My first impression of Aspen Dental is that it is a great facility equipped with top of the line dental equipment. It is well kept up and the service is prompt. Before you know it, your name will be called up and you will be sitting in the dentist chair in no time. Now the staff: Heather in the reception desk is very friendly and helpful. She has a very sweet voice that makes you feel welcome. Then I got to meet DJ (dental assistant)- He took my x-rays and made it very easy. He explained to me step by step what he was doing. Keeping me informed at all times is a big +. Thanks DJ Second, I met Paola the other dental assistant who was also very sweet. And last, but definitely not least, I met Dr. Levy. EDIT Okay all the…read morecaring and promptness does not excuse that the dentist I saw sent me on a wild ride to get a root canal that I did NOT need. And I knew that I didn't need it cuz I had had a clean bill of healthy roots in the last 2 months. And when I went to my appointment 2 days later at the endodontist's and they took x-rays, I got to sit there for a few minutes looking at them on a monitor. Even I saw my own healthy roots and was like I hope this endodontist isn't going to do any work. When he finally walked me through the x-rays he said that I didn't need the root canal. But this dentist at Aspen was like "you're gonna need a root canal". Listen, in a pinch this place might be good for cleanings and fillings, I don't know. What could be improved? Language is everything. Dr. Martin, if you're not sure, don't say you know. Just recommend specialist evaluation and leave it at that. Very caring and prompt service from making my appointment over the weekend for a semi-emergency type of treatment to the in-office care. Saw Dr. Martin since my usual dentist was out of town. My only star deduction is that they do not have as state-of-the-art equipment as my usual dentist or the dentist before that. I had to put on the vest for x-rays. Not a total dealbreaker and better than witnessing the fact that Banner Hospital at the UofA has dot matrix printers printing your information out. Other than that, my visit was pleasant. Staff was very helpful and kind.

Warning: I spent over $6K for dental work and now I cannot use my teeth. This has been an absolute…read morenightmare of an experience that no one deserves to go through. I went in for a treatment (3 fillings, 3 crowns). I was sent home with 3 teeth that were twice their normal size and jagged. He drilled and filled my cavities, but "forgot" to shave/shape them. Pieces of filling were falling off in chunks in my mouth for the next 2 weeks. The office was not concerned unless it was my temp crowns that were falling apart. When I went back to have my permanent crowns put on (and his unfinished work completed), it was so painful removing the temporary crowns, he had to numb me. He never took any x-rays or looked any further into why I was in so much pain. He just shot me up with novocaine and cemented the permanent crowns on. I was told I could eat whatever I wanted, but my first meal came with excruciating pain. The crown was not placed correctly. It was much too long. I called the office, and they had me come back for a bite adjustment. I was told to give it two weeks, the pain won't go away immediately because I probably bruised the nerve. Three weeks later I called the office again, as the pain was no better. I was referred straight to an oral surgeon for a root canal without any further evaluation (after being told I did not need a root canal). There was zero compassion for the pain I was experiencing, or the malpractice that occurred in their office. I politely asked for a refund on the one tooth in the amount of $1,666 (since he refused to look at his work that was causing my pain). They refused to refund my money unless I came back in for an evaluation after they refused to evaluate the issue. I could eat anything I wanted to before I let this man touch my teeth, and now I cannot eat anything but soft foods. They let me suffer through the holidays like this. That's how much these people "care" about their patients. I have contacted my attorney, and we are pursuing legal action as a result of these personal injuries. Save yourself the hassle, and choose a different dentist. Please don't end up like me! My teeth are bigger on the right side than they are on the left now. I will be looking into veneers to cover up this embarrassing new look he gave me once I get my crown fixed. I had pretty teeth before I came here, so this is quite stressful and depressing. My daughter volunteered there as a college student and as part of that, they offered her dental care with the only charge being they would bill insurance. That was 18 months ago. Today I just paid $800 (what they called a 50% discount) because what is a promise? Apparently, the dentist who did the cavities was in the process of being covered by our insurance, so after they billed the wrong insurance several times, they decided to hold us responsible for the full out-of-network cost. They claimed my daughter never requested someone in-network. How can you know she didn't say those words when you've also told me that you have no idea how you billed GEHA when we have BlueDental. Huh. You tried to say we gave you GEHA insurance, but we have proof of sending your office FEP BlueDental more than once. When I spoke to the CEO directly a couple of weeks ago, she literally said the person who entered the insurance information no longer works there, so "I don't know how that happened." Both her and the treasure of a person I spoke to in May glossed over what has the appearance of fraud and tried to shift the blame onto us. When they did bill the correct insurance, insurance replied and asked to be contacted, which the office never did. I know this because in the end, I called insurance and had them process the claim through. At that time, they informed me that Bella Vida had never reached out to them. Oh, they saw the GEHA claim in there as well and found it odd. Hm. Anyways, the whole thing came to a head when we received a bill of $1600 for supposed free services along with a handwritten note and a smiley face, threatening to send it to collections if not paid. A bill for a service my daughter was told she wouldn't have to pay for because she paid for it with labor. To summarize: Bella Vida broke promises about fees, billed the wrong insurance and blamed us, threatened collections, offered a gracious 50% discount on said free services, and fillings that fell out in less than a year and had to be fixed somewhere else where it was actually covered by insurance and at 8% of the cost Bella Vida wanted. The only gracious part of this entire fiasco was my daughter's unpaid labor. Don't go here.

I am in and out with a clean smile every time. They send me a birthday card every year and greet me by name when I walk in. I have recommended a ton of people and instead of giving me a certain amount off of work (like other dentist), that actually gave me a hand crafted gift and gift certificate to the movies. Very thoughtful, especially since I dont need additional work and that would be pointless to have as a gift. The interior comes off as a bit "old" but their equipment is standard and does the job. I also love that Dr. Davis and I went to the same college :) Go Tigers!

When i checked out I was greeted by a "Treatment Plan" that had two appointments - priced at $704 each and my next regular appointment would be $225. The plan had mandatory $100 payment to secure the appointments. I gave them $212 for these appointments not knowing to this day what the $12 was for. It was clear on the form the 2 $100 payments were for the treatments and any money would be returned if the treatment was not done. There was no discussion- all this done in the lobby with other patients listening. It was uncomforable at best. I made 2 appointments and canceled both in a timely manner. I first got an email from the office that I could pick up or they could mail the $212 check. Then the office manager took it upon herself to take $200 and apply it to another bill and mailed a $12 check to "save me a trip". I challenged the credit with my bank as the $200 was for the deep cleaning which i did not have. BEWARE.. IF YOU GET A TREATMENT PLAN... GET A SECOND OPINION AND CANCEL THE APPOINTMENTS. MY NEW DENTIST SAID I COULD GET A DEEP CLEANING BUT I DID NOT NEED IT. The business practices of Goodman Dental are suspect as best .. the new dentist showed me what Goodman Dental does not have.. modern xrays, modern office & good honest care. BEWARE!!!

I even waited one week to write this review just to make sure if there would be any discomfort... None! Dr. Pena was Fantastic! To whomever reads this: I've had a root canal by a regular dentist. OMP Endodontics is "the" way to go.
