A year or so ago I got a few dental implants. Between Christmas and New Years, I broke two of them. I went in today because they were able to squeeze me in to look at them even though they were booked. I went in at 1pm. They fit me in for xrays, eval, prep, reattach, and another xray and got them all done and me out the door by 3pm - just squeezing me in between their already scheduled patients. Not only that, but they remembered me completely, chatted with me the whole time like they knew me forever, and didn't charge me a dime for the repair. Dr. Wainwright and his complete staff were so professional, and courteous during the whole of my treatment plan. I got a complete upper and lower 4-On-One implant procedure (full mouth). This allowed me to no longer have upper dentures and regain my confidence. My lower teeth were removed as well. The whole procedure was done in one day with minimal pain. I cannot express enough gratitude to Dr. Wainwright and his winning staff. I love my smile and I get so many compliments on a daily basis. I want to first say that I went to another dentist office and it was terrible, rude, different dentist each time I went in and they would not provide the proper paperwork to get the insurance company to pay for them. I got frustrated after 6 months of trying to get through their process. THEN... I found Affordable dentures, which Dr. Geoff Wainwright is the owner of. Wow what a difference. Everything was unbelievably easy, so professional and he had a whole different and better set of options for me. Night and day folks... I always say there are Eagles and there are Ducks... this whole office from the receptionist, to the Doctor all Eagles. When I called for the appointment it was easy, I explained the problems I was having and they knew exactly what needed and set me up with an appointment the next day. When I arrived the staff is incredibly professional, knowledgable and friendly. The office is spotless, they did x-rays and explained my options. They also listened to my unique insurance situation and other issues and non were an issue to them. Everything that I needed was taken care of and I am simply amazed on Dr Wainwright's "chair side"manner. He is so personable and you just relax in a dentist's Office... what more do you want The next thing that impressed me was the price... they offer much better dentures than the other place but they were a lot less costly. Not good. I spent 6 weeks trying to get a new denture. Thee first set of forms were done so badly that I had to have them redone. Everything they asked me to do I did. They intimated it was my fault that we had problems. Finally, after driving to Tucson, at my expense, they gave me the denture. It's awful. So lopsided that I will now have a problem smiling. Four months ago I finished a year of treatment getting one implant in the front if my mouth. On the 15 of March the cap on the implant broke off and i found it on the floor, so I had the tooth. I called and they were closed for weekend so I left message. I am 84 years old and live alone. I depend on my daughter for transportation to dentist. They are 30 minutes away. She called me Monday and said to come in and My daughter could not take me as her work load was full. The girl told me if I came in another day i would just have to wait until they worked me in. My daughter arranged her work so she could take me on Thursday so when we arrived at 8:30 the girl at front desk said my appointment was at 8:00 and they cannot see me. I will have to make another appointment. I am on oxygen and have difficulty walking. I said I am sure she did not make a diffenite appointment and she argured with me. I thought she was being very unprofessional and uncourteous. She made no effort to help me with an appointment. I am very disappointed with the tooth problem and with the staff. I hope others will not have this problem. Maybe she just thought she could treat an elderly woman with disrespect. read more

2 years later, my husband's implants and upper dentures have broken. Can't get an appointment except in Mesa in 2 months. Costing $3000 to fix somewhere else. This is 2nd time the Tucson office sent up S to Phoenix. First time dentist quit. This time staff got covid so they're closed again. Pretty unsafe. Don't use them. read more

My wife became suicidal after receiving treatment at this place!! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SMILE OR THE DAMAGE THEY CAN DO TO YOUR MENTAL HEALTH BY RUINING YOUR SMILE!!! I took my wife here in late December and it was the biggest regret I'll ever have!! The dental hygienist were great, but the dentist is jerk! He pulled my wife's teeth, put here in a denture that looked worse than the teeth you get out of a gum ball machine. When she told him they were horrible, he told her that she seemed to be a person that cares about her looks, and he doesn't think he can give her the desired look she's going for. Of course she cares about her looks Captain Obvious, otherwise she wouldn't have been sitting in his chair in the first place. We ended up having to have a whole different procedure done that cost us $25,000!!! When you go into something paying less than $5000, to having to go somewhere different and pay $25,000 to fix the mistake that was made at Affordable Dentures, it really sucks on the pocket book!! I wouldn't allow this dentist to perform dental work on a corpse that's headed for cremation, much less a living human being that has half of a brain cell and cares about their smile! My wife was SUICIDAL because of this place!!! read more

This is the most professional dental office I have ever been in and I'm 70 years old. Their priority is taking care of the patient instead of gouging them for as much money as possible. Just a heads-up: Dr. Givens is no longer there. Instead, there has apparently been a conga-line of temporary dentists in and out of this location, and it's hit-or-miss now, depending on which temporary dentist is at the helm. On Friday, June 8, I arrived to my appointment to find no dentist on site, only staff. I was told there is a temporary dentist available, but I never saw hide nor hair of any dentist on Friday when my teeth were made. Yep, that's right. Affordable Dentures made my teeth without a dentist ever looking in my mouth or even being introduced to me, the patient. It became apparent why, when I returned on Tuesday to see what could be done about my new dentures not fitting right AT ALL. I was told that the current temporary dentist does not do adjustments on a walk-in basis, and I must deal with mouth sores and floppy dentures until they could get me in for an appointment. Suspecting there was no dentist employed at the time, I asked to meet the dentist, since he was absent on Friday when I was there to have my teeth done. I was told the new temporary dentist was in surgery, and the old temporary dentist quit on Friday. So I waited to meet the new temporary dentist. About 20 minutes later, I was called in to talk to the new temporary dentist, who agreed that it would be completely reasonable for me to file a complaint against Affordable Dentures for never sending a dentist in to see me, and instead opting to ignore the fact there was no dentist on site and just keep taking in patients, instead of rescheduling their appointments for a day when a licensed dentist was present. After all, he had just started working at Affordable Dentures today, and wasn't even there on the day all the problems occurred. The dentist-less staff at Affordable Dentures did an awful job on my dentures. I gave it from Friday until Tuesday, just in case my mouth needed to adjust, and I just got more and more sore spots in my mouth, while my dentures flopped around loose. Cassandra, the receptionist, told me this is because some of the molding material may have come out when they cast the mold. I was told I could request a refund, but since I paid cash, they were going to have to put in a check request, and it takes two weeks. So learn a lesson from this: If you do take a chance on this place, DO NOT PAY CASH! Seriously, I'm thinking the temporary dentist they introduced me to today, he was just some guy (maybe a staff member) they talked into putting on a lab coat and pretending to be the dentist because they just can't get any real dentists to stay. Dr. Givens was wonderful. His prices were unbelievably low, and he did the highest quality work imaginable. This conga line of "dentists" in and out of Affordable Dentures these days - they're either unskilled or apathetic or both, and their prices shot up 50% from when Dr. Givens was crafting spectacular dentures there. Now it's just BAD and EXPENSIVE. If you're thinking of going to Affordable Dentures on South 16th Avenue in Tucson, DON'T! You're better off driving to the next-closest Affordable Dentures location, like maybe in Phoenix. Or go to the Affordable Dentures location near where you vacation instead, while you're away from Tucson. Just don't go to this one - you'll be disappointed. read more

I have had the worst experience with Affordable Dentures. They took my money gladly without explaining that I needed a 3D x-ray for implants. Got that and then their dentist, who is no longer there, told me I had an infection in my jawbone and he could not do the extractions, I had to go to an oral surgeon and he referred me to Dr. Wood, an excellent oral surgeon who was about to perform the extractions when his assistant came into say I had no follow up care because there was no longer any dentist at the Tucson location. I rescheduled the extractions and was assured there would be a dentist to treat me afterwards, but when I called no one answered. I've requested a refund and was told I would have to come to their office to "see" what could be done. I'm giving them 10 days and then I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the Arizona Board of Dental Examiners. They are unprofessional and profoundly unhelpful with a very painful, traumatic process. I would never recommend them to anyone. Ever. read more
