The steamed dumplings were basically huge pork(?) tasteless meatballs inside 1/4 inch thick dough pouches, wayyyy to much dough. The egg roll was fried to death and not edible. I got my very first meal from OE when I first built my house in C'Ville over 15 years ago and have been a regular customer ever since. In fact it's been so long that my only negative comment is going there makes me feel old (the owners' daughter used to be a child doing homework in the restaurant and now she is off at college). I digress. The food is really good and the portions are generous. The lunch specials are hard to beat. For takeout you can't go wrong with OE. The only bad thing about this place is that it doesn't have any tables to sit at! I would make the 45 minute drive to eat here all the time if it did :) My husband and I went in late, around 7pm, and the woman was SO nice. I agree with the other reviewers the hostess is very friendly and helpful. The food was ready on time and piping hot- even the sugar bread. We were very impressed with the base sauce used to make these entrees. Light in color and very flavorful. Big slices of orange added to the taste and appearance of the dish. However, as a couple other reviews have said, their attitude is they are doing you a favor to serve you or, heaven forbide, leave out an item from a dish because you don't like it. My wife ordered a dish and politely requested no celery. The woman who owns the place screamed her saying "You don't get more meat because you don't get celery". We had been regular customers for years. It started going downhill around 2016. Gave them another shot last time we were home but it hasn't gotten any better.
