I ordered a chicken fried steak and it was very tough, could not cut it at all. picked the entire thing up and tried to take a bite. I ended up just eating my sides. The chicken fried steak looked like road kill. A few hours later, I threw up and had diarrhea. I tried reaching out to them and they just ignored my message. Pathetic. Went this evening wanting somewhere different, and definitely found this place to be awesome. When we arrived it was seat yourself. Service was quick and attentive. The waitress was not even our waitress but greeted and took drink order and said our waitress would be with us shortly. The waitress showed up almost immediately thereafter and took our order. Menu is simple with excellent choices available. Now this isn't no California/New York menu watching gluten, calories and whatever other ingredients they don't tolerate, this is country style cooking and food. It's has classic burgers, catfish and shrimp, chicken fried steaks, chicken fried chicken plates or sandwiches. They also have chef, taco, grilled chicken and chicken tenders salads. I tried the chef salad today and it was amazing. The ham and turkey portions were very generous and the tomatoes and lettuce were fresh. This was not a lettuce entree like most places. The dressing serving was very generous and I was even asked if I wanted more during my meal. I really can't recall any restaurant ever offering additional dressing during the meal without me having to ask for it. They had a country duo playing and they were very entertaining. The music blended in well to the atmosphere of the cafe. Also they were not blasting over everyone's conversations. The pies looked delicious but I was too full to try. Great restaurant if you live in the Jim Crow era. I witnessed the owner berated and degrade a mother of 3 after they sat and waited nearly two hours to be served. Then the POS threatens to call the cops after the family told him/her they felt it was unfair they waited that long to be served. The family was then forced to pay for the meal. The owner then went on to call the family racial slurs and told them to go back where they came from. Which is a very original request by the way. You would think with the climate of the United States and COVID, a hole in the wall establishment as such would be trying to be as nice to customers as possible. But no not this fine establishment. Apparently they can pick and choose who to serve and how to treat them. The owner told the customers that they are ugly because they are BROWN. She then goes to on to tell the family she offered to comp them a piece of pie because that's all they are worth. This was like a scene out of the movie Mississippi Burning. This establishment of fine artery clogging obesity apparently only caters to poisoning fine locals. Honestly after what I seen, one star really doesn't do this place any justice. Do yourself a favor, skip a couple of exits and visit Whataburger. Morale of the story is you never know whose watching. I feel sorry for the owner because somewhere is that fat overweight body there is scared little white woman who is dying to play victim out of flat out fear. Two years have past since our last visit to Bebo's, which was a 4 star experience. However; today was the opposite in several major categories. While the waitstaff was attentive to our order and requests, yet no one, including busing or cook staff were wearing masks or gloves for protection. We are under State requirement to wear masks. While I know it's difficult to enforce upon patrons, staff must be in compliance. We all ordered catfish and shrimp. The catfish was just average- ok cornmeal breading, but more like cheap frozen nuggets instead of quality meaty filets. The shrimp was, by far, the biggest let down. First and foremost, minimum quality in Texas must be Gulf shrimp. You can serve all the extra-jumbo white, farm raised shrimp and it will still be tasteless and unacceptable, like Chinese food buffet. There can never be a substitute for wild caught gulf shrimp. The batter was a bit too thick and the shrimp were obviously not dry dredged first which caused lack of adhering to the shrimp. Hope that management makes some changes to take Bebo's up to a 4-5 star. read more

Bebo's is literally a little dive in Prosper Texas. I say dive because there is a wrecked airplane sitting beside the parking lot. Apparently, the pilot heard about the great food there and couldn't resist. When you walk in the door its sensory overload. The walls are covered with nostalgia. The food is great and there is a LOT of it. The all you can eat seafood basket starts out with all I can eat! Thats how much food you get. The chicken fried steak is so big i have to take half of it home with me. I order CFS at any restaurant that serves it. They have Elvis's impersonators and Johnny Cash impersonators, Karokie night. Fun family time. They don't serve alcohol so BYOB they don't mind. They also have blue grass and that is hard to find. The cook is amazing, and she RUNS that kitchen! She does an amazing job for the food she has to put out. You couldn't ask for a nicer wait staff, and they work hard for everyone. I went in on blue grass night, but I had already had dinner. The smallest table they had was a 4 top, so I felt guilty about taking up the space. I ordered dessert and told Cassie, my waitress, I was really there for the music. She said "thank you so much for telling me. I won't come back to ask if you want anything else." I told her I would get her attention when I was ready for my check. This freed her up to take care of the folks that were eating dinner. I enjoyed the band, and the dessert, motioned to Cassie I was ready to go. I gave her a nice tip just because I saw how hard she was working here other tables and I was alone. Times are hard, If you can afford to go out and eat you can afford a nice tip for these young ladies because they bust their rear ends to take care of you. Looking at the other reviews...some people just have to complain. They are still trying to get back to "before the pandemic" staff. I wish there were more stars!!! read more

My folks love this place - so much that they asked me to join them for the 40 minute drive to eat there on a Saturday night to experience what it is all about. It's your normal diner joint - burgers, chicken fried steak, a really, really poor excuse for salad, and previously-frozen crinkle cut fries. It took 10 minutes from being seated to be acknowledged by any wait staff. When the waitress did come over to the table we asked for menus and she said "I'm just getting your drink orders", did so very tersely, and left. A waiter came by about 5 minutes later with the menus and set down our drinks - these were the only drinks we got for the entire meal, no refills. It took another 45 minutes for our food to make it to the table. The food wasn't bad, the food wasn't great, it was something you could find at any place with the label of diner. After a manager walked by I asked for my son's drink to be filled up with whatever was in her pitcher because he'd gone so long without a drink and she asked if we needed anything else, and we replied our ticket. It took another 10 minutes for our check and we were finally out the door. I'm glad my folks had a good first experience, but they repeatedly apologized as we walked out of the restaurant - which is pretty sad. If you are an Elvis fan, swing by to check out the swag and the Elvis impersonators that take the stage from time to time but don't plan to walk out of here with a meal to write home about. read more

They have THE best fish and shrimp platter I've ever had. It's fried, but the batter is awesome and the shrimp are huge.

Excellent food and service. My wife's burger was good size with very tasty onion rings. My chicken fried steak was the biggest I've ever seen. We have eaten at this café before and the food was very good. However, our visit on Saturday, early afternoon, the place was crowded and none of the servers were wearing masks. I'd heard a lot of good reviews about this place and eventually decided to check it out. We got there and it was almost empty (went at about 4 PM to avoid a crowd). Our drink order was taken and delivered fairly quick. It kind of went downhill from there. We put in our food order and then spent the next 20 minutes swatting at flies. For being almost the only customers there (one other table ordered about the time that we got there), it took a surprisingly ling time to get our food. When it was delivered, the waiter set it in the table and walked away. We had to catch him to ask for ketchup. The food was alright. The wife got chicken strips, a salad, fries, and peach cobbler; I got chicken fried steak, mashed potatows, okra, and coconut pie. The salad was delivered maybe a minute before the food was brought out, and some of the lettuce was brown. She said her food was alright, but notnecessarily good. She barely ate any of the cobbler,l and said she didn't like it. My chicken fried steak looked big, but after cutting into it I confirmed my suspicion: it was a normal sized steak that was pressed out to look bigger. No big deal if it's cooked a little less time than it would've been had it not pressed, but it ended up being a little crispier than I like. The mashed potatoes were good; not Cheesecake Factory good, but still pretty good. The okra was what you'd expect from frozen okra. Now, for the coconut pie. I'll start off by saying that I don't like meringue; had I known it was coconut meringue pie instead of coconut cream pie I would've gotten the pecan pie. Meringue comes off easily though, so I just scraped it off and ate the rest. I really wasn't very happy with the pie. About ten minutes after we finished eating, the waiter finally came over with our check. We had to ask to order dessert (usually they ask if you want it). I may eventually go back to try the catfish, as I've heard people say it's really good, but it won't be any time soon. read more

Brought a friend that was visiting from California to get a chicken fried steak dinner. It is so large that both my wife and her friend ended up taking half of it home. I ordered the shrimp and catfish dinner and although I finished most of it because I had not eaten lunch the portions were huge. The beans and vole slaw that came with it were delicious as were the catfish and shrimp. We are taking two more friends this Saturday and can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu. I called to ask about making accommodations for my son with celiacs disease. Katie was so helpful and advised us on what to order and things they could do for us. Lindsay was our server and she went over and beyond to make sure everything was gluten free and safe for our son. At the end of our delicious meal Katie, who was not even our server, came back to make sure everything was perfect. Five stars to this amazing staff and the food was great too!!! Felt rushed, didn't get refills, and no tartar or cocktail sauce for the fish and shrimp. The waitress herself was vocal about her frustrations and stating she was going to have a panic attack. I almost wish we were sitting on the other side with the young lady who was waitressing over there. She was calm and doing her best. I would rather have a waitress like that then the one we had who was vocalizing her frustrations. Had to walk up to the counter and get it myself. A bit embarrassing to have to do that and also embarrassing I recommended that place to my parents for lunch. Overall not impressed. I would go back if the staffing was better. The business owner doesn't believe that I ate at her establishment... I paid $24 cash for 2 of the most disappointing breakfast plates I've ever been served and I generally don't take pictures of food when it looks like slop! The eggs were rubbery, the bacon was burnt and the biscuits were drier than dust. And I now find it hilarious that the owner thinks fighting with people in her Yelp reviews is going to help... avoid this restaurant if you want a decent meal! read more

We felt like that was odd for being that early, especially a Sunday. We also felt that there was so few customers, that they still could have served breakfast... So, I had a burger, WITH a fried egg (still got my breakfast, lol) with tarot tots. Both were very good. My wife had a ham and cheese sandwich with onion rings. The onion rings were great as they are made fresh there, not something previously frozen. All in all, a decent meal and priced accordingly.
