Expired hot sauce three times now!…read more I was here a few months back and their hot sauce bottle had green clumps in it... they gave me a new bottle which was nice, but I came back today and once again, they had green clumps in their franks red hot... I asked the waiter for a replacement and he brought me ANOTHER bottle that was mostly full, however it had the green clumps in it too! Its best by date was back in July... Im not sure how theyre storing these things but ive been using franks red hot for years and never see green clumps in it. On top of all that, the waiter brings me his ipad for me to pay, and after I pay he sets the ipad down right in front of me with the minimum tip being 20%... I felt kind of uncomfortable knowing he is staring behind me, I changed the tip to 10% and said thanks and he walked away without even responding. Holy water please take a look at your hot sauce and change the minimum tip to something lower, you shouldn't participate in the toxic tipping culture that puts the onus on your patrons to pay your workers 20 percent as a minimum. It had some nice green lettuce but would have been nice to have option of other veggies like tomato, onion, and pickles. I still would give it an above average score. The winner for me was the fabulous red lentil soup. It was amazing. Tomato base, lentils, other typical soup veggies, and some ground beef. It was seasoned perfectly for me and was a bit on the thicker side and I would use the term "hearty" to describe it. The portion size was much bigger than you might get at other places with a combo. I normally am a sucker for the baked goods but this soup was so good- you gotta get some. Finally I had a slice of citrus cake/bread. It was above average with a nice tart citrus taste and just a touch of sugar glaze on top. Definitely a winner among all the other great looking items on display. Nice seating area in and outside although I crossed the road and snagged a picnic table so I could watch the fisherman at Norwegian Park try their luck. Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. The donuts were soft, flavorful, and some of the best we've had on this trip. The staff was just as wonderful--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. If you're anywhere near Bremerton, this place is absolutely worth the stop. Sure the sweets are amazing but the Savory lunch fare here is also fantastic and also includes locally sourced products from the Poulsbo Farmers Market and the same great local coffee. Today we had the roasted tomato and Brie on toast and the Salmon sandwich which is awesome! Fresh brewed coffee was medium but more flavorful than you will likely find almost anywhere else in Poulsbo. Take it from this local coffee fantastic. Be sure to try the desserts!
