Beijing Cafe is the best quickest Chinese for you can get in the North Beach, North Bay Village, Normandy area. They're noodles are good, my favorite are the Singapore noodles they have great heat and taste real good. Did i mention they are super fast??? this is primarily a takeout cafe. eating in is minimal. basically most dishes are well prepared- however the "egg rolls" are not good, and a total waste of money since they are small and not filled properly. they do cost more then ever. read more

I ordered a selection of ribs from the starter menu, along with House Special Fried Rice and Shrimp Fried Rice along with the Shredded Beef dish, all of which were really well cooked, my only exception is that the ribs were a little too dry although very tasty. The only negative is that the delivery was really slow and arrived 20 mins later than expected, other than that if you are close enough go and collect as the navigational skills of the delivery service leaves a lot to be desired. Not a bad little Chinese take away on North Beach and one that I would recommend, do not think about eating in, its not that kind of joint. read more

I was tiring of the Cuban cuisine I'd eaten all week so I thought I'd try out some local Chinese food. The restaurant was very small with only four tables. There is no buffet so you have to order larger portions. The food was served to us on cheap styrofoam plates and we were given plasticware to eat with. Point being: get it to go. The food tasted great. The crab wontons were a little chewy but the filling was good. The vegetable lo mein was wonderful and the sesame chicken tasted fresh. The portions were huge. I recommend splitting with a friend as I'm a big guy who loves to eat and didn't come close to finishing it. I would eat here again but only if I was getting it to go. read more

i ordered the fried tofu with sweet and sour sauce. i had fried shrimp and shrimp pieces all through my tofu. totally disgusting and dangerous! when i called about this i asked for a refund. i was told they could not give a refund only give me a free fried tofu meal the next time i come. very upsetting and disappointing. i won't be coming back. read more

I often wondered why there are few or no Chinese Take out places in the Miami area. They are very common up North (NY & NJ). There are sit down restaurants with take-out available but few geared to primarily take-out - not that this is important, just an observation. Back to the purpose of this review. Beijing Cafe is geared to order and take-out, either by yourself or they do deliver. They do have a few tables but this is geared to "bring it home and watch TV while you eat". They have a typical menu offering the common Chinese-American dishes, along with combination plates, both for lunch or dinner. One way to rate a restaurant is via the "Soup Method". If the soup is good, odds are the rest of the meal will be fine - otherwise watch out. I order the hot and spicy shredded beef dinner combo (curiously, it is called, properly, szechuan beef on the lunch combo menu). You have a choice of soup or egg roll - I always go for the hot and sour soup, along with pork fried rice. So I try the soup and it was excellent, so naturally, the rest of the meal also was very good. My soup rule has yet to fail. The beef dish was maybe a bit "new", by that I mean, very good, but perhaps a cooks first try which one would expect to improve with more experience. This restaurant is after all, only been in business for less then 3 months. The fried rice was very good - some places make this as a pale, unflavored rice but here it was of a deep amber color and very flavorful. My connubial mate had the orange chicken combo with an egg roll. I tried it and to my surprise it was not breaded and deep fried as is commonly done. Also, to my surprise, it was very good done this way - you can actually taste the chicken along with the orange flavor. I wish this place continued success - it fulfills my need for Chinese-American-NY-NJ style food. read more

Among the five Chinese places I have been to in North Beach, Beijing Cafe dishes out the most capable Chinese peasant food. It is fresh, tasty and relatively inexpensive. I order Szechuan chicken every time I go there and it is consistently satisfying. So is their hot and sour soup. Their potstickers are decent. The pork fried rice is tasty if a bit too greasy for my taste. The owners speak Mandarin Chinese, English, Cantonese, another Southern Chinese dialect and a little Spanish. It is mildly amusing to see the occasionally not-so-amicable interaction between the owners and the somewhat cute Latino delivery guy. read more

Amazing! My family and I were visiting from another State and became hungry late one night. We ordered shrimp fried rice and honey garlic wings. The orders were made to perfection. The wings were perfectly crispy and the rice had a wonderful flavor. We ordered again a few nights later and decided to get the jumbo sized shrimp fried rice. We received what looked like a bucket of shrimp fried rice for a little over 16 bucks. We are very impressed with Beijing China and will definitely order from here when we visit Miami again!
