Making an appointment was easy over the phone, and our manicurists were very skilled. My friend and I went here for mani/pedis. I got the regular combo and my friend had shellac. Both sets turned out great! The salon was clean, there is a good selection of colors, and the prices are reasonable. We did not feel rushed, and my friend even upgraded our scheduled type of service to shellac for her, and they accomodated after checking the other appointments. Everyone working was very friendly and helpful. Camilla did my nails and was thorough, detail-oriented, but also efficient. I especially appreciate that my manicure was close to my cuticles, as it has lasted longer. She refused to acknowledge me when I was trying to ask if it was the right package. Then once we did finally get their attention she blamed me and said that this one was better anyways - which it was not. She barely looked at my feet through out the pedicure, either stopping to talk to her friend next to her or staring out the window. Then I got the worst manicure. I sat on an uncomfortable stool and it was 8 mins. Looked horrible because she was posted I complained about the pedicure. ridiculous. Like Tiahna P., I really wanted to like this place as it came highly recommended from a mom's group that I'm in. So to be fair, my critique is based more upon my criteria for what makes up a quality salon (i.e. - some go for JUST the quality of the job, some go for the experience and ambiance). I fall somewhere in between the job done and the ambiance, but most importantly, the cleanliness of the salon and its equipment. This is where I feel BeeQ fell short. The towels used were worn, torn up, and/or stained. The pedi chair's jet components could have used a thorough cleaning. I also didn't see an UV sterilzer for the tools used, so this leads me to believe that they don't sterilize in between customers (luckily, I was the first one for the day). As for the job, my technician appeared to be new which was disappointing as I wasn't informed of this or offered a lower price. I wouldn't be nitpicky about this but she cut my cuticles too low (I bled) and my nails were cut a tad too short (almost flush against my nail beds). There were about 2-3 nails that had imperfections on them as well but I was in a rush and didn't notice until I got home. I did, however, appreciate Sarah's time and effort to help me achieve the look I was going for. I have never experienced that level of care and attention when it came to nail designs, so for that, BeeQ deserves 5 stars. read more

A traditional mani-pedi is $47 and well worth it. Fabulous service. Nice staff. They take their time doing your pedicure and manicure. They didn't have a manicure table for me to sit next to my mom, so they did my mani in the chair during the pedi and they were apologetic about it. Unfortunately, I have to say that the service at this place is subpar. It seems like there's a lack of organization and communication, as they tend to overbook and have issues with their scheduling system. I've personally witnessed Tina taking in other customers ahead of me, even hours after my scheduled appointment time. It's frustrating to see her accommodating people who aren't even on the schedule while disregarding those who have been waiting patiently. Also Tina, and others, laughed at me when I asked when I would be going and expressed frustration. On the bright side, the owner and the man at the counter are both really friendly and helpful. I love beeq, I've never had an issue here before. However, I usually only go to the salon on church street. This was my first time at the salon on stadium boulevard as the church st location was booked. I had an appointment Wednesday at 3pm. I have no complaints for my experience inside the salon. It was clean, the staff was extremely nice and my nails looked great. However, by the end of the day I had noticed my nails had begun to peel. I got a regular shellac manicure like I always do and this has never happened. Woke up the next morning to see the majority of my nails were on the verge of peeling or had peeled. I was very upset about this as I got shellac to last long and I have a flight today. I have not had time to go into beeq to get these fixed as I've had midterms and was working at the hospital all day Friday. I am not sure what could have happened during my appointment to make my shellac nails not stay on. I am very upset as I now have had two nails peel off and had to put fake stick ons as I don't want chipped nails on my vacation. I did not pay 40$ for a shellac manicure to have had to put two fake nails on my hands a day after my appointment. This is a total shame as I love beeq and am a very loyal customer at the church st location and thought I'd give the stadium location a try. I will not be returning to stadium sadly as I am very upset with my nail experience. read more

My girlfriend went here yesterday for a manicure and pedicure and here's what she had to say: this place is great! I searched around a little and ultimately settled on going to BeeQ spa because of the good reviews, price, and availability. I easily booked an appointment online for the following evening. When I showed up, my nail technician was prompt and ready for me. Overall the spa is well decorated and appears very clean (various employees were continually sweeping and cleaning equipment throughout my visit). They have many traditional and no-chip colors to choose from. The pedicure chairs are comfortable massage chairs and, most importantly, the pedicure tub is very clean. Each tub is wrapped with a clean plastic liner before each guest, and new instruments are used each time. The basic pedicure was $30 and included soaking, nail/cuticle/callus care, a foot/leg scrub, and a warm towel prior to an excellent polish--overall a great deal! You can of course spend more for more involved pedicures if you choose. After that I moved on to a no-chip manicure, which was excellent. She even took the time to apply a 3rd coat of color polish to all my fingers to hide a ridge I have in one of my nails. The no-chip manicure was $30, and a regular manicure is a good deal at $25. Finally, I was pleasantly surprised that I could put my tip on my credit card. I frequently run into issues of not having enough cash for a tip at a nail salon, and receiving an eye roll or loud sigh if I ask to put it on my credit card. Not a problem here! I've been a customer here for a long time and the quality of work is extremely high. The salon is extremely clean. Prices are fair for the quality. I like the appointment system and I've never had to wait super long for service. The color selection for regular polish could be expanded. Overall I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. However, professionalism seems to be a problem here. As a customer, I feel like I've always been treated kindly and with respect; it's the interactions between employees that bother me. Almost every time I went here, there were staff gossiping about other staff members right in front of customers. The past several times I've visited, I've overheard racist remarks from multiple white employees towards the asian staff. That is where I draw the line. I love the work that is done here and I want to love this place but I can't spend my money here knowing that those things are being said. I haven't been back for this reason. read more

Look, this place is just ok, beautiful decor, lovely staff for the MOST PART. I had an ingrown toenail surgery in FEBRUARY and got clearance from my doctor that I could get a pedicure and so I did. However the first red flag, "I can't do shellac I have to remain on my schedule". If I book an appointment for a specific polish I kinda want that done. Whatever, I did regular and got what I needed to do. I asked her to be gentle on my toes and that was ignored. One week later, I notice pain in the back of my toe and guess what? My toe nail PEELED UP from my SKIN, whatever it's one toe it's probably a fluke. THEN it happened to my other toe the following week. I now have 2/3rds of a toe nail and the sensitive bed of my nail is now exposed and hurts. The service in itself isn't all bad, ultimately it's the result of my toes now being in pain that I would not recommend this place read more

Horrible customer service. This was my first visit; I scheduled an appointment to get my nails done for my engagement shoot after reading the reviews online, but left after no one attended to me. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment, was told to pick out a color and take a seat. The receptionist did help me pick out a color, but didn't bother asking much about whether or not I had an appointment, or give me a heads up about the wait time. After picking my color, I was pretty much ignored for 15 minutes, while 3 nail technicians worked on other customers and the receptionist just chatted with another customer. After waiting unattended for 15 minutes, I asked if anyone was going to be available soon since my appointment was supposed to start 10 minutes ago. All I got from the receptionist was "you can cancel or reschedule", not even an apology or an attempt to explain the situation. One of the nail technicians who I assume was supposed to be my artist overheard and started apologizing to me. She went on to explain that she was overbooked, didn't even get a break the whole day, that she did her best to catch up, and that she could start on me if I waited another 15 minutes. That would have been a 25-minute wait from my original appointment time. She was quite sincere about the apology, and I understand that as a nail technician / employee, she probably could not do anything about the reservation system, but I'm still giving this place 1 star because I don't understand what the point of an online scheduling system is if the place is going to be overbooked anyway. I also did not appreciate the receptionist just telling me to cancel or reschedule without any explanation or heads up about the wait time. read more

I've been going to BeeQ since they opened and have recommended them several times to friends and family. Unfortunately over the past 6 months or so, my experiences there have become so poor that I've finally decided to find another salon. Moreso than the quality of the service (which is variable based on the person), I've grown tired of how unprofessional the staff is. A few visits ago, two staff sat in pedicure chairs on either side of me and yelled across me about what bar they were going out to that night. More recently, the staff were yelling across the salon about their holiday plans. On top of that, I've noticed the cleanliness of the salon has gone downhill - lots of piles of supplies and random furnishings around, ripped towels, and dusty corners. The owner seems very sweet and provides good service. I wish she would instill the same in her staff. read more

Very excited to find BeeqQspa! Was able to get in for a last minute pedicure with CC. I seldom, as in maybe once a year, get pedicures because I am extremely sensitive and it tickles too badly. I want to like this place, I really do. I live walking distance away and I would love for this to be my regular spot. Unfortunately, it seems that the shop is always frazzled and my nails never last. Usually when I come in, there's people waiting, which gives me a good sign that they're in demand. But they don't manage it very well. I've seen someone with an appointment have to wait because the stylist took someone on 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment. I've seen them struggle with issues of a refund amount. My stylist got up to handle the long problem during my session, leaving acetone clips in my fingers. I've seen them tell someone they can't service them because they have too many clients, yet work on them during drying times or rinse times. I've have my nails for a week now, but I've got some serious chipping on 3 of my nails. My roommate has also had problems with nails from BeeQ chipping. I don't have this problem in other places. I'm not sure if they paint it too thick or what, but it seems to be a characteristic problem. I've tried them a couple times, and I may come back since I live so close by, but I will continue my search for a salon I'll be a regular at. read more

Wow. Finally. I've been looking for a salon substitute since I moved to AA from LA in September. It's difficult for me to even pontificate how happy I am with every service I received. Hallie did my toenails and gave me a jelly pedicure, she was perfect and so sweet and interesting to talk to. Ona did my fingernails and even helped me pick out the most perfect gel color (I am very indecisive). Their massage chairs were also so new and modern. I then decided to wax my eyebrows last minute and even though they were already closed, the owner said she would be more than happy to do so. She used a special hardening wax that was so soft on my skin and painless. I recommend this salon 100%. read more
