Never ever will I order from BB&B again. I remember the good old days when they had stores that were filled with everything you could want. This BB&B is horrible. I ordered a set of 2 pendant lamps. I opened and installed one and right away noticed it was defective. So I start a return and see when they get them back they will inspect for defects and if they judge them to be OK, they will charge me $46 in return shipping. Not knowing if the second light is defective (why would I open it if I'm not keeping the set?) I reach out via chat to confirm I won't be charged for the 2nd lamp and you guessed it, after 45 minutes of waiting they say yes I'll be charged for the second light. I asked to speak to a manager and wait. Meanwhile in the background I google for a phone # (1-800-843-2446 Monday-Friday: 9:00am-9:00pm EST). I call and press 1 to speak to someone. Each of the 3 times try, it disconnects! Then the rep gets back to the chat and tells me I have to call their loss prevention department. Which closed at 7:00 while I was on the chat for 1 hour & 4 minutes. Now I have to start all over again tomorrow. NEVER EVER AGAIN. read more

Horrible customer service... Charged $53 to return a set of curtains after their coloring was different than what the website listed. The cost of shipping of the return was just as much as the item. Customer service did not do anything besides apologize. Horrible experience and will never buy anything from them again. read more

One star is generous. Horrible! Products were delivered defective. Missing pieces, chipped wood, missing drill holes which made it impossible to assemble. The return policy is absolutely insane. They make you "jump through hoops" just to return the items. I was told that I had to "prove" that the items were defective as opposed to having the service rep seeing it for themselves when they picked it up. How do you show a missing drill hole? "Here's a piece of wood"! Customer service call sent me to the Phillipines and took well over 2 hours. Do not order anything from BB&B! Steer clear. Waste of $$$ and time! read more

I recently purchased a bath set online from Bed Bath & Beyond, and took a long time to receive delivery. I was very disappointed with the quality. The curtains were too short, the rugs started shedding right out of the package, and the hooks were smaller than standard size. I reached out to customer support, explained the issues, and even sent photos requesting a partial refund, but my request was rejected. I always had great experiences at Bed Bath and Beyond when they had their brick and mortar stores. This is my first time ordering from them since they closed all their stores and are only online. I will NEVER order from them again. They "claim" if you are not happy with your item you can return it within 30 days minus the shipping cost. I had paid them $6.99 when they shipped the item to me, but when I decided to return the item they charged me $22 for the shipping label for a tiny box. There was an option for me to ship it on my own and not use their shipping label which would definitely be cheaper. But if you choose not to buy the shipping label from Bed, Bath and Beyond they give you a big warning that you probably won't get your refund if you choose not to use the label they provide. I called customer service and they could not explain why shipping it back to them costs three times as much as shipping it to me originally. Complete rip off. read more

Store is easy to navigate and clean. There is such an emphasis on variety of overall goods that there isn't much variety of specific types of goods. Still a good one stop shop if having just moved. On a Saturday, the store was fairly empty. No line at checkout. Sign up for coupons in your email. They also have a savings program that has an annual fee. read more

I came to this bed Bath and beyond to pick up simply just a box of trash bags and there was 10 minutes left until they closed, the gentleman at the door very rudely told me that they were closing and I had to leave he also said to please turn around and leave. He was extremely rude and disrespectful.... I now see why they are closing and had to file for bankruptcy The customer service over the last year or year and a half has went from worse to extremely worse.... so sad. read more

Nice store and competitive pricing I am a frquent shopper at Bed Bath & Beyond. They have a good selection and comoetitive prices on products. Bed Bath and Beyond has an easy return return policy and they let you use coupons that are expired. Yes, you can probably go somewhere else and find similar products however, the products and level of customer service will not be as good. I have gone into Bed Bath & Beyond looking for specific items and if they don't have the item stocked they have offered to order and have the item shipped. She was told that they didn't have any restrooms for customers. What kind of store that size doesn't have restrooms available for paying customers! We walked out and went somewhere else. We purchased a kitchen cart from Bed Bath & Beyond. They didn't have it at the store so we had to have it shipped to home. They did ship to home for free which was nice, however the package showed up damaged. I thought to myself, the packing looks poor and they have some banged up areas but they probably packed it good enough so I opened it up. Once I got all the pieces out which were packed well, I notice one side area is scratched up fairly bad. I tried to return to the store and was told I had to ship it back to an address in NJ. Well I wasn't going to pay for shipping back for something they screwed up, it would have been over $40. I contact PayPal which is how I made the purchase and opened a dispute. Asking for a full refund and for the company to pay for return shipping. The only way they would give us a full refund of $255 was if we shipped it back at our own expense. This is not how to operate a business if you want to have return customers. I will be sure to tell everyone I know about this as well as continue to dispute with my payment company. I will also never spend another dime at this place and have told everyone at my office about this experience. This is poor business Bed Bath & Beyond. read more

I've visited this store many times and always fine the employees to be incredibly helpful. On my most recent trip I was in a hurry and pretty grumpy from an incident in the parking lot. Even though I wasn't happy or nice, (I wasn't mean either) I was treated with respect and helped to get the items I was looking for, this really shows their commitment to great customer service. Store experience was less than great. Was given a display for what we were told was the last item on the shelf. Employee told is we'd get 10% off and that anyone in the store would be able to do so at the register. The lady at the register didn't believe that we'd had this conversation and spoke to some other individual who was not involved in our conversation who decided not to honor what we were told. The first really nice employee managed to disappear before we could check out. All for a $1 discount. 10% of $10. All this extra detective work for a dollar. I will not be returning. I can't trust the store to honor a dollar discount, I can't trust them for anything else. Not worth the hassle for cheaply made items. This is my first and last time shopping here. read more

Typical Bed Bath & Beyond store. If you check your mail there is periodically a 20% off coupon in there - either for the entire purchase or one item. I decided to get a humidifier with my gift cards but the one I came for was out of stock. Then I saw some cool throw pillows but there was no price on them so I had to get an associate to look it up. They were $25 each! Even with a 20% off coupon, that's still $40 for two throw pillows. Steep. So I went home to buy the humidifier online but read the reviews and people said it leaked, so I went with a different one. Their site accepted my gift cards when I entered them, but when I went to submit the order it said there was a problem with my card and I had to call. What a pain. read more

We bought 6 drapes and they were shipped to us quickly but all had defects from the manufacturer. We brought them back and waited for the replacements. When the new ones arrived, we realized they had sent us back the exact ones we returned. WTF !!! read more

I walked into get a quote for several items but it seemed that every customer service person wasn't interested in helping me, I tried to get the attention of an associate named Mercedes but she seemed far more interested in her phone. when I did get her attentions she only had rude stares and a harsh tones to offer me. I walked around some more with no help in sight. My last stop in the store was near the towels. I wandered a bit and was asked by a young women by the name of Stephanie if I needed help, I said yes and told of my experience so far. She apologized for the short comings and offered to help me. She informed me of the different brands available and suggested what might best suit my needs, so the visit wasn't a complete wash ,but most of the employees need repremendation. read more

Don't come here to shop unless you want an old grouchy lady to talk to you with attitude. Drove all the way to the store to buy the Phillips xl air fryer for $150. When I got there they didn't have any in stock in the store so I asked if they can order it for me at the $150 in store price since they were out of stock. The girl who was helping me brought me to the cashier to see if they can do it but the old lady working the registered sounded really annoyed that I would ask such a question. I told her that my cousin bought three today at another store at that price to have shipped to her. Old lady rolled her eyes and said that corporate said they cannot do that. So I said, "So different stores have different policies now or what?" She just said that they had to charge me the $300 online price if I wanted it. Don't understand why she was so annoyed by people who want them to honor the prices that are listed. She really shouldn't be working customer service. I just moved and I wanted to go to this Bed Bath and Beyond to get a few odds and ends. Not only did I have a hard time finding someone to help me, but when I did I felt like I was an idiot for daring to ask her anything. It was something trivial too. I only asked if she had a preference on a kitchen utensil and I got a raised eyebrow and a dirty look. It would have taken just a second to give me an honest answer or even a "I'm sorry, I don't know", but this girl made me feel stupid. She is the most pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable salesperson that I have met in 60 odd years. I had a wonderful experience at BBandB today in Avondale and am excited to share it with my friendly fellow yelpers :) I was interested in purchasing a particular item that is a Bed Bath and Beyond exclusive...but unfortunately I waited too long, the item went on clearance and is no longer available online. I called the 1-800 number and was told that the item was available at the Avondale store. I talked my husband into going on a little shopping trip with me - we arrived at the store and I asked the ladies at customer service if they knew where to find the product. A manager (Peder) overheard my request and offered to take me back to where the item would be stocked. He told me en route that he thought they were sold out. He was right. But - he was able to find one on his store computer and order it for me (something I could not do on the internet or through the 1-800 number since the item was showing discontinued/out of stock). Thank you Peder for amazing customer service! I for sure received great service - NOT the kind you normally expect to receive from a big box shop. Pedar is a true asset to this organization.
