork to be faxed over and helping me renew my registration online. They seriously went above and BEYOND to accommodate me and they STILL had me back on the road in less than 90 minutes. EVERYONE should go to Car Sense. read more

I had a good experience buying my car. The no-haggle thing they do is nice, but the salespeople are clearly pressured to sell you all of the bells and whistles warranty options they can. One thing though- when I got home and opened the glove compartment, I found a brand new shrink wrapped bible. Why would they be so presumptuous as to assume I would want a bible in my car? Absolutely ridiculous. Edit: I did some Googling and found out that a former manager was fired for refusing to participate in mandatory prayer sessions and bible studies. I bought my car here last year and Timothy made the process easy. I purchased the additional insurance so I tend to come here for any service I may need. Today I can in for my state emissions and inspection. I will note my car is around 1 1/2 years old. I was told I needed new rotors to pass the test even though I had never experienced the issue they described. While waiting I noted that they told every woman that came in that they had rotor issues. It may very well be a coincidence, but I am now extremely leery... I will probably explore other options next time I need some work done that is outside of my coverage. read more

I also visited one evening on Sunday when they were closed and walked the lot quietly. I decided to visit the next day with the intention of test driving a few Ford Fusions but I ending up purchasing. After hearing all these horror stories about purchasing cars I spent many many hours researching the best makes, models, and the best prices. As I spoke to the sales associate for the first time he was very laid back. Happy to answer any question I had but not pushing for a sale at anytime. I had a great experience at the cranberry location. Everything was up front and honest and if any delays I had great communication. I wanted to buy a second car and decided to go local to the Robinson location which was the biggest mistake. I initially was advised a certain amount of money down for the 4 various cars I test drove. I then was advised to wait and they wanted to get a better deal. This is when the nightmare came with verification process and mis leading communication from the lender and the store. Then a full day almost happens after I do 6 hours of leg work on my end and no communication. Only after I email the General Manager do I then receive communication from the sales manager and finance manager. He made it a pleasure to do business with the location by keeping us informed through the entire process. The rest of the team were great as well. If you are looking for a car do yourself a favor... stop in and see Cole M. My wife and I just purchased 2 cars from the Robinson location. We had priced 2 at a different OEM dealership and were thinking about buying there even though the cars and the deal were not quite what we wanted (color, options & 3000.00 more) because it was the best deal we had found. But they were closing and the cars were not ready so we would have to come back the next day. Luckily we stopped at Car Sense in Robinson just to check "one last place". Cole M. came out on the lot even though it was 45 min before the dealership opened. He walked us around to see the models we were looking for and even checked their other locations to see if there were any we wanted to consider. I explained what I was looking for in the deal (our trades plus our budgeted amount) out the door, no additional money. Even though I explained up front that we were likely going to get the cars from the other location Cole went to work to see if he could put it together. We went to the OEM dealership and they still did not have the cars ready we would have to go back for a third time. On our way home Cole called and said if we wanted to bring our trades in for evaluation he thought he may be able to do what we requested. I had a great experience with Ron, who no longer works there. He was very helpful and found a car I liked, which had to be transferred. The car I traded in on was given a great price, about $900 over what I owed on it, so I used that as a down payment. After the car came in, I very happily picked it up, but unfortunately it didn't work out for me, so I returned it and got another car in its place. Carsense's try it or bring it back deal is great. The "new" car is a 2011 Ford Fusion. The price was around $18,500, but I was financed for around $21k with the addition of their warranty. Keep in mind, I got this car last summer (June 2014). I had a few things wrong with it that happened while under their warranty, and they were fixed except for one, a bent rim on one tire which the service manager said must have been my fault. Um, no, honey, I baby my cars. The ties that came with the car weren't great. When I looked at the car after bringing it home, I noticed a bulge on one tire, about the size of a ping pong ball. The tire was replaced under their warranty, yet the rim would be a $210 replacement, or their guys could seal it for me. I went with sealing it because I didn't, and still don't, have that much money for one rim! Who does?! After realizing that I just don't like the car, I decided to bring it in to Carsense to see what I could get on it. My car has everything except a navigation package. It has a backup camera, but instead of a central dash screen, it's got a little view box that appears in the rearview mirror when the car is in reverse. I was offered $11,000 for my car, when I still have a payoff amount of $17,000. I consider this a huge slap in the face, as I only bought it LAST YEAR. So, does this mean that the car was over priced? I think so. Last year, certain cars that I had been eying were going for $25k or so at Carsense a year ago and the same thing, one year newer to accommodate for time changes, and they're being sold for $20k. So, yes, I believe the cars are overpriced. I was really happy to buy from Carsense at first. But more and more, I feel like I should've gone to a big box dealership. When I was there last year, the staff were friendly and made me feel welcomed. When I went back for service in last month, there was a distinct difference. I asked one sales guy, Jarrod, for help and he was interested until I told him I wouldn't be buying until the fall, due to wanting to save up money for a good down payment. A heartbeat after I said that, he was incredibly disinterested in me and then lied to me. I gave him my email address and car VIN, as he told me he'd ask the finance manager about how much is left on my warranty. Apparently, if you get one of their warranties and then trade in your vehicle a year or so after you buy it, you can use the warranty as a down payment. Prior to me telling Jarrod that I wasn't buying for a few months, he was all gung ho to ask the finance guy about how much I had on the warranty. After I said I'm not buying for a few months, I got "Oh, I'll take your information to the manager," but I never heard anything afterwards. So, save up your money and go here if you want to over pay and feel good about it. Or save up your money, grab a friend who isn't afraid to haggle, and go to a big name dealership. It feels odd to rave about a car buying experience but wow, Car Sense is not like anything I've ever experienced before. I worked with Kyle at the Robinson Township location and he was great. Very patient in helping me to try several different vehicles until I found the one that was just right for me. I'd done a lot of research prior to arrival, showing up with a spreadsheet of vehicles to test drive Having already communicated with Kyle prior to arrival, he had my top choice waiting for me by the door for my first test drive. It was an exceptionally hot day and he was kind enough to start the cars for me and have the A.C. running so we didn't even have to enduring the summer heat. Everyone we dealt with at Car Sense was a credit the the company. Ali met us at the front counter and was courteous in greeting and prompt in letting Kyle know we were there. Even though Ali wasn't going to get the sale, he was very pleasant and made a great impression for the company. There is a no pressure attitude about the process which is greatly appreciated. The website is helpful with the inventory though it did have a glitch one evening which Kyle cleared up for me. Each car I test drove was like new. Their inventory is extensive and I think virtually everyone could find something to fit their needs. There are extended warranty options but they are presented to you, not pushed on you. So, we purchased a vehicle which was a beautiful Cadillac. One of their biggest sales points is they have a 5 day return policy. This was not our reason for buying there because we had no intention to return this vehicle. We spent all evening there getting finances in order, and purchasing the car. We drove away and loved it. We received a call from the salesman the next day, he gave us back the wrong paperwork. We went back again no problem and gave him what he needed. Salesman was great until...... We drove it and quickly determined that going from a truck to a Cadillac was not a good idea. My husband is a big guy. So we opted to return the vehicle. They have a big sign when you walk in on the monitor "5 DAY RETURN POLICY". You sign papers that say "5 DAY RETURN POLICY". They couldn't find us anything that we liked, so we actually took them up on their warranty and returned it. The service after that was deplorable. Salesman left us and said nothing more. He left us standing in the show room, no communication and in fact the salesman turned his back on us when we walked out the door. Not even a we are sorry it didn't work out and hope to see you back. Nothing...Then the manager called us a day later for a survey and told my husband "well wouldn't you be upset if your buyer returned a vehicle" . They advertise this! We even had the manager ask us if we found something cheaper and asked if that was why we were returning it. If you like the vehicle at Car Sense buy it but don't ever use their return policy. I went with my mother who is in the market for a new car. Our sales person was Andrew Dillon in Robinson, PA and he was honestly the worst type of person. He won't let us leave after declining to buy the car at least 5 times and held us there for nearly 4 hours. My mother was the person buying the car, yet he was asking me all the questions. He had no idea what he was doing. He wanted insurance on the car before we even had a loan. Referred to my mother as grandma and was just all around rude. He also insisted that my mom couldn't read or hear as if she had problems. We're both calling and put in a complaint on him. Worst sales experience. We walked out not buying anything. We knew an hour in we didn't want to buy a car from him but he held BOTH our drivers Licenses until he finally let us leave. If you go there do not go with Andrew Dillon as your sales person. Horrible experience. Robert Shull contacted me and I explained that I already did everything online. He told me to text him a photo of my driver license and what I wanted. I did that immediately after the initial conversation. Never heard back from him. Texted him back and he never replied. That says a lot about how they run the business. read more
