I bought my last two cars from Beck Toyota and love, love, love the service department. We drive across town, passing other Toyota Dealers because of the great track record we have with them. On my recent visit, I wanted to order a new car. I was surprised to find very little on the lot. Toyota has put a hold on any new Prius, and there were no new Rav4s to test drive. I was told I could leave $1000 deposit and if a car came in that fit my description, that I could reserve it. I know car shopping has changed, but it's hard to make a $40,000 decision and waste several months waiting, when you can't even test drive the car. I'm not blaming Beck for the unfortunate lack of inventory but I don't see how Toyota will keep customers. I'm giving the service department 4 stars here. Ok , so I have purchased a Camaro from Hubler Chevrolet and 3 Toyota's from Beck . Took my daughters car in for service and whoa what seemed to be a similar experience from Beck turned into a debacle. The staff at the desk was friendly but a week after we took the car home my wife noticed a noise coming from the drivers side wheel . Apparently/ the service tech did not tighten the lug nuts . Just blessed that when my child and wife were driving around Brown County State park that a disaster didn't happen or on the way to the park on 135 . Also, they were supposed to change the cars filters well I opened the hood and based on the number of leaves there is no way it has new "filters" as the receipt shows I paid for . So when I called before I found out what the issues were to notify Hubler they said the next apt was 2 weeks . Well this was a giant red flag that they just don't care about long time customers. I forgive who ever made the mistake but you need to seriously make some changes. read more

Do not go here for service! I very rarely ever do reviews, but this experience was truly eye opening. My sister took my mom's RAV4 to do a standard oil change when the light came on for maintenance. When she got there, they told her that she needed to change the battery on the car because there were some issues with it. So she agreed to the service not knowing it was just changed 6 months prior and charged her for the service even though it was covered under warranty. I talked to Andrew about it (different service advisor) and it literally felt like I was talking to a snake. He tried to deny any mistakes made by the service department at first trying to justify the service. There were two moments that were appalling, the first was when I showed him the multi point inspection and it said the battery was good, he proceeded to tell me that they marked it wrong on the paper and it needed to be replaced (fishy). The second was when he checked the date when the battery was last replaced (June 2024) and told me with a straight face that it had been a year and a half since the last replacement (what?). Many of my family members are LOYAL customers to Beck and my mom had done service here for close to a decade. We had a lot of trust but we will never go back again! read more

We have been wanting to make a long term car investment. I have owned a RAV4 in the past, and loved it. Needing an all-wheel drive, and knowing Toyota's dependability, along with my fondness for the RAV4, I set out to find a gently used/almost new RAV4, but was striking out with the car situation. We decided we we going to have to get a new one. We set up our appointment back in late September to go buy our new car. Upon arrival at the dealership, we were introduced to to BEST car sells person anyone could ask for, Derek. Sadly, there wasn't a RAV4 in the lot new or used to even set eyes upon. Derek started finding out what kind of car I wanted, and found one that was just starting production. It would be delivered in two to thee weeks, or so we thought. We put a down payment on it and left. After 2 weeks, I called to check on the progress, and to get an estimate on delivery, and I was told it would be mid NOVEMBER!! I questioned the lady on the phone to make sure she was looking at the right car, and she was rude to me (the only negative interaction I had through this whole process). My heart sank. As mid November neared, I called beck and was told that the car was in production and would be delivered by the end of the month. I received the car Tuesday before Thanksgiving!! If you are going to buy a new car in this market, you are going to need patients and you will need an alternate means of transportation for a while. I took my 2021 Toyota in (14,011 miles). I leased it new from the factory through Beck. I have moisture in a head light. The woman checking me in said it was my fault. That washing it in a car wash caused the problem. That the cost was over $1,700 for 1 headlight. Guess that means you can't wash these Toyota's. Odd, I've washed cars before. I bought my RAV4 at Toyota of Muncie and I honestly usually make the drive to have any services performed there. Due to no available appointments when I was last in Muncie I had to go to Beck since it was closer. Still not impressed. When I arrived to pick up my car the gentleman told me to sign my name and another gentleman would go pull my car around. I waited and he pulled up and told me he noticed they didn't put my glove box in all the way so he was going to pull back into the service area and fix it. He fixed it and then told me he'd drive the car in front of mine through so I could drive through. I said wouldn't it be easier to back out and he was like yeah, I'll direct you... so it went from they would bring me my car to I needed to back it out of the service area... I have Toyota care which is a big reason why I purchased my car and Muncie after EVERY service hand washes and dries my vehicle every time.. Beck does not.. Beck's Repair shop lives up to the horrible reputation. Terrible customer service from all staff on the phone and in person, specifically Melissa. They are rude, aggressive and when brought to the attention of a supervisor named Clark, immediately dismissed. IMMEDIATELY, because of their "fan club?" They have they apparently can do no wrong now. I've been here before and gotten lack luster repair and customer service and today my roommate went and received the same shitty all around service. There are plenty of better repair shops with better prices, customer service and repair service. Save your money and time by avoiding this repair shop. read more

The only reason I rate this dealership with two stars is because of the incredibly wonderful gentleman I worked with in their service department. If this review were only about his customer service he provided, I'd be requesting more than 5 stars. Unfortunately, they lost my business thanks to the complete disrespect and level of unprofessionalism I received from their GM, Owen Webster. To make a very long story short, my car broke down on my way to their service center. As you can imagine, if your car breaks down, chances are this is not going to be an inexpensive fix and of course it had to happen right before the holidays. After being handed off to more people than I care to tally, in order to determine if any payment options existed, I was connected with Owen. To summarize, I have never been treated so poorly, disrespectfully and unprofessionally by ANYONE, especially someone looking to get thousands of dollars worth of business from me. In short, he spoke over me, tried to out talk me, laughed & mocked me, told me I was wrong about what I had actually asked an employee (his employee told him I had asked about financing a trade in car- literally not one of those words came out of my mouth. So somehow his employee knows specifically what I said better than I do?) and when I asked to speak with someone else, was told it wasn't an option. Bumper to Bumper coverage quite literally doesn't cover the bumper! My bumper flew off my certified pre-owned Highlander about a month after purchase going down the interstate. When I brought it in, they said there is "no way" a bumper just falls off & I "must have" made contact with something. I made contact with nothing. This is an issue that can be googled with this make/model. There are cheap plastic clips that hold the plastic bumper to the car & mine were broken. This was clearly missed in the inspection. A manager didn't even bother to take the initiative to talk with me. The front desk clerk told me I would have to take it up with my insurance. I will NEVER shop with Beck Toyota ever. I am still driving around without my bumper & anyone who asks, "What happened to you bumper?" I make sure to tell them Beck Toyota sells faulty vehicles with pieces that can fall off & they take no responsibility. Buyer beware. read more

I've had nothing but a nightmare of an experience with this place. I originally brought my truck in to be repaired for my window that was not going up properly. They fixed that but also in the process scratched my paint when they were backing it out of the garage or whatever. They did not offer to pay for my window and they were very unapologetic and expected me to pay for that after scratching my paint. I got a rental and they fixed the paint job And a few days later I noticed Red speckles of paint on my window on the side they ixed and repaired. Also found a paint sponge in the bed of my truck and a powdery substance that I wiped down. And been more than a few times that your service employees have been rude and had a hateful tone. You guys are the most unprofessional place I've ever had to encounter. Unbelievable. You're lucky I don't get a lawyer. read more

I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to go through some features, reset my dash panel back to factory settings and fix a sensor. I explained all of this in detail to the person that set up my appointment. Every three days I had a text alert for my appointment. 20 minutes before my appointment as I'm in route, I received a call that my appointment was being cancelled because they were behind. I had to take 1/2 a day off to make this -appointment. I was told to call ToyotaEntune to reset my car, google the maintenance light and that my car screaming at me when one person sets in the back and wants all three buckles fastened is just "Toyota" and they are not going to do anything about it. I was quoted 1 price on the phone. Once I dropped off the vehicle, they called the next morning and the pricing was double. No additional service from what I'd requested during the quote, but suddenly, the quote I was given was "per pad set". Then why wasn't that said when it was quoted, especially when I stated I need front and rear?? I stopped taking my other car to them because they kept telling me I needed to change my water pump. It's held up just fine for 10yrs since they first told me that. I should've known better than to try again, but figured it was just brake pads. Lesson relearned. I had bought a 2019 White RAV4 at this dealership but traded it in on a 2020 Blue RAV4 at another dealership. I had continued to get my ToyotaCare services at Beck. I was due for my 30,000 mile oil change. When I called to make my appointment, I was told my vehicle had a recall for the fuel pump so I went ahead and okayed that service as well during the same time as the oil change. My husband took it in to Beck, got the oil change and they swapped the fuel pump for a different one. I was driving it home from work, the same day, hit the gas to get on the interstate, and nothing happened. The car would not go. I kept pumping the pedal and finally it took off. The rest of the way home it was ok. Next day, it's running ok until I go to pass a car. Same thing happens. I'm in the other lane, halfway around a car and the gas just cuts off! So I'm pumping the gas pedal again until it starts sputtering and goes. Luckily not cars were coming toward me or I could have died! I get back in my lane, the car is sputtering like it's running out of gas, the check engine light comes on, and the hybrid malfunction light comes one. I turn around and limp it home doing 35 on the highway sputtering all the way. Call the service dept at Beck. They set an appt for that Monday at 3 pm which causes my husband to have to take half a day unpaid from work. He get to the service department to find out that they had not checked the VIN number when they serviced our 2020 BLUE RAV4 so they had put a fuel pump meant for a 2019 RAV4. Service guy said it happens all the time! So apparently they don't even look at VIN numbers at time of service, which after talking to Toyota's hotline is protocol. The service manager blew us off and made it out like it's not a big deal that they put the wrong part on our car. They had also put the wrong air filters on too since they thought this was our old 2019 RAV4. Which besides different VINs, one was white and the other dark blue so they didn't even look similar. We have bought several new vehicles from them and had our service done there for years but not anymore. After this, we'll never step foot in there again. We have also filed a case with Toyota on their hotline and spoken with a caseworker from there. read more

Absolute worst service department. If I make an appointment for a specific repair, take my day to drive to the dealership, and when I get there you say "we can't help you because we don't have a body shop", I find that pretty offensive and an absolute waste of my time. Being told that a part on my vehicle "doesn't just break" (newsflash: it broke) and that I'm probably paying out of pocket for a fully warrantied car is the peak of ridiculous. I can't believe I paid for an extended warranty that they can't even cover. Also, a quick Google search on this issue will reveal hundreds of other RAV4 owners with the same broken hatch issue. I'm not sure how this isn't Toyota's problem, but it's not mine as the customer who paid for the warranty. Apparently, it all depends on if some larger Toyota entity will approve the repair and give Beck their cut of the money. Why did I pay thousands of dollars in extended warranty coverage for me to care if Beck gets their money back from Toyota? That is an inter-company issue, not the customer's problem, stand behind your product. Reading other poor reviews it seems most of them stem from the service department. Funny enough, I couldn't agree more. Someone needs to check this department, you guys are throwing away business due to poor handling of returning customers. I would be open to talk to somebody in charge of the entire facility and share more of this experience I'm currently having. read more

Just got my new car! I was worried after waiting for the car to come in (due to COVID, not the dealer's issue) they would try to change the price of financing terms on me, but everything was exactly what I expected. I've also been to other dealer's where they just automatically add in a bunch of "extras" you don't want or need. But Beck was totally transparent and didn't try to push anything on me I didn't want. This review is for the service department, so I can't speak to car-buying experience, but I've been taking my Camry to Beck Toyota for service since 2010. I've always been very happy with the service that I receive. 1) The oil changes are very reasonably priced, especially considering the $15 rebate they have had going on for a long time. Since my car uses fully synthetic oil, an oil change can cost upwards of $50-80 so I appreciate the little bit of money that I get back with that. 2) My service manager Chuck is always very honest with me and tells me what service he thinks is needed. I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of or that I'm being offered services that I don't need. My satisfaction with Beck's service department has me continuing to schedule my services with them, even though I now live in Carmel and have to drive almost an hour south to get my services rendered. Trust is an important factor when dealing with something that you use everyday and depend on for safety and reliability. read more

Back in February, we purchased a Toyota Van from Beck Toyota. Right around the time, our temp tags were to expire, the whole virus pandemic hit. Finally, when the BMV reopened, we made an appointment to have the title put in our name and purchase new plates. However, after this long wait, we were told by the BMV that Beck Toyota filled out the ST-108 (State Sales Tax) form wrong. The BMV could not issue our title or plates until we received a correct form from the dealer. We discovered what the problem was with the paperwork. Beck Toyota overcharged us on the sales tax of our van. Beck had entered a higher amount of the sales price of the van. The dealer did send us an updated ST-108 form with the correct sales price, but no refund. We had to wait another 30 days to have an appointment with the BMV. We finally did change the title and ordered our new plates. I first contact the GM (David Olivares) of Beck Toyota. He never responded to my letter. I next sent a letter to the President of Beck Toyota, Dennis Beck. He never responded as well. I thought Beck Toyota stood for more than simply selling a vehicle? What has happened to customer satisfaction? Doing the right thing? Fixing a problem that their dealership created? Owning up to their mistakes? We were overcharged on the sales tax, and at the very least we should have received the refund owed to us. Needless to say, they no longer believe in earning the right to have repeat customers. Their reputation with us has been jaded. After reading this, would you want to purchase a car or van from Beck Toyota? read more

This review finds me torn. If I were rating them only on service, they'd get 2.5 stars. If I were rating them on sales, they get 3.5 stars. So, I'm going to sit this one in the middle. I've bought two cars here, and the sales team doesn't pressure folks. I truly appreciate that about Beck. What I don't like is that I always go to the dealership knowing what my car is worth. I'm not talking what I can sell it for but what I can expect from a dealer knowing that they need to earn some money too. Before buying my last car at Beck, I sold a car outright so that I wouldn't feel like I wasn't getting screwed as I did for the first car I bought. So - if I was going to give one piece of advice, I would say sell your car outright. Don't trade. Beck wants more profit that most dealers (at least that is the way it seems given the very low trade-in offers they make). The business part of both deals was much quicker than other dealerships, and I appreciated that. Now, for the service department. I get so frustrated with Beck's service department. I feel like I am also being upsold for things I don't really need. I wait forever at this dealership. The service attendants sometimes lean on the edge of being rude, and the service department just doesn't seem to have convenient times for me to get my car there. When I moved out of state, I came to realize that my new Toyota dealership is much like Beck Toyota, and I continue to look for a place that treats me like a person instead of a dumb woman. Very disappointed with Beck Toyota. They keep selling me new vehicles with bad tires . I bought 2008 Toyota Camry with Bridgestone tires and car was shaking on Highway in three months. And last year I bought Toyota Camry SE and in 28000 the tire developed a bubble. So it was defective from the beginning plus they told me that I am buying Michelin tires and apparently the tires that they sold are not Michelin tires ! They are crooks. The salesman, Trent Perdue was very nice and polite. He knew we were coming and met us outside. He is a young man who is clean cut and very likable. We looked the truck over from the outside and of course Tony wanted to take it for a test drive. He started it up and it sounded great. Off he and Trent went. I personally wouldn't have anything but a Toyota. I have driven a Toyota for years and have never done anything but oil changes, filters, brakes, you know, the obvious. Anyway, we went in to haggle and deal. OurDodge truck of Tony's is a great truck with nothing wrong with it. It's a 1996 with 44,000 original miles on it. It has A/C and heat , but hand crank windows and no CD player, but no rust , runs perfect. Well, they come with an offer and I laugh and say no way. They make it sound like our truck is worthless! Oh no!! I'm too smart for that. Long story short, they came down on the truck we wanted and up on our truck because it's a great truck-yes it is!! We bought the truck and go to our credit union tomorrow after the fair then go get the truck. If you go to Beck Toyota or anywhere-do not be in a hurry. Walk away if you have too. I have brought my car here regularly for the last two years for regular oil changes and tire rotations. At my last appointment for an oil change I was informed that they could not do a tire rotation because they did not have the lug nut key. I thought nothing of it since it was done in the past and assumed they just wanted to finish the service sooner. Since then I had the plastic wheel well cover come off on my car and I made an appointment to get it replaced. We described exactly what was being done at the appointment and I brought in the car. I explained again when I arrived what was being done and I was told they'd take care of it. I waited for over an hour just to be brought back out to have the man explain to me exactly what I had told him and to say that they'd have to order the part. A week later, with the part now ordered, I bring my car in. As usual I am greeted by a condescending worker who talks down to me (shocker). She insists I don't have an appointment even as I have the confirmation pulled up on my phone and still seems clueless after reading the email. Frustrated, I go to the waiting room after being told I will only be here an hour. 2 hours later, the same lady tells me they need the lug nut key (which you would think a car dealership would have on hand, but hey what do I know?). I told her I've had tire rotations here in the past and I've had these aftermarket wheels as long as I've had the car to which she says there is no record of. In conclusion, the wait times are ridiculous, I am talked down to every time I am here, and nobody seems to have a clue what they're doing. read more

I've had horrible experiences with Beck. I scheduled with them to get recalls fixed and they didn't tell me until the day of the appointment that they didn't have the parts needed. Then they told me it would be 7 months before they would be able to fix the recall. Finally I came in to get the recall fixed 7 months later and they have been rude. Many things that Toyota promised, such as that it would only take an hour or so and that I would get a free rental car, turned out to not be true. Or I guess it would have been true but apparently the rental car company is out of vehicles...? Annoyed. read more

I should start out by saying that my wife and I have very high expectations of any dealership, and we don't just automatically trust them. I ask a lot of questions and do extensive research on every single repair and vehicle purchase. So far, we've purchased two brand new vehicles at Beck Toyota, an '05 Camry and a '13 Camry. Both vehicles still run great and are in the family. On both purchases, Beck had the best pricing after we worked with the salesperson, and we found their salespeople to be quite pleasant to deal with. We also go to Beck for all repairs on both Camry's (since purchasing the '05 Camry). Their repair shop's pricing is inline with non OEM shops and they fix it right the first time. They're also very professional. Can't beat that. Overall, we've been very happy with every repair and purchase experience we've had at Beck Toyota since we started going there in 2005. read more

I made an appointment for 10am almost 4 weeks in advance but when I got there I was told it would be 2 hours to get the tires rotate cause they were backed up( I thought the whole reason to make an appointment so your vehicle would get right in there) after 3 hours in the wait room I went to check what's going on, a very rude and aggressive blonde hair lady with the initials MW approached me to tell me how very hard their staff is working back there and their doing the best they can and besides I signed a paper that said it would take 4 hours. I told her that the man I talked to told me it would be 1 to 2 hours and he'd try to get it before the 2 hours. She said I should have read the work release that I signed cause most people do read the 2 page work release from top to bottom and I'd be surprised how many people do read it, then she stomped off. I got my truck back with no charge cause it took so long but I will never go back there again. I got 3 Toyota's I was planning to take there for servicing but never again. I'll stick with Firestone. Their fast friendly there. Btw. I gave the same review to Beck Toyota when they asked me for it but I've never heard anything back. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to purchase a new car. My husband and I went here last Friday, looking for a new Rav4, but also wanting to check out Highlanders and 4Runners. The salesman that helped us lacked product knowledge and basic selling skills. Instead, he had a lot of cheesy one liners and couldn't answer our questions. The salesman said he would have the manager come talk with us about the Toyota employee discount (my stepbrother works for Toyota), but the manager never came to speak to us and the salesman acted like he knew how to sell with the employee discount, but he did not have a clue. Going to Beck Toyota was a complete waste of our time. So, we drove two hours to Florence, KY and purchased the next day at Kerry Toyota. I am sure that not everyone has such a horrible experience here, or they would be out of business by now. It would have been fine if the salesman didn't have all the answers and was honest with us, told us he wasn't sure but would give us the accurate info soon. This review is on the service department. It lives up to the terrible reputation of dealership service. After an oil change i found my Tacoma was leaking oil, I took it back in. They checked it out and said no big deal the Tech just let oil get all over the Skid Plate. They tried to clean it but it would have stopped after a while. So guess you should just expect oil to drip from your truck after an oil change here. Of course I got to pay the dealership premium price. I gave them another shot, tried to drop it off for a express change while I waited. They checked me in, tool my keys the whole nine yards, them told me they could get to it next Tuesday! Let me start by saying the staff is always pleasant but that didn't make me feel good after this incident. My 2014 Toyota Avalon had a recall on the blizzard pearl paint. I was without my vehicle for over a month due to additional problems that occurred during repairs. The loaner vehicle that was given to me was disgusting. Food and crumbs everywhere as if a toddler had been driving. I was so pissed that I had to clean the car that was loaned to me by a reputable dealership. Fast-forward to the repairs...my windshield was broken and my tinted window was scratched while being painted.. Both were repaired at no cost to me. So here's the good part. Upon receiving my vehicle back from repairs, the inside of my vehicle was beyond filthy. Covered in dust, dirt, and boot prints. I should not have been surprised since the loaner was given in the same filthy condition. Granted, the 3rd party is more than likely responsible for all the dirt and dust, but should Toyota not do an inspection of some sort before returning cars back to their LOYAL customers? Needless to say I will never return to Beck Toyota and will be expressing my disgust with their staff and manager today! read more

Toyota dealership with there own bodyshop poorly repaired a structural damaged vehicle . Did not report the damage to any agency so they could sale the car with no accident carfax. Beck toyota acknowledged they messed up. And the car did not meet the strict certification process. I put the car through a post crash inspection were they found damage that was not fixed properly showed this to Beck and said they will do nothing to make the car safe again. Purchased an Infiniti 2014 Q70. Drove exactly 1.5 miles after signing all contracts. Hissing air while applying the brakes? Took the vehicle back immediately. Beck blew us off. My turned in vehicle gone. Stuck with this used Beck Toyota doctored car. Beck sent us to Car X. No problem could be found but Dreyer and Reinbold Infiniti did a complete diagnostic. $2600.00.
