It is well known that Beecher's has the best mac and cheese. I've eaten it on multiple occasions, though never at this location. I love that the 8 oz cup of mac is just the right amount to fill me up without being too much! The service at the Bellevue Square Beecher's was very good. Were I in the area again and seeking mac and cheese, this is where I'd go. read more

I love cheese and I love Beecher's, this store is located where cafe intelligentsia used to be at Bellevue Square mall. Here you can enjoy delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, soups, espresso drinks and their signature Beecher's Mac & Cheese, no need to go all the way to Pike Market, however you won't get the total Beecher's experience at this location, no cheese making here! Good yummy food, but their sandwiches take forever! And a bit overpriced for what it is imo

After working in Bellevue on and off for almost two decades and seeing their place in the mall a lot of times but never trying them, I finally tried them yesterday. I used to go to McDonald's(now closed) at Bellevue Sq or Panda Express both for meat, but I decided I wanted mac & cheese. Their macaroni wasn't macaroni. It was more like large penne. The cheese wasn't great since it was soft like velveeta. The sell a lot of really good cheeses, but they don't use them on their mac & cheese. It was $10 with tip for an 8 oz disappointment. My friend had their new sausage mac & cheese. I had a piece of the sausage, and their sausage was pretty bland and the casing pretty tought. read more

As I was in Bellevue Square, I wanted to get a cookie for a snack and thought I would go to Specialty Bakery, oh wait....its a Beecher's Cheese now. So I guess Ill be ordering a grilled cheese and a mac & cheese cup. As always, it is delicious!!! Mac & Cheese is very good, awesome they serve it with penne pasta, their signature cheese is super tasty along with their jack cheeses. Same thing with their grilled cheese sandwich, I believe it's the same cheeses. It's super toasty and hot, super melty and ooozing from all the right spots. Sandwich is pretty good size for sharing so it was enough to hold us over for about an hour. Set up for the line may be a bit confusing, you can order your coffee drink while you are waiting in line before you pay because you approach the barista before you get to the cashier to place your food order, but your coffee is over here, but your food is over there..... wait are you only getting a grab & go item because you can pay over here, if not you will have to stay in the regular line..............Huh? Whuuu? Anyways, Beecher's Cheese is pretty awesome and tasty! Staff there was pretty nice, the manager guy will periodically make a PSA announcement about themselves, so stay tuned for that. read more

I tried the Smoked Turkey grilled sandwich as well as their mac and cheese. Sharing the two items actually makes for a pretty rich lunch (or at least a very heavy snack). The sandwich was just alright and could definitely use more meat and tomato. It was very cheesy, but the turkey was sliced pretty thin. I barely noticed it except for its slight smoky flavor and tasted mainly the bread and cheese. I did enjoy how although toasted, the bread is not brushed with oil/butter so it's not all greasy on the outside. The mac and cheese was okay but didn't find it special enough to be called "world's best". The sauce was not smooth as expected and seemed pasty / somewhat gritty. It was also quite salty. The price is very steep at $5.50 for an 8 oz. cup. They do have one of the most extensive grab and go sections I have seen for a cafe which is filled with sandwiches / wraps, salads, cheese curds, cheese plates, etc. Ellenos yogurt is also featured. To the right, there are cheese samples available in addition to their large cheese display. read more

I ordered an 8 oz and 16 oz to share among 3 people (we LOVE mac and cheese) and it was very filling! I had seen the location at Pikes Place but haven't been in that one, though it's on my list! So i was super happy to find this location in the mall while i was shopping around! I wondered is the quality going to be the same, am i really getting the same cheese experience in this mall as if I go to Seattle??? YES. The mac and cheese was so good! Cheesy, like genuinely cheesy, creamy, sharp quality cheese. I had this 2 months ago and I'm still thinking about it, its definitely time i make a quick trip just for more mac and cheese! read more

I love Beecher's, and was sooo happy that they opened one in Bellevue. It's one of the best places to eat at in Bell Square, but, seating is really limited hence the four stars instead of five. The food, by far, is five-star worthy. It's called World's Best Mac and Cheese because it really is. I'm not even a huge mac and cheese fan, but I will eat Beecher's Mac and Cheese any day. Also, their hot sandwiches are very good, especially the ones with Beecher's cheese! (My favorite is the Turkey and Cheese with tomato.) There are to-go items like salads, sandwiches and cheese plates, but in order to look at the to-go items, you have to basically hop in line to see them because the fridge is right by where the line forms, which can cause some confusion with people who were already in line and people who just want to look at the refrigerated items. The space is definitely limited here. And every time I have been here the tables and seats nearby are always filled with families, so I end up eating at the bar-top table, which can also get packed. At least this location is much closer to me than the Pike Place Market one, which may be a good or bad thing... read more

I got the tuna melt. For $12, it was just the sandwich, no chips or anything else. Then $3.50 for a can of store brand sparkling water, and another $3.50 for a box of Honest Juice for my kid. So I wound up paying $20 (once you added in tax) for a single sandwich and two basic drinks for a walk up place and did honestly feel like a rip off for what I got. On top of that, sandwich was the absolute worst tuna melt I have ever eaten. It tasted like the fish had gone bad and the flavoring was really odd. It's the first time I've eaten a sandwich that tasted so bad I wanted to walk up and ask for my money back. read more

The food here is incredibly hyped up and overpriced for what is is -- subpar mall food. I used to come here a lot when they first opened as I work in the mall. I never really could find anything I liked besides the Mariachi Mac n Cheese and the smoked turkey sandwich. Well, I don't think I'm going to give this place another chance. Just paid $12 for a sad, small sandwich. Not only is the food not worth it, but lately they don't even treat you like a human. The gal ringing me up was incredibly short -- which I would understand if they were busy, but the whole mall was dead. The other folks waiting for their food didn't look too pleased either. Glad others are catching on to how boring this place is. read more

I really enjoy Beecher's mac and cheese, especially the Mariachi Mac that they always have at the Bellevue location. They always pack the bowl as much as possible, and I love the veggies that come in the pasta dish. The flavor of the sauce is very rich and enjoyable. This location is great because it is not nearly as busy as the one at Pike Place! Only knocking off one star because I have also tried their grilled cheese and tomato soup, which I am not a huge fan of. Their sandwiches seem to be better at the Pike Place location, though I'm not sure it that is just my experience. read more

I've only ever been to the Pike Place location or Beecher's, but I've always known they have other branches. We stopped here for a quick bite during our Bellevue errands day because my boyfriend wanted a fancy grilled cheese. Unfortunately, you can't customize any of the options here as they are all pre-made and warmed/grilled when ordered. I know they must be a busy location in the Bellevue mall, but my boyfriend has an aversion to some mustards and not being able to change the options limited what he could get to eat. Tasty food, but a little disappointed it isn't made to order here. read more

I had seen that they had a grilled cheese crab sandwich on their menu, and have been wanting to try it for a long time. Finally got a chance to when I came shopping here on a weekend. Well, the Dungeness Crab Sandwich wasn't really what I expected. I guess I just thought it would be oozing with cheese, like when you see those pictures of grilled cheese sandwiches where when they split the sandwich in half, the cheese is just stretching everywhere. It wasn't too bad, except that I would rather have my bread not toasted so much; it was a little too on the burnt side for me. read more

It's really nice to have some Seattle lunch options I'm Bellevue Square. There's free samples like in Pike Place Markets and the line moves quickly. The grilled cheese sandwich is always delicious but the prices are a little expensive for lunch. Unfortunately the seating is not private which includes a long bar table and 4 seat mall tables which are usually occupied as anyone can sit there. Free self serve water is available next to the coffee area. read more

Skip the long lines at Pike Place Market and get your cheese fix at this convenient and fast Bellevue location! Beecher's is famous for their macaroni and cheese, a combination of their Flagship cheddar, jack cheese, spices, and penne pasta. You can also get it "mariachi" style with some additional vegetables. The 8oz portion ($5.50) looked a little small, so I was concerned that it wouldn't fill me up. I shouldn't have worried because I was absolutely stuffed by 3/4 of the way through! Don't order 16oz unless you're sharing! The mac 'n' cheese gets all the hype, but I'd highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwich. Even though it hurts my heart a little to pay $6.50 for such simple fare, this was the gooiest, cheesiest, most delicious grilled cheese sandwich ever! I don't usually think of cheddar as being creamy, so I have no idea how they do it! You can also get a sandwich with ham or crab salad, but it's best to let the cheese be the star. This location might be missing some of the charm of Pike Place, but they still have free samples! And you can sit and enjoy your food in the sunny mall courtyard. read more

Very organized and clean business. Very good sandwich but I have to say I like less bread and more cheese. These are good grilled cheese. Not the dramatically oozing and partially browned bits of cheese I'd hoped for. A bit overpriced considering. We stopped by for a quick bite & picked up a Dungeness crab grilled sandwich $11.99 & a grilled turkey sandwich $8.99. Both were made to order & were ready within 5 minutes. If you dont want to pay extra for a drink they do have a free water option. The staff were really friendly & nice to chat with while waiting for our food. Oh! We picked up the 8 oz mac & cheese, too. If you like Beechers sharp cheese you'll like the mac n cheese. Good noodle to sauce ratio. read more

Beecher's after buying shoes? Yes, please! Mac n cheese, grilled cheese, cheese-cheese. You name it, you can grab it here. I love having this convenient little location so close to home, and I love the chill decore and ambiance of the joint. It's standing room only, but it makes me feel not so guilty about seconds. The selection is pretty amazing, and if you have any questions you can grab the oh-so-knowledgeable "head cheesemonger" (head-cheese lol), Brian. Brian schooled me on the production and storage of Beecher's cheese and tipped me off to a new branch in Nagoya Japan. For all my Japanese friends who follow me, don't miss it if you are around Nagoya airport! For questions, you can also grab the friendly store manager, Max. I'd heard so many good things about the original location at Pike's Place and figured since this location was closer they should be just as good so I was very anxious to give them a try. I went here a little before noon on a weekday and there were only a few people in line, I was expecting some long line but hey that was better for me. While they had lots of cheeses you could purchase as well as pre-made sandwiches, cold pasta salads and of course their cheese curds, the menu was short but some of the offerings really stood out. They had various egg & cheese breakfast sandwiches, tomato flagship soup, grilled sandwiches such as the dungeness crab or smoked ham and last but not least their "World's Best Mac & Cheese. I knew I wanted to try this World's Best Mac & Cheese to see if it really lived up to the hype as well as their cheese curds. I got the small size of mac & cheese which happened to be smaller than I expected and a bit pricey at $6 or so. It was very appealing, looked and smelled awesome but I was disappointed with the taste. The cheese sauce was very creamy and had a bit of spice to it but it wasn't super cheesy like I'd expected, it was really lacking. The noodles were also on the mushy side but I still hoped with each bite it would get better but it did not. At that point I kind of wished I would've tried the original location maybe I would have gotten different results. Although the mac & cheese was a big let down, the squeaky cheese curds did not disappoint. They were so yummy and satisfying, so much so that I bought 2 packs of cheese curds. While most would prefer them fried or on top of poutine they were just as good eaten by themselves. I'm very glad that I tried this place out because I was curious about the mac n cheese and of course wanted the cheese curds, I just wish this place wasn't so pricey and I had a better experience. If you are in the area and you're a cheese lover I would still recommend coming here. Just keep in mind they are a bit pricey and they are located inside the Bellevue Square mall. read more

I ordered the flagship sandwich along with a cup of tomato soup. Their sandwich was amazing! I am definitely gonna order this again. On the other hand, I found their soup to be okay. I have had much better tomato soup elsewhere so I was surprised to see this one didn't taste as I expected. All the folks behind the counter are trying really hard to get everyone to just move along. I had asked them to give me croutons and cheese on the side instead of the soup and they instead put it in the soup and gave me croutons and cheese on the side too. While I appreciate extra croutons and cheese, I was definitely being rushed as if they didn't have time to listen to my order. read more

They have got quite a few vegetarian options to pick from. I ordered the flagship sandwich, soup and Mac and cheese. The sandwich which was SO good, it was filled with cheese, it's a little pricey, but sooo worth it! The soup was great, they add cheese and croutons upon request. I have never had cheese in my soup, but it just worked! Beecher's is known for its Mac and cheese, it's really nice too. A little too cheesy for me, but definitely worth trying it. Beechers was the right choice for my Black Friday snack for me to refuel and continue shopping for great deals at Bellevue Square shopping mall! Ordered up some coffee and Kim chee grilled cheese. I was worried that it would be too spicy, but not at all! It was actually surprisingly tasty! It was more like pickled cabbage. As you can see in my picture, you couldn't see the expected red Kim chee seasoning/sauce. So if you want the normal hot spicy-ness if Kim chee, you won't get in this sandwich. But I would still give it a try! read more

Simply delicious. I love Beecher's, generally and this location is no exception. The food is great, the ambience is simple, the accessibility of being in a mall makes it a great location and the service is on point. What more could I ask for? Yes, I agree, it's a bit pricy, $9 for grilled cheese, $8 for small 8oz mac and cheese, I get it, completely. But once in a while especially during the cold months when you are shopping indoors, it's just a convenient yet luxurious option to have. Their world best Mac and cheese is my absolute favorite and I cannot have enough of it! It truly hits the spot and their sandwiches are amazing too! Give it a try if you are in the area! read more

Great potential for this new location of Beecher's in Bellevue Square! Since their Pike's Place Market location is always busy and parking is a bitch in downtown, it just makes it so much more convenient to have a Beecher's experience in Bellevue. However, the selection of cheese and menu items are limited at this Bellevue location. I have to admit I was a little disappointed at first because I wasn't aware that Beecher's had taken up this prime real estate at Bellevue Square and I was really looking forward to having something sweet and savory from Specialty's. However, I made alternative choices for brunch and then also made it a point to return for lunch on another day. Beecher's Bellevue Square is a great choice for a great quality lunch especially when on a time crunch. My friends met up at 11am, so we may have missed the lunch rush and were able to secure a table in the limited seating area. I ordered the Grilled Turkey Melt (made with Jack cheese and Beecher's original...which they had a sample of for tasting!) and was subdued by it's savoriness. There's definitely a great menu of items to choose from - salads, sandwiches, pasta! And if you just need a caffeine fix, there's an espresso bar to cater to that. I'll definitely need to try their signature Mac & Cheese! Too bad there isn't a combo choice on their menu...if there was, I didn't see it on the menu. I'd easily have chosen a turkey melt, mac & cheese combo...maybe even a sandwich/salad combo (But not for more than $10.) Next time I guess I'll order the mac & cheese to go. Overall, good food, great location, affordable menu & awesome staff! read more

I haven't been to Bellevue Square in awhile so I was surprised to find Beechers here. I hadn't had lunch yet so I thought now would be a good time to try their world's best Mac and cheese. I never got a chance at Pike's Place because it was always freaking busy. I got the 8oz which was $5.50. It was okay, but kind of had a bitter aftertaste. I should have got the grilled cheese sandwich. They have a variety of green salads as well as pasta. They also had sandwiches, wraps, my favorite, Ellenos yogurts, cheese plates, grilled sandwiches, cheese curds and a variety of cheese wedges. The line was long but went fast. Located in Bellevue square mall, visited here to try their flagship tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich recently. Is it the best soup and grilled cheese? No. Is it the worst? No. For $12, it definitely could have been better. Because it is situated in the mall, there are some seating areas, but they aren't always free, so I stood at their "standing" tables. There was a steady run of customers, mostly buying cheeses. I will be back to try their mac'n'cheese at some point, but there is definitely cheaper places to visit for a soup and grilled cheese. read more

We were craving something cheesy so my coworkers and I went for Beecher's cheese for lunch! My coworker's ordered the Mac n' cheese and half panini sammich and I ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup. Good-bye diet. I love carbs so I was prepared to gain some pounds. Their tomato soup is thick and rich! Their grilled cheese is also thick and rich (that's what she said). But seriously it was so rich that at the end, I couldn't eat any other food nor did I wanted to. It definitely filled you up but it's so rich that you feel a little uncomfortable in your throat. So I get that Bellevue supposedly has a high cost of living compared to most parts of the United States. I get that this is in an upscale mall. I even get that this place specializes in making cheese. Even taking all that into consideration, I still find it outrageous to pay over nine dollars for a simple sandwich. I tried one egg, ham, and cheese sandwich ($8.50 before tax). Silly me for expecting anything more than what the name suggests. Seriously, their profit margin must be huge. You could easily make the same thing at home for one, maybe two dollars at the most. And that is just sad. I don't care how good the food is if it's this disproportionately priced. read more
