Been consistently the best dumplings in town for 15 years! The service is also professional. Would recommend to anyone coming to or through Charlottesville!

Fried Pork Dumplings (7), Sesame Noodles, wonton soup

When my office was on 29 we would always order lunch from Marco & Lucas their dumplings are so good and if they are offering the wonton soup I'd definitely make sure to order it! Fresh baby bokchoy and wontons are amazing. I wasn't a huge fan of the cold noodles, I end up taking them home and doctoring them up myself. Great place for take out! Wish I worked closer I miss dumpling days.

The food came out quickly and was so good. We really enjoyed the fried dumplings and sesame balls - definitely would recommend getting those! We also liked the pork and veggie hot buns!

$12 combo. Chicken curry, rice, fried dumplings and a bun filled with meat.

Been here a few time and finally remembered to write a review. Pros: 1- affordable tasty food. 2- dumplings have the right about of crisp. 3- flavor profile is simple yet delicious Cons: 1- they didn't give me a spoon to eat with my rice. Overall I've been here 3-4 times. They have a very small menu but what they make is all tasty and relatively cheap. Their combo I got today was $12 and it filled me up. Will definitely come back every time I visit Charlottesville.

I got the fried pork dumplings and the hot pork bun. These were really cheap and inexpensive. This place is a little hole in the wall but serves delicious food! The food came out quick.

Food was delicious. The dumplings with the sauce was amazing!! The slight heat from the curry sauce was so good. Great value for $12

Food was amazing!! I could eat just the dumplings that were fried to perfection. $12 combo with curry chicken and a can soda.

Sweet & Sour & Sesame Noodles with Dumplings

The last time i was in Cville...i visited the corner store downtown...but because traffic is murder down that way my friend took me to this location. Marco & Luca...is exactly what it says dumplings....fried and served with a soy sauce and chili sauce. Convenience and affordability. If they told you that your paying $8.20 for 6 fried dumplings and a small container of cold sesame noodles or sweet and sour noodles...Perfect snack...filling and not over done. Although I will admit sometimes the dumplings are not as crispy but they still taste really good so that doesn't bother me to much. the sesame noodles do need a bit of something but they were still good. Overall...you go to marco and luca not for a meal but for a quick snack. It's a small menu but hey if you off a few good items who cares. The decor is a bit strange at this location but hey your there for dumplings not ambiance lol.

Every once in a while I get a craving for these things. Mostly, I think it's the sauce! They need to bottle that stuff!

Limited menu. Hot sour soup and fried pork dumplings were good. Pork bun dough tasted stale and had only a tiny bit of meat inside.

What are the hours?

I have no idea what the actual hours are. Online states they close at 8:30 Mon-Thur, but when I called today (a Thursday) they told me they were closed at 7:50ish. So I guess call ahead before assuming the online hours are accurate.

We were in town and let Yelp guide us and we were not disappointed. This is a small mostly to-go…read morerestaurant in a strip mall. There are 3 tables inside, so we chose to eat in. I chose the Vietnamese sandwich. It was so tasty. Bread was toasted and crispy and the mix of chicken, pickled cucumbers and fresh herbs were great. My daughter ordered the bulgogi beef rice plate (with kimchi on side) and a strawberry lemonade with strawberry popping boba. She loved both. Food comes out fast. Overall excellent!

Very very nice lady (owner) and very helpful with the menu. - I had the chicken Pho ($16.50). I added the 2 included Hoisin sauce packets. It also came with a Sriracha sauce packet and a small container of chili oil along with the normal variety of noodles, sprouts, fresh herbs, green onions, white onions, jalapeño slices, and a lime wedge. The chicken was tender sliced white meat with no fat, gristle, or bones attached. The broth had a lot of flavor and was delicious. - I also had the shrimp and chive dumplings ($7.00). Not a strong shrimp flavor, but they had a nice crisp on the outside and were tasty. The sauce that comes with the dumplings is absolutely delicious. - My wife had the Bulgogi beef ($14.50). She said it was tender and very delicious. It came with rice, kimchi, and cucumber salad. I just happened to speak to Linh about the cucumber salad and she said this is how she's always made it for her kids and they love it. Well, I'm with her kids and love it too. She makes the vinaigrette herself and it has an unexpected sweetness to it instead of the usual strong vinegar flavor. We both loved it. - We had the pork gyoza ($7.00). This was cooked my favorite way, deep fried (not pan fried). This took me back to the gyoza in Japan and the Yaki Mandu I used to get in Korea. Great crispy wrapper with a tender flavorful filling. And again, the sauce that came with it is some of the best I've had. - The kimchi is not overly spicy and has a slight sweetness to it. - The Egg Tarts ($5.50) are good, not overly sweet. Could use a bit more filling for a better filling to pie crust ratio. - I also got a Chai tea bubble milk ($6.25) that was super delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed Nguyen's Kitchen and will go back with friends. It's unfortunate that it sits behind a Taco Bell and is not highly noticeable from the road, otherwise I might have tried it sooner.

The wonton soup tasted extremely salty and looked dark as if someone put soy sauce in it. This is the first time in my entire life where I tasted bad wonton soup. The won ton itself was great. It was just the salty broth. I make this at home, and it is not that difficult to make. It is supposed to be a simple broth (partly the reason why I ordered it because I wanted something simple). I told them about the saltiness. They tried to make it right by bringing out another soup with a better broth. The pho was just okay but was not as fragrant as expected. I am Vietnamese and make this at home as well. Otherwise, it had everything it was supposed to have. The fried rice was a large portion and tasted better than the other two dishes. Overall, it was a good experience. The service was good. We got seated quickly. The ambiance and decor was vibrant. The bathrooms were clean. I will try other dishes later and update this review.

We were sat promptly as there was only one other table at the time there but once we were sat about 5 more tables came in. Our server brought waters to start and I had a Thai tea, which was good, not too sweet- which I like. I order the dumpling as an app, they're pretty small but you get a good amount and the sauce was really good. In order the red curry and my husband ordered the Thai fried rice. Both were really good. I liked his dish a bit more, it was very savory. The red curry had fresh vegetables in it and still had a nice crunch to it, which I like. If we're back in Charlottesville we'll def go back.
