Dr. Mitchell made that simple -- he not only has excellent depth in general and aesthetic dentistry but is also just an incredibly nice person. For instance, I'd had my last bitewings eleven months before, and before my arrival, she had noticed that and double-checked with my insurance to ensure I was eligible, but more important, she also asked me if I would prefer to have them a little early or wait until my next visit. When I told her the situation, she treated me as if she had known me for years, instead of having just met me. That's rare these days in my opinion. A few years after a root canal, I was having pain in the same tooth and I also noticed a fistula…read morenext to the tooth. I went back to the endodontist who performed the root canal and, after spending a few hundred dollars on a 3D xray, he couldn't see anything wrong with the root canal. He recommended I see Dr. Wood. I had to wait a month for an appointment and, about a week before the appointment date, I noticed that the fistula was gone and the pain had dissipated. I called the AZMOS office and spoke with a new patient rep who encouraged me to keep the appointment because Dr Wood would be able to diagnose the problem. The office was very crowded and felt chaotic. When I was finally called into the exam room, the first thing I was asked was whether I wanted to be put out for my procedure. I was only there for a consultation. I was not impressed with the staff or the way patients were handled. After having two more X-rays taken (they said they couldn't read the X-rays that the endodontist had taken), Dr. Wood couldn't figure out what was wrong. He didn't push me into anything, which I appreciated. I returned to the waiting room and had to wait again. I did not have insurance and had to pay out of pocket. One of the receptionists told me my total and charged my credit card. About a month later, I got a bill for an additional charge. When I spoke with someone from the billing department, she told me that they had made a mistake and hadn't charged me enough. She didn't apologize and was pretty rude. After not getting any diagnosis or closure with my problem, the extra charge was upsetting. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. No one filled me with confidence and they don't seem to believe in treating their patients with respect. It's all about the money.

When I got there I had my xray done and the dental hygienist went over the xrays with me and recommended I get a deep cleaning. I was paying out of pocket and I would also have to reschedule another appointment as this deep cleaning would have taken 3 hours. I told her I would opt out of a deep cleaning and just get my regular cleaning as I have been waiting months for an appointment. I guess that was the wrong answer for them. She told me she cant do a regular cleaning it is unethical. Sorry but what is really unethical is scheduling me for a cleaning as a new patient and not specifying that there would be a possibility that I can leave without one. If I knew of that possiblity I would have never taken the appointment. They still had the nerve to charge me. I even tried to explain that to Dr Tanner and he basically said I'm wasting his time. They just scammed me money for xrays. What a horrible experience. Would not recommend this place.
