    At the salon on Saturday

It's unfortunate that Yelp doesn't allow an option to leave a zero star review. I found CP Nails when I was on a time crunch and needed a manicure during my lunch hour at work, and the first few trips my nails turned out great and I was convinced I'd never go anywhere else. I had even been previously recommending them to my friends over the last few months. Unfortunately I will now be doing the opposite. I went to CP Nails on Saturday for a pedicure in an attempt to relax after a long week. During my pedicure my technician made me bleed not one, but twice - even after I had asked her multiple times to lay off my cuticles so that I wouldn't get an infection. Lo and behold, my toe continues to turn increasingly red in the few days that followed, to the point that I now had to go to a doctor to have it lanced, and am on 2,000 mg of antibiotics (500 mg 4x a day) in an attempt to lessen the infection. Shit happens and I understand that, but where they really lost me was when I called in to discuss the fact that I've now had to pay for doctor's visits, medications, all directly correlated to the services they've provided and when I asked for a refund for the service - they refused, told me that maybe I was confused and that maybe I had actualy gotten them done elsewhere, and then told me that I'd have to come in (even designating what TIME I should make a trip out of my way over there to show them my foot in real life). I'm sure they're very busy, and I've been inconvenienced more than enough by now, so I figured it's probably more convenient for both parties if I just post the photos from my week here.

Got a mani-pedi here for my wedding and it was the best experience! My nail turned out exactly the way I wanted! The price was very reasonable! $40 for mani-pedi with $5 for detailing. Everyone were super friendly and professional! Highly recommend here!

I came in for the first time today for a shellac manicure and eyebrow wax. My experience was pretty mediocre. I got a "dragon eye" (#9) gel mani and the girl who helped me didn't talk to me at all. Not even a hello. Just kept her head down and did her job. Which was okay, I don't like to talk a whole lot but a "thank you" or a "hi/bye" would have been cool, especially since I did try to be polite with her. Maybe it was a language barrier, though. As for the eyebrow wax, I was a bit concerned because she didn't even replace the table's paper covering which had clearly been used before I got there (there was a rip and mud stains on it from someone's shoes...). Then the second I laid down, she began putting the wax on. No alcohol or cleaning the area, no powder before/after. Just wax. That's it. My total was $40 even. Personally, I won't be coming here again. The customer service was far below par, and I feel like I can get more bang for my buck somewhere else.

Absolutely loved the way the woman did my nails! She did the perfect coffin nail, which most techs mess up! She was kind enough to not charge the additional $5 for the 5 different colors. Will definitely come back again before my graduation. I paid $52 total that includes tip, which is standard. Thank you CP Nails!

Their new color-changing magnetic polish is DOPE!

CK Nails has never disappointed! Although it's a smaller salon, their work is always quality. It's close to UofM's campus, which is a convenient short drive for me. They stayed after hours on my last visit when I came in with a severely broken natural nail that took a bit longer than anticipated to repair... But they fixed it and gave me back the function of my dominant hand's thumb!! :) Not only that, but I received a fabulous manicure with their new magnetic color-changing (with temperature) polish. They're stepping up their game in terms of what they offer polish-wise, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Thank you, CK!

This place is actually called Ann Arbor Nails. I have never given one star to a nail salon. The massage part of pedicure was nice, but there were 3-4 people doing different parts of service so weirdly disjointed service. They forgot the top coat so I asked them and they claimed they already did it(same thing happened to my friend next to me). I have NEVER in my life seen them put on nail polish so fast. You can see how poorly the top layer is put on. Photo is from day 2.

Trying & testing a new nail space is never an easy move, will they know what to do? will they cut your cuticles too far back? what sets this spot apart? No worries here ! outside of the weird smell and somewhat lame decor. I was welcomed with warm smiles, i had called to make an appointment ( which gives you $5 discount) for my mani and pedi ... i brought in a photo from pintrest to see if they would be able to accommodate my Halloween style of matte black nails with shinny tips. THEY WERE !! these technicians knew what they were doing !! successfully....!! Look at the photo posted It was reasonably priced, and for checking in on Facebook you get $5 off in November ! They have parafain wax for smoothing soft hands/feet - thats cool!

Eh. French manicure was squiggly/had errors and the base was way too clear (you could see everything on my actual nail). Didnt look good
    Steph M.

The french mani I got done was squiggly/had errors, and the base was so clear u could see everything underneath. Also has air bubbles in the base that are pretty noticeable. Removal of my previous gel nails was done aggressively, causing pain and weakened my nails (soaking them in acetone is a better way to remove them than ripping them off in terms of avoiding damaged nails). Cuticles dont get touched up unless you pay an extra fee, which is something usually included at other salons I've been to. Definitely feel like I wasted $45 for a mediocre gel mani I'm stuck with for 2 weeks. That being said, Tracy is great. If you come here definitely make sure to see only her.

I love my nails! I recommend working with Tina. She is patient, clean, gentle and professional. She took her time and made sure I was satisfied with my manicure. The nail salon is clean and employees are friendly. This was my first visit and I enjoyed it.

Annie did my gel manicure and did a great job! She paid attention to detail and was thorough.

My mom and I took a girls day and got our nails done. I've gotten my nails done enough to know how they're supposed to look and my nails don't look good.. I was so excited to get my nails done in this dark blue, but they did t have the blue I wanted so I had to change the color. My moms nails look fine but mine are all lifted and it looks really bad.. not only that but they aren't the cheapest nails ever.. I could've gone to Monroe and gotten then done for half the price and they would look a lot better

Everything looked enticing, from the herbal soaks to the massages. I decided on a massage and waited anxiously for my appointment. Tucked away in a place that you could miss if you didn't know to look for it, the simple and luxurious interior was a world away from the busy street that it sits on. I was warmly welcomed when I walked in and quickly slipped off my boots and into some comfy slide sandals. After a quick intake, my masseuse allowed me to slip under the drape onto the toasty table. I made an appointment at Jessica's Apothecary and had a great experience. Booking online was super easy. Checking in with smooth, and I appreciated the cozy environment and waiting area. She also takes great care to provide a clean and hygienic experience as well. The shop itself is small but beautiful and she stocks great brow, makeup, supplements, and other products. Her own line of brow gel is great! It is on the higher end of pricing for brow shaping, but I do believe the price reflects the whole experience she creates.
