i think this place used to be a pizza restaurant or something because i could tell there were still some flyers or signs that indicated that it was - but anyways this is a great spot for cheap eats and easily accessible in this college town right by UVA. i was in the area and was hungry for some lunch and thought this place would be an authentic place for chinese dishes and it did not disappoint. i ordered fried dumplings and cold noodles. the dumplings were flavorful and crispy and the noodles were a good texture - not to chewy accompanied with the same sauce as the dumplings. my bf got the beef noodles and was impressed by the quality and the taste. we also came around lunch time and went for the lunch special! overall, i would recommend this place and support this family operated business for their tasty food and quick service! read more

Came here after a late night out, and this place did not disappoint!! Food came out quickly and hit the spot! I tried the teriyaki chicken and loved it :) the workers were so nice too! There isn't a ton of seating inside, but there are tables outside if you can't find a spot indoors. Def would recommend coming here after a late night (or really any other time haha)! read more

Stopped by Beijing Station for the first time and was greeted by the welcoming employees behind the counter. I enjoyed how friendly the staff were and how it felt like a homey, humble family establishment. I decided to check out their wonton ramen and thought it was great. Every element of the ramen soup was executed well and the food also came out quickly. The bowl was huge and came with a good amount of noodles and wontons. Everything I have ordered from here has been delicious, but a warning that when they say spicy, they mean it! I got their mala chicken more recently, and the sauce was absolutely deliciously seasoned, but super spicy (for my low-tolerance to spiciness). I ate half as it came, but hardly handled it, so I actually took the time to wash the chicken and veggies by hand to remove the sauce and chili seeds. Went with hubby a couple weeks ago for lunch while at the medical center. We were pleasantly surprised by the authentic and well priced food. Had the ramen and mustard/ground meat noodles and house soup. Each noodle dish was large and under $9. What a bargain! This is homestyle cooking with Chinese comfort food. My boyfriend and I checked out this place since he's a big fan of Chinese crepes. I had never tried one on the other hand. We got a pork crepe, chicken crepe, and a pork hot bun. The owner also gave us some free rice porridge too, which was really nice of him. I enjoyed my chicken crepe and how the different ingredients came together to give a unique flavor. The chicken was delicious, very soft and tender. The portions are huge and super filling. I was full after just having one half of the crepe and ate the other half for lunch the next day. The pork bun was good too, but the rice porridge was quite bland (which is expected). While I had a good experience, I'm not sure I would return (which sucks to say because I really like the owner and I want the business to do well). It seems like half of their menu right now is the same as Marco & Luca's. I hope that they'll expand/change their menu in the future, because I'm not sure how well they would do if they don't offer something new and unique to the Corner. Overall, I'd give 3.5 stars rounded to a 4 with the hope that they will refine their menu. read more

This is a hidden gem!! Tried to get Marco and Luca the other day for lunch but they were randomly closed so decided to go here. They have the M&L sauce but use a different type of dumpling. Which was surprisingly delicious!! This is a very solid alternative to going to M&L for the dumplings. The price is about the same as well. The only thing that palls in comparison was their version of the peanut noodle. It was not bad by any means but definitely not as flavorful. In terms of service the girl helping me was very sweet and was able to get my food quickly. Definitely want to come back to try their other offerings! read more

Update! I came here again after it recently reopened. I intended to get a crepe on Sunday but I walked up only to see it was closed. However, the owner was in the store and offered to make the crepes for me anyway! It took a while (since they had nothing prepped), but it was well worth it and I was so grateful he offered to make it for me even though it was closed. Because I was sitting inside, a few other people trickled in thinking it was open and he made food for whoever came in. The credit card machine was down that day (I guess because the store was supposed to be closed) so he let me have the crepes without paying (although I went back the next day to pay haha). When I went back to pay, I also tried the pork and eggplant rice bowl. It's super flavorful and the eggplant tastes great. It's a pretty decent price but I recommend just upgrading to the combo because you get two sides for only $1.50 more. It's SUPER filling! read more

don't eat here. went with my friends late at night because we were starving and from out of town. we all got food poisoning and were up all night long with stomach issues. the drive back to our hometown was miserable. we probably had to stop every 30 minutes to use the bathroom. i'm currently typing this from a gas station toilet. i wouldn't wish this on anybody. my advice would be to just go to bed hungry instead read more

Very plain Jane. Got the fried rice and it lacked proper flavor. Had to load up my dish with soy sauce and saracha for taste. Way too much black pepper added to the dish and the veggies were hard. If you like PF Chang's this is not the place to visit. read more
