Here are a few reasons why: Patient-centered approach - Dr. Bortz is knowledgeable, thorough, and prioritizes his patients. During my visits, I am confident that I am receiving the best and most appropriate care. Last year, I made numerous visits due to crown damage from heavy teeth grinding (2020 was a stressful year). Dr. Bortz and his team went above and beyond to accommodate me and fix the problem. Transparency - I have a clear idea of what my financial obligation is. I am asked to sign off on anything additional (ex: fluoride treatment) prior to service. Accurate estimates are presented for procedures. I have also never felt that I am being presented or sold unecessary products and procedures. This is unfortunately so common at many other practices. Cleanliness - Seems basic, but it's important. The office, equipment, and instruments are clean and they seem to be vigilant about wiping things down. Easy online access - They have an online portal for booking and viewing appointments. Records are easily accessible. Great for us millenials ;) Friendly/Professional staff - Good staff can make or break an experience regardless of what the actual visit with the doc is like. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The technicians are well trained and professional. I don't usually post reviews of medical/dental offices. I have had such a positive experience here that I felt compelled to write one. After some terrible visits at a few other places in town, I'm so glad I found Oracle Modern Dentistry.

They still insisted all X-rays. For one tooth. I made sure they were covered by insurance and explained several times I could not afford. They called my insurance and said everything was completely covered. I went through the excruciating process (they have old equipment) only to be told the tooth I wanted the filling replaced was not as important as other work and they refused to do it. So, I left with a hole in my tooth. 7 months later I received a bill for $248. I called. Thy said insurance wouldn't pay. I explained they told me it was covered 7 months ago and what they put me through forcing me to get all the X-rays that I didn't even need. I was told they would take care of it. Forward another month and I received yet another bill. Again, for initial X-rays that were not needed, but covered by insurance. Now I'm being told insurance won't pay because I maxed my benefits elsewhere. I didn't use the benefits until several months later when I had an emergency. So, this dentists negligence on timely billing, on top of everything else, is being placed on me. I'm discussing it on a Facebook forum and have heard some things about this office. If you've been wronged by this dentist join us on facebook. Currently I am filing with BBB and consumer protection. Based on the dates, there is no excuse. I should have never been billed, especially having services forced upon me and not even fixing my tooth. Wasting my time and time off work. I have more to say, will return to edit. And I knew that I didn't need it cuz I had had a clean bill of healthy roots in the last 2 months. And when I went to my appointment 2 days later at the endodontist's and they took x-rays, I got to sit there for a few minutes looking at them on a monitor. Even I saw my own healthy roots and was like I hope this endodontist isn't going to do any work. When he finally walked me through the x-rays he said that I didn't need the root canal. But this dentist at Aspen was like "you're gonna need a root canal". Listen, in a pinch this place might be good for cleanings and fillings, I don't know. What could be improved? Language is everything. Dr. Martin, if you're not sure, don't say you know. Just recommend specialist evaluation and leave it at that. Very caring and prompt service from making my appointment over the weekend for a semi-emergency type of treatment to the in-office care. Saw Dr. Martin since my usual dentist was out of town. My only star deduction is that they do not have as state-of-the-art equipment as my usual dentist or the dentist before that. I had to put on the vest for x-rays. Not a total dealbreaker and better than witnessing the fact that Banner Hospital at the UofA has dot matrix printers printing your information out. Other than that, my visit was pleasant. Staff was very helpful and kind.
