These dumplings are okay. It's definitely convenient for sure. The flavor is there with the sauce so make sure you get the sauce! Dumplings by itself was a bit too blend, but, it's fried pretty good

Perfect for if you're in a time crunch and need to pick up some quick food! The dumplings and baos tasted delicious, and came out very fast. Baos had a fluffy texture to my surprise. I haven't tried their noodles or soup yet but maybe next time!

A favorite for my partner and me. The dumplings are the star which are always made fresh, but we occasionally grab an order of sesame noodles. Staff is quiet but polite. It's not the deal it used to be but that seems to be true for most places in this area, post-pandemic.

Marco & Luca is a quick and cheap spot on The Corner to get dumplings that has become a staple for university students. I ordered their dumplings and steamed pork bun to eat there and both came out fresh and served with a thick salty and sweet molasses-like sauce. I was hoping for more flavor from the pork meat filling for the dumplings but the sauce helped out with that aspect, though the sauce was a tad too salty for my taste buds. The pork bun tasted like a standard pork bun and had more flavor compared to the dumplings but I don't think I would order it again because it wasn't too memorable.

Grabbed lunch to-go at Marco & Luca and it hit the spot. The hot & sour soup was delicious with a fairly generous serving! Unfortunately the order was ready 30 min earlier than we indicated for our pick up time, since we used the "order ahead" option online, so the fried dumplings had been sitting around for a while and didn't taste as fresh as they could have been. The filling was delicious and the sauce was yummy, I just wish they had been fresh fried because the skin became a little chewier than desired.

It was rainy and cold today so I stopped in for some dumplings and their sesame noodles (I couldn't resist). As always, the dumplings were crispy and flavorful. The sesame noodles were delicious and definitely pair well as a cooler and softer flavor compared to the dumplings. This place always hits the spot.

Delicious food, friendly staff, interesting and comforting atmosphere. We ordered hot pork buns and hot and sour soup. Their rices are great value for this really yummy food. Would recommend!

This place is a great concept for a slightly fast casual food. However because the dumplings were already pre fried and we refried when we purchased them they lacked a bit of that initial crispiness in a fried dumpling. The filling was nice and juicy. The sauce it came with was okay tasted a bit of hoisin and a sweet Thai chili sauce. The Sesame cold noodles were refreshing with the slices of apple. It was different from your typical cold noodles the slight tartness and sweetness of the apples complemented the soy sauce like base of the noodles. Overall a decent place for a quick snack in Charlottesville.

I've been several times. I've usually gotten the combo, but I go for the sweet and sour noodles when I want to mix it up. First things first: the value is incredible. You can get a full meal for $7-10; just pick two of your favorite items. The hours are great too; I'm a night owl at heart. Knowing I can roll up and fill random Asian cravings at 2 AM just makes life feel better. Now for the food. The combo, a big variety meal for $10, comes with dumplings, pork bun, chicken curry, sauce, and a drink. The dumplings are nice by themselves, but for some extra fun you can eat half and dip the other half in sauce. The sauce then goes inside the dumpling--and boy is it good! Just spicy enough, and flavorful. Put the sauce on the pork bun, too. The pork bun kind of needs it, unfortunately; the bread is seldom easy to eat and there isn't much pork in there. But the sauce almost makes up for it! The chicken curry takes up the most space on the combo tray, and you get a lot! The chicken is cut large and chunky, but it falls apart in your mouth, so it isn't hard to eat. The curry sauce has some spice flavor and goes with the rice really well. Cilantro haters beware, however: they heap the stuff right on the chicken. Nothing an ask won't fix, but be mindful. If you want a smaller, but still complete and flavorful, meal, definitely go for the sweet and sour noodles. It's really deceptive just how much food they can put in one small foam box! They top it off with apple slices, which is a really great touch you have to eat to believe. Oh, and they're just $4. For the same price as a Big Mac you can get a much tastier, much more satisfying meal that's not made of processed garbage. The overlords of food did Charlottesville a good turn when Marco and Luca came around. Do yourself a good turn and take in all it has to offer.

My best friend and I absolutely love dumplings, so when I visited UVA, I had to give this place a try. I got an order of the pork dumplings. They're perfectly crispy and the sauce is absolutely incredible. It's really cool how you get to watch them make the dumplings right in front of you. The service was fast and the prices were really cheap. I would definitely recommend coming here if you visit UVA!

If you are looking for something authentic, this is not the place for you. I came here for lunch when I was visiting UVA. I got fried dumplings, sesame noodles, and jianbing. The food was decent. The sauce was a bit too sweet. The jianbing was not good at all so I wouldn't recommend. The price is pretty cheap for the portion they have. This is not bad for a quick lunch.

Very very nice lady (owner) and very helpful with the menu. - I had the chicken Pho ($16.50). I added the 2 included Hoisin sauce packets. It also came with a Sriracha sauce packet and a small container of chili oil along with the normal variety of noodles, sprouts, fresh herbs, green onions, white onions, jalapeño slices, and a lime wedge. The chicken was tender sliced white meat with no fat, gristle, or bones attached. The broth had a lot of flavor and was delicious. - I also had the shrimp and chive dumplings ($7.00). Not a strong shrimp flavor, but they had a nice crisp on the outside and were tasty. The sauce that comes with the dumplings is absolutely delicious. - My wife had the Bulgogi beef ($14.50). She said it was tender and very delicious. It came with rice, kimchi, and cucumber salad. I just happened to speak to Linh about the cucumber salad and she said this is how she's always made it for her kids and they love it. Well, I'm with her kids and love it too. She makes the vinaigrette herself and it has an unexpected sweetness to it instead of the usual strong vinegar flavor. We both loved it. - We had the pork gyoza ($7.00). This was cooked my favorite way, deep fried (not pan fried). This took me back to the gyoza in Japan and the Yaki Mandu I used to get in Korea. Great crispy wrapper with a tender flavorful filling. And again, the sauce that came with it is some of the best I've had. - The kimchi is not overly spicy and has a slight sweetness to it. - The Egg Tarts ($5.50) are good, not overly sweet. Could use a bit more filling for a better filling to pie crust ratio. - I also got a Chai tea bubble milk ($6.25) that was super delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed Nguyen's Kitchen and will go back with friends. It's unfortunate that it sits behind a Taco Bell and is not highly noticeable from the road, otherwise I might have tried it sooner.

The wonton soup tasted extremely salty and looked dark as if someone put soy sauce in it. This is the first time in my entire life where I tasted bad wonton soup. The won ton itself was great. It was just the salty broth. I make this at home, and it is not that difficult to make. It is supposed to be a simple broth (partly the reason why I ordered it because I wanted something simple). I told them about the saltiness. They tried to make it right by bringing out another soup with a better broth. The pho was just okay but was not as fragrant as expected. I am Vietnamese and make this at home as well. Otherwise, it had everything it was supposed to have. The fried rice was a large portion and tasted better than the other two dishes. Overall, it was a good experience. The service was good. We got seated quickly. The ambiance and decor was vibrant. The bathrooms were clean. I will try other dishes later and update this review.
