I could do without the name of this place, but other than that it's a pretty decently run little restaurant. I've been here a few times, and the food has always been good and the staff has always been attentive to me. The name just bothers me. A name with "beef" in it should be a restaurant that focuses on beef... like a steak, or burger place. They do sell burgers, but their feature seems to be wings, and there's too much chicken and seafood on the menu to be a "beef" focused restaurant. I could look by that if it weren't for the 2nd part of the name "O Bradys". Irish of course, But other than the use of green in the decor, the place didn't seem to be all that Irish to me. The menu reflects a typical American bar, not anything unique to Ireland. Still, I like the food and the service, and I like to go there... so four stars it is. Terrible service the servers have to take on too many tables with big parties. They have NO IDEA how to cook a steak. They should just remove it from the menu. Brought medium rare steaks to my husband and I (we ordered medium well) and it took 3 tries to get them semi-right. The manager couldn't be bothered to stay at our table longer than 3 secs each time he dropped off the new steaks to talk about the screw ups. read more

My family and I was in a lacrosse tournament across the street and figured we would go over and get a drink. We sat down and waited for someone to come to our table.It was not busy and we waited maybe 7 minutes . The waitress came and Her name was Mya. She asked us what can I get you. Not really a welcoming greeting but, we were hot and,thirsty. She walked by our table and her hygiene was not the best. So We didn't order food because I already got a bad impression.. One line summary: Typical mediocre food scene in HIlliard, so pass it over and save some money. Food: Ordered a milk shake and their land, air, and sea basket. Milk shake was unimpressive, tasted like milk, Hersey's syrup and a scoop of vanilla put into a blender and definitely not worth $4. The group appetizer was $16 and was bland. The hamburger in the sliders wasn't seasoned, the buns were greasy, the batter on the popcorn chicken and shrimp was heavy and bland. The honey mustard and cocktail sauce wasn't my preference either. Service: Charmless and minimalistic. Atmosphere: It's a pub. TVs and noise. It's not Irish but it could be fun if the food and service was better. If it was full, It's be way too loud to enjoy though. Bottom line: Nothing exciting here, so keep driving. read more

Report Card: Beef O'Brady's Overall GrubGrade B The Breakdown: Atmosphere: Grade B-: Well, we missed the turn for the Beef O'Brady's parking lot, but that has more to do with my horrible sense of direction and a really damn slow navigation program. Beef's looks pretty nondescript from the outside, and on the inside Beef O'Brady's looks like exactly what it is - a sports bar. Lots of big flat screen televisions and OSU memorabilia adorn the walls, but that's pretty much the case with every sports bar located in and around Columbus. The B- score comes from the high noise level, which normally is to be expected in this type of establishment, but not one that is pretty much empty, like Beef O'Brady's was during our visit. The tables are spaced nicely, but the seats are fairly uncomfortable. Add to that the fact that there were a plethora of menus on our table, and all of those were really sticky, which makes us wonder a little bit about the hygiene of the place. High marks: Straightforward décor, good table spacing Low marks: Nothing really unique, sticky menus, uncomfortable seats Service: Grade B-: We really don't like being served by committee. A good service to us means the same person takes care of our needs from start to finish. We don't mind if runners bring the food to us, as long as our server accompanies them. The server's name on our receipt is Steven, but we were served by no fewer than 3 different servers. All of them did an okay job, although the service wasn't really engaging. The B- score, however, reflects a mistake (albeit small and quickly corrected) made with Katina's order. We ordered our food pretty much straight up with very few tweaks (which is rare, especially for Katina), and the joint was far from jumping, so there was really no excuse for any mistakes. High marks: Okay service Low marks: Not engaging, multiple servers, less than perfect accuracy Food/Spirits: Grade B: We started with a Whole Lotta Steak Nachos for our appetizer. While it didn't seem to have near the amount of steak on as the menu picture suggested it would, it was still delicious. These were probably the most "American" tasting nachos we've ever had. The tortilla chips were nice and crispy, the steak was tender, and the use of a little bit of cheese sauce and shredded cheese instead of dousing the whole pile in cheese sauce kept everything nice and crisp. These nachos were better than most nachos we've gotten and Mexican restaurants. Katina opted for the Signature Sangria to drink, and I chose a Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold for my drink. The sangria was pretty good (not the best we've had) and was very fruity with some blackberry dominance. I've reviewed the Dortmunder Gold before, and I still enjoy the thick texture and hint of spiciness. I was just a touch disappointed with the beer selection at Beef O'Brady's. It seemed a bit anemic, but the beer menu was so confusing that there was a good chance that I just missed half the selections. Katina ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with onion rings instead of fries (she got fries delivered to her, hence the aforementioned mistake, but was quickly presented with a plate of onion rings). The pork was nice and tender and the sandwiched was dressed with Sweet Baby Ray's barbeque sauce, which is one of Katina's favorites. We were impressed with high quality, lean pork on the sandwich. I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich with fries. We'll start by saying the fries may have been the most perfectly cooked fries we've had - they were scrumptious (Katina even ate some of the fries she received in error, which is like buying a dress, wearing it once, then returning it to the store the next day). The Prime Rib sandwich was probably the driest, greasy sandwich I've ever eaten. There was supposed to be a creamy horseradish sauce and brie cheese on the sandwich, but I am almost 100% convinced those ingredients were left off. I mean how can you miss the taste of horseradish - it's a dominating flavor. Thank god for the au jus or the sandwich would have been difficult to choke down. Overall, it was pretty good, but I don't think it was quite the way it was supposed to be. High marks: Great nachos, really good pulled pork, phenomenal fries Low marks: Prime Rib sandwich didn't live up to the hype Value: Grade B: Two or three drinks, and appetizer, and a couple of decent sized sandwiches took us just north of the $50 mark. Not too bad. We left satisfied, but there was definitely not enough left over for doggie bags, so portion size was good but we wouldn't call it generous. Beef O'Brady's is definitely a nice place to eat if you looking for some pretty decent bar/pub style food. Make sure you stop by if you can navigate that stupid round-about in Hilliard read more

Beef O'Brady's is very convenient to our home. We like the food, service and prices. We enjoy watching the NFL Pittsburgh Steelers games that are not on TV at home. Sometimes we can watch two or three games that we have an interest in at the same time. Today we hope to watch the Steelers and the Browns / Cincinnati and the Ratbirds. Go Steelers! Have gone to Beef's often and for a number of years...both here and in Florida. Went there in the afternoon 2 days ago. I ordered a wing basket. It was OK as I had expected. I asked for curly fries which I have ordered with wings for years. No longer available. I was told that this was a corporate decision. Disappointing. My wife ordered a half rack of ribs and when delivered to our table was so tough we could hardly cut it with a steak knife. We sent it back and ordered something else. Sports TVs were so loud that we couldn't talk and be heard at our table. Won't be back anytime soon. read more

About once a year we give this place another chance since it is close and local. And without fail we are disappointed. First off, it took us almost 5 minutes to be seated in a partially empty restaurant. The two servers leaning against the kitchen door frame must not have seen us. I get that. Turns out it's someone else's job to seat people. When we were seated the server in our section was frantically running around with another table. The two servers leaning must not have this section. Hooray, 13 minutes after being seated we were finally greeted by our server. We decided to order all of our food and drinks at that time because who knows when we will see her again. 2 TALL draft beers. She comes back empty handed and informed us that they ran out of tall beers but we can have short ones. It"s ok, stuff happens and having an appropriate amount of glassware in a half empty restaurant can be a mathematical nightmare. So on to the food in order of arriving. 1. Our to go order for our son at baseball. 2. Our entrees. 3. Our plates and silverware. I know, you think i am being hyper-critical but we're talking many minutes between each item and not a rapid succession of one right after the other. I was going to continue with review but feel like this is enough and you guys can assume the rest. Food bad, service bad, still overpriced. One of the worst meals we have had. Wings were over cooked and dry. Broccoli cheese soup tasted just like condensed...pretty sure it was with just shredded cheese added. My prime beef sandwich was so greasy that's all I could taste and full of fat. My husbands burger was clearly just a pre-made frozen patty and the bacon chewy. Service was pretty sub par as well. Went there on our lunch hour. Service was extremely shoddy. The waitress took forever. Brought out my dish without my specifications (No cheese- really, not that hard), then said, "sorry." Nearly 20 mins later, the manager came out with my dish without cheese, AFTER we were finished with our meal. Also, never brought a requested side for the other guest.
