I ordered takeout form here. My food was done with a reasonable time, and it was really good! The workers were nice, and I would order here again in the future! I ordered sausage, garlic, and onion pizza. It was delicious as usual. read more

Beggars Pizza - Médium sausage garlic and onion pizza - Pizza Near Me - Lansing, Illinois

Hello Beggars my old friend! You're still just as good as I remember! Or waiter was a very nice, attentive and professional young man, he made the experience just that much better! We ordered a medium sausage deep dish pizza and a small house salad. The salad was good and fresh. The pizza...YUM YUM YUM! Deep dish sausage checks all the right boxes, their crust is cornmeal based, it's both crispy and doughy, the sauce is not typical deep dish, it is more pureed than chunky and very flavorful (it's my favorite part), the cheese and sausage were fantastic. I can't wait to eat my left overs. I'm here from St. Louis, and Beggars is typical the first place I want to go. They even had a gentleman playing their super cool organ, what a treat! read more

Beggars Pizza - Sausage Deep Dish, sooooo gooood! - Pizza Near Me - Lansing, Illinois

I ordered pick up for wings online. I assumed that the blanked out option for a dipping sauce was a website error so I added a comment about it and asked that they provide blue cheese. When I arrived and the manger told me that if you get your wings anything but naked that a dipping sauce is extra. I've never heard of such a thing in even the stingiest restaurants. Tossed wings come with a dipping sauce is such a basic standard. I order here roughly once a month and have never heard of this change. I assume it has to do with nickel and dimeing their customers during a week long power outage to make an extra buck. Go to Rico's, better pizza and service, lose these disgusting vultures. read more

Kitchen was slow, food was decent, waitress was good. The other staff was rude. They wouldn't split the check up and rolled their eyes the whole time while we rounded up money. read more

The pizza is good enough..... It's the whole experience that makes it really nice when the organ is playing. The service is okay. The place is clean. They have parking. It's a good place to bring the family for a gathering. Again, the organ is what makes it but it's not every night. So check the schedule. read more

It's been a minute since I've ordered a Beggars Pizza for DELIVERY instead of PICK-UP. I questioned Ashley Beggars Pizza why I'm being charged $4.99 for DELIVERY , when I asked my delivery guy does that money goes towards him, and he stated it in fact goes to the house? Her response was that this common practice!!!! She couldn't even tell me what is it used for since I'm getting the SAME Cardboard Box I would get when I do pick up. I told her this is the 1st I'm hearing of this‼ Fortunately, I had the mindset to give him the $5 when he told me this, before I called Beggars! So essentially I PAID $10 deliver on a $26 Pizza. After nearly 25yrs patronizing this establishment... it's time to move on!! read more

What an absolute disappointment. $40 for a family pizza with a few toppings and completely underwhelming. Whatever happened to "we lay it on thick"? Crust was too thin and weirdly chewy not crisp whatsoever. Complete and absolute lack of cheese. They used to put enough cheese and toppings that you would worry about getting the pizza home without all the toppings sliding off. Unfortunately, not anymore. I've seen more cheese on a trash frozen pizza. read more

My first experience with Beggar's Pizza, and it was perfect. A friend who lives in Lansing had recommended Beggars several years ago and I just hadn't gotten around to trying it yet. But I'm working in Hammond, my hotel isn't far from Beggars so I decided to give it a try. I ordered online for pickup, and my pizza was ready at the quoted time. Parking was easy, at the side of the building. The carry out entrance is at the rear of the building. I ordered a small deep dish with red onions and mushroom. I had considered ordering extra sauce and extra cheese because some of the reviews had mentioned that the cheese and sauce were skimpy. But there was no need to order extra, there was a generous amount of both cheese and sauce. My pizza was delicious. It was perfectly baked- neither too light nor too dark. And I am very picky about my pizza "bake." While I ordered my pizza for carry out, this would be a fun place to dine it. The building is very unique and would offer a nice atmosphere to enjoy a meal. When I picked up my pizza the employees were very friendly. It appeared that they were doing a brisk carry out business. Very happy with my experience here. read more

Pizza was delicious, our server was attentive, but the star of the show is the organ! Check the website to see which nights it is playing. Can't get better atmosphere than that! read more

I love Beggars Pizza. My grandma loves their crispy wings. I also love their gluten free pizza crust. read more

This was suggested to us and I'm happy we gave it a shot. The pizza was really good although I preferred by far the cheese over the sausage/mushroom. My wife had the gluten free, which she liked but she wasn't a fan of the ham on top. My only gripe is this place is quite a bit more than others so this will be a once-in-a-while treat for us. read more

How can a family owned business and franchise be different? Same name, same business model, same ingredients etc... and differ with honoring the military discount at this location? When I asked if they honor my military discount I was told no!!! I asked why, and I was told "we don't honor military discount" because we are family owned. I have been to many Beggars and never heard of this. I will definitely never go back to Beggars in Munster nor recommend it to anyone!!! read more

The service is terrible. We waited 20 minutes for someone to approach us. No water no nothing when we came in. Someone came right in and was serviced right away. Unacceptable. Needs help with service. Food at beggars is always amazing. Just would not advise this particular location. read more

My favorite location. You still get a bit of the old theater vibe. I'm a Big Cheese rewards member which offers great perks. The food is always fresh. You can order online and the order is ready down to the minute it's promised. Delivery times is pretty accurate also. The staff is very friendly and get you in and out when doing a pick up. The waitresses are very attentive also. read more

Beggars Pizza - Outside - Pizza Near Me - Lansing, Illinois

I purchased a small deep; sausage, green peppers and onions pizza on Thursday, August 01. Upon the second evening of having pizza, I noticed something eerie, blackish baked in pizza. This was neither mushrooms nor spinach. I took the pizza back to Lansing location; spoke to an unapologetic manager, without calling Friday night due to anguish and horror of the find. Several minutes went passed as he diagnosed the reasoning of the disgusted crap still embedded in the pizza, along with the slice I was eating, when he determined it was caramelized onions and prior customer had same experience. read more

By far my favorite pizza in the area. The thin crust with sausage is some of the best pizza ever. That is my go to order. The restaurant is in an old movie theater which is really cool. I have never eaten inside but it looks clean and bright. read more

I live in Jacksonville Florida and my mom lives in Lansing Illinois... we were talking today and she was telling me about this wonderful pizza. We both love pizza so much but here on Florida it can be difficult to find a good pizza. I wanted to treat her to something special with it being Valentine's Day so I called and ordered her favorite pizza. The young lady on the phone was kind and professional! Thank you for helping me make my moms Valentine's Day special from 1000 miles away. Pizza looks delish and she said it was amazing. read more

Pretty good would definitely recommend. Got a pepperoni pizza on Friday and it was great.

We ordered two person pan thin crust with 4 toppings each and they were worth the delivery fee. The pizza was still warm but crust was still crispy not soggy the toppings were fresh and delicious. I will definitely order again. read more

Oh, Beggars. You leave me so conflicted. On the one hand, they sell what is my absolute favorite pizza in Lansing. Their motto is "We lay it on thick", and boy that's the truth. I love getting just a basic pepperoni from here, because even if you don't order extra cheese, it feels like you did. There's SO MUCH OF IT, and that's a great change of pace from the scant toppings of rival chains in the area. On the other hand, holy wow are they overpriced. Their mozzarella sticks are super delicious, but I can't even afford to get them every time I order. Over $6 for an order? I can get them for 4 or 5 at other pizza places on the same street. Their sandwiches are overpriced too. The Chicken Italiano sandwich is pretty good, but it's pretty average for the $8, especially since it doesn't even come with fries. You have to order those as a separate add-on. The service is also hit and miss. Sometimes the people are the nicest, sweetest people who seem so genuinely happy to see you or hear from you (even though I'm sure that's not the case). Sometimes they act like you're committing a heinous crime by daring to order food. There's one girl that answers the phone often when we call that always seems irritated and hurried. I'd come here for the pizza, whether you get deep dish or thin crust it's going to be delicious. But if you're thinking about getting other menu items, I'd go elsewhere. And don't be offended if the girl on the phone is pissy with you; I don't think it's personal. If you dine in, some nights there's live organ music which depending on your stance on the matter can be a lovely treat or a night to avoid. read more

The food is always fresh, love the take out service, staff is always efficient and friendly. Definitely a good choice.

Kind of disappointed for almost paying $40 for a pizza that barely has any cheese. Also they barely added any pepperoni. I prefer getting Rico's Pizza. Better ingredients and better price. No cap. read more

Beggars Pizza - I guess they don't lay it on thick anymore. What's with the layer of cheese? - Pizza Near Me - Lansing, Illinois

Best Pizza EVER! I absolutely love the seasoning, the breading, and the toppings! Definitely a Chicago must have!

This establishment was not family friendly. They tried to move me around after I was seated and lie to me about needing my table. It was a hot mess. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone trying to go out and have a nice slice of pizza on a Saturday night. read more

Beggars Pizza - Inside - Pizza Near Me - Lansing, Illinois

This used to be my go to spot in the area for pizza but in the last six months I've ordered pizza three times once it was delivered to the wrong spot and two times I've had to call because it's been more than 15 minutes after meant to be delivered and my pizza is still at the store.. I prefer to support local places so I tried again this afternoon pizza was supposed to be here at 3:12 I called around 330 and they said it was still there and they were waiting on a driver but they didn't know when they would have a driver back.. I asked to speak to the manager because this is completely ridiculous and I spoke with a woman named Jessica and not only was she completely unhelpful she was very rude so know this before ordering a pizza read more

Once a month we meet with some of our friends at a restaurant this time we chose the Beggars and Lansing not because of the pizza which is good I don't eat cheese but I've had cheese pizza from Beggars many times but because between 630 and 830 on Friday night This 1927 theater has an Oregon that covers one entire wall. An old pipe organ and the organist comes out sits down at the Oregon which then rises up out of the ground and plays this organ and takes request. It's a great experience and something you should take your kids to Friday night I had a green salad with grilled chicken and my choice of dressings and it was terrific. Everybody else was very happy with the peaches they ordered. They also have a cauliflower flower crust for those people that don't want to eat gluten this is an easy five star and I can't understand why it would have a three star rating on this site because it's a great place. read more
