Not many people were inside this well-decorated cafe on a Saturday afternoon. Cozy interior with seating inside and outside, as well as being connected to the laundromat next door. Order up front and take a seat for food to be delivered. Ordered the 12 oz. Latte ($5) as well as the Burrata Toast ($14) and Kimchi Fries ($13). Coffee is great - lots of flavor and not overly bitter. The toast is off to the side as the burrata is placed in the center, surrounded by some mushrooms. Wish the bread was a thicker cut to better pair with the cheese. Fine flavor overall; could have used some chili or another spice. Kimchi fries are well crisped and topped by a tangy sauce. An odd breakfast choice but definitely the best dish of the afternoon. Like the overall vibe of the place, as plants surround the inside and the music isn't overbearing. I'll preface this review by saying that I found myself at Bee Cafe after being turned away from another brunch spot. So I was hungry and disappointed, but had seen that Bee Cafe had a cute backyard and a bottomless brunch special. Great! I called and they said they could hold onto a table in the garden for us while we drove over. When we arrived we were seated at the table they held, which was a 4 person table where guests were already sitting. There were plenty of other open spots so we asked a server if we could sit at another table by ourselves and they said yes, so we moved over. Then, when we tried to order the bottomless brunch special, we were told that they no longer offer it. The server was very nice but we were really disappointed since we had seen it on their menu here on Yelp. It was 1:00 PM at that point and we hadn't eaten all day so we ordered some food. I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and we shared empanadas. The chicken sandwich was fine, but the fries tasted heavy and oil-logged. The empanada wasn't traditional but it was also just fine. We were told to pay at the counter, but had to wait in line for awhile behind people ordering before we could pay our bill. Beautiful cafe. The design is interesting, refreshing and not like something typically founds in NYC. My tea was fresh and refreshing. My colleague also liked his coffee. My colleague received the wrong pastry, and my ham and cheese was cold and stale. I told the cashier but she was apathetic. I would come here to meet for work coffee, but don't expect gourmet food. Came here with a friend. I really liked the vibe. The day I went, there was construction in their soon to be patio so I saw outside. There is limited indoor seating and they do enforce that. The back indoor space may be available. Hand sanitizer available! I ordered a nitro green tea and a ham and cheese croissant for my lunch to satisfy my hunger. As I eyed my friend's taro bbtea, I ended up ordering that as well. You can imagine that I had trouble falling asleep that night, heh. I was taken by surprise at how well decorated this cafe is. I stopped by with coworkers to get some work done and upon entering I noticed the beautiful indoor plants set up in front. As you walk inside you will see a wine cellar on the side and then a door to an outdoor sunroom (which had heating as well). I loved the RV back drop and decor setup. In terms of the coffee, the lattes were good and I also noticed they serve lunch/dinner food like burgers, fries etc. It seems to include pretty much everything here (even alcohol). Super aesthetically pleasing and cute cafe! We stopped by here before making the drive back home to Boston. We sat in the patio area at the back of the cafe, at first it seems like a small cafe but when you keep walking to the back it's spacious and decorated really nicely. Many good food/brunch options and on the weekends they have more options! Many different types of drinks to choose from as well. The tapioca balls in the bubble tea was nothing special but the drinks themselves tasted really good. The breakfast sandwich I had was really good as well, and the staff was very kind and friendly here. I had a hard time picking what I wanted to eat since I wanted to try a lot. It's hurts to write this update, but honestly, I just can't ignore after several not great trips. Bee Cafe has made some AMAZING updates. They've continually dedicated themselves to updating the cafe to be larger and more comfortable. They've really hit the nail on the head in both these areas. They opened a phenomenal backyard, and lovely cozy back area inside, and a new and improved menu... but therein lies the issue. Previously Bee Cafe boasted some of the best food at the best prices; sadly, I can't make that claim to friends anymore. My favorite go-to was the pork buns, but what they used to serve is no longer the case. Several times now I've gotten this sinewy chicken thing that is impossible to bite through. It would be ok at the old price point, but now the prices have doubled on some items. The new menu and new prices are borderline unrealistic. The Bee Breakfast sandwich is now $10. I've never heard of a breakfast sandwich being $10, not even in Manhattan. I decided to try the chicken salad; when I asked what was in it, they couldn't tell me. The most they could remember was lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. I said ok, but pls no cucumber. I know I know... I'm just not into it. I get the salad and it's served on a plate with cheese, olives, and a couple of capers too. It looks completely haphazardly put together though. The tomatoes aren't cut very well, the lettuce is HUGE and it's just not easy to eat. Additionally, the plate doesn't help at all. Salad is usually served in a bowl for a reason. I love that they are now serving beer, cocktails, and wine, but the expectation that folks should pay $8 for a basic beer is kinda bananas. Not to mention you don't even get a full pint. I honestly don't know what's going on. When I first saw the new menu and new prices, I thought it was a prank or something. This is still a great place to grab a coffee and do some work, but I won't be eating anything here ever again. Oh, the last thing... bubble tea is the real heart breaker. This used to be the best bubble tea in the area. Now it's not even second. Go-go tea, which opened up recently is twice as good, has more options, and is .50 cheaper. read more

Came here over the weekend for a morning hangout and was very impressed with this coffee shop. When we got to the shop, we noticed it was right next to a laundromat and thought- wow everyone who needs a quick bite or a cup of coffee can easily get something from the cafe next door! To our surprise, I think both coffee shop and laundromats are operated by the same owner- there is a "door" between the two inside so you can walk between the cafe and laundromat. Anywho, just thought this was a smart idea! In front of the cafe is a outdoor seating that is self seating as long as you made a purchase or a customer of the laundromat. Very cute decor, comfy looking seating and very spacious! We went to sit at the back in the beer garden that had heated lamps (even though it was really nice out!) and again, another VERY cute outdoor-ish seating that is super spacious for hangouts! I think I saw some games as well- either way, the space is very nice. They offer food options, your regular coffee and tea options. I got a croissant and hot chocolate. Croissant was warmed which was a nice touch and hot chocolate was just a tad sweet but overall, ambiance, food AND the service was spot on. This place is truly a secret gem and my ideal study environment. If you walk to the back, there's a beautiful study garden, filled with plants, with peaceful, no-lyric music playing. It's a student's dream; so serene feeling and easy to focus. The pictures do no justice. It also has both fans and heaters so that you can tune the temperature according to the day's weather. My only complaint is that there are no charging ports in the garden (you'll have to go inside) and the policy of no laptops after 5, but I understand that they want to change the environment to being a beer garden in the evenings. As far as the food, their chicken sandwich is AMAZING. Me and my friend don't even like dark meat but agreed that the sandwich is so good that we didn't even notice. I came here the other day with my family. And it's a cute little cafe nestled in woodside. The workers were extremely friendly and very kind. The place itself was very clean and. The have various options here from bubble tea to fresh squeezed juice. They even have tea on tap along with pastries and sandwiches! We all ended up getting the passion fruit bubble tea and it was delicious. It was light and refreshing. And the bubbles were perfectly made. The moment I laid eyes on this one I fell in love with the decor. Very serene, green everywhere you just feel that fresh vibe when you enter this cafe. Their out door is one of the best I have seen. This review is based solely on their drinks (non-alcoholic). I live a short walk away and only ever have time to order from their coffee menu. I don't have a coffee machine in my house and I usually splurge on a coffee when I'm working in the office or out with friends. Since this cafe has opened I've been ordering different types of caffeinated drinks to try, but I'm never fully impressed. In the past year I've ordered: - small iced coffee (with simple syrup) twice - small iced cold brew (with simple syrup) - large iced matcha latte (as is) - small iced cappuccino (as is) - small passion fruit boba (as is) Simple syrup and milk (or alternative) are extra unless your order comes with these things already. In the times I've placed my order, I always ask for a small pump of simple syrup, and I'm always walking out the door with a cup of coffee with a thick visible layer of syrup at the bottom. Not everyone is a huge fan of sickly sweet coffee, but I've learned my lesson after three attempts at ordering coffee from here. I'll stick to adding sugar on my own. As an avid iced coffee drinker, I've ordered many cups of iced coffee and have never been given so much simple syrup as I have from this cafe. I think if you prefer simple syrup in your iced drinks, keep this in mind. Matcha latte was not worth the price I paid for it (can't remember the exact amount, but it was over $6). From experience, many cafes stick to using lower end matcha but you can sometimes still taste the flavor. My drink tasted mostly of milk. The green color is the only thing which indicated that it's matcha flavored. Iced cappuccino was fine. If anything, just order a shot of expresso and go home and add your own milk/ice. By this point I knew not to ask for a pump of simple syrup, knowing I'd be walking out with an overly sweet drink. Boba drink was also overly sweet, and the tapioca was hard. Would not recommend these types of drinks from here after reading other reviews about the same issue. If you're not fussy with your coffee, I don't think it's worth ordering anything other than a regular coffee. For me, this cafe is walking distance from my house and it's convenient. read more
