Both service and food were fantastic! The chicken fried steak is a must and the BLT ( suggest adding avocado) was stellar!

Not sure why this says Kathy's country kitchen because it's called Bebo's! The service is why I give it four stars. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. He spent a lot of time with us telling us about all the memorabilia, which is another reason I love this place. Lots of Elvis and other types of memorabilia. There was live music when we were there and that was a lot of fun. I had a burger that had onions, peppers and 1000 island and it was really good, flavorful and juicy. The fried green tomatoes had no flavor and that was a bummer, but the ranch was really good and I'm picky about ranch because most people can't do it well. Their fried pickles were really good and I'm not usually a fan of fried pickles so that says a lot! My son-in-law got a huge burger that had a grilled cheese sandwich on either side of it! Onion rings were good and Fry's were meh. The fries kind of tasted like they were frozen. Though the pie tasted from scratch. All in all I wouldn't say the food is the greatest, but it wasn't bad either. Everything else makes up for the food. I've never had fried catfish and I've never wanted to try it until I saw their famous fried catfish plates that everybody orders so I will let you know how that turns out and it looks like a great place to go for breakfast ! I don't know where my other review went but not deterred because this is one of those places you are grateful to have found. It was actually by accident we found it after a friend and I searched for an open late lunch place. The outside doesn't really tell the story of what a gem this place is. Service: Though it was 3pm our server Katie was lovely in her demeanor and service. She was the only one there at that time so kudos for her handling it all. Food: A-ma-zing ! My friend had the catfish and shrimp dinner platter and I had the all you can eat catfish dinner. Both fabulous w shrimp being fresh, plump and the breading was light so taste came across quite nice; the catfish was perfectly cooked not dried out at all, actually moist and breading was crisp and not oily. Fries were crisp and nicely seasoned; Coleslaw was good and perhaps a dash of vinegar to cut the sweetness would put a crown on it. Servings were very generous so the $15 average price definitely worth it! We hear the Bebo's cheeseburger is to die for so will return w an expert...lol Environment: This is a place you come in jeans, tee and boots. Eat w your fingers and grab a paper towel from the roll hanging by the table. Elvis statue ready for pictures and I hear it comes to life on Fridays and Saturdays. What can I say, lots of country memorabilia and sound would be best a little less loud but it's all good. We had no space in our stomachs to try dessert. We shall keep it in mind for next visit. I've been to Bebo's a handful of times and have always had a great experience. This past weekend I was craving catfish so I decided to call in a to-go order. The woman who took my order seemed to be in a bad mood and was a bit rude on the phone. When I pulled up to the drive thru window, I assumed it was the same woman since her voice sounded the same and her attitude was pretty flat. Middle aged maybe. Blonde hair. "What's your name? It'll be this much..." No greeting of any kind. The window was left open and she took a call while running my card and this was the conversation... "Yeah so I went to go pee and saw all the blood. I don't know why I'm starting again. I always get terrible cramps when I'm on my period" She continued to talk about her menstrual cycle while I signed my receipt. I left a tip anyway because ??? We were messing around exploring Pilot Point but found this place close by in Aubrey. Eclectic decorating--inside and out! Love it. All the Americana looks authentic--not like the mass produced stuff you find in chain restaurants. Katie our server was awesome, friendly and just nice. That matters because you don't get it all the time. We started with fried green tomatoes...they needed some salt and pepper but overall tasty and just he right amount of tartness. They have signs all over that brag about the burgers...so we did it. They were lovely!! Not what one would normally say about a burger but just go with it. First of all, it had to have been 1/2 pound of meat. Cooked to well done but still juicy...and the flavor was great. Seasoned like a home made burger. Not too greasy. Krinkle fries (who doesn't love those) and huge Vidalia onion rings. All around worth the trip up here. Fun for kiddos too--the corn dogs look like corny dogs from the fair! Only drawback is the Trump banner hanging in the middle of the dining room...but I guess I'm not in Dallas anymore. read more

My husband wanted to surprise me with an awesome breakfast experience. Normally I do the picking. I was so happy when we pulled into Bebo's Cafe. It was cool from the moment we pulled in until the moment we walked out. I knew why my husband wanted to visit this restaurant.. it's so him. Elvis everywhere.. cool memorabilia... your eyes wonder everywhere. The service was fast. Everything tastes great. My only regret is not being able to check out every single detail on the walls. I agree with Heidi S. The catfish are no longer catfish filets, but now catfish nuggets. The coleslaw was room temperature and soggy. The fries and hush puppies were also soggy. The beans weren't that bad, but had too many onions to my liking. We always loved this place for catfish, but it seems to be going downhill. read more

Great southern cooking food. My mom has been raving about this place for a bit so I finally went with her. The fried green tomatoes tasted great not oily. I liked that they were in slices. Stopped in here for dinner on the way home, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious! The decor is very interesting and a must see. The service was a bit slow but very friendly. We started with fried pickles, which were crispy and very tasty. I had the chef salad. It was very fresh with lots of ham and turkey. The ranch dressing was very good. The boys loved their burgers. They were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The fries and onion rings were good, as well. The catfish was delicious with very flavorful breading. It was white inside and very fresh. I ordered the catfish and shrimp plate. The catfish was amazing, but everything else was pretty mediocre. We ordered the fried green tomatoes based on someone else saying how great they were, but they were bland. If they used the same corn meal batter that was on the catfish, these would have been outstanding. Maybe it's a personal taste, but fried green tomatoes should have a corn meal batter. The fried mushrooms were also very good. Customer service was good, but could have been better. Mainly when it came to drink refills and checking back. I could also do without the political signs all over the place. I don't care how someone votes, I just don't like seeing signs telling me. read more

YUCK! got a cheesburger, it was about 3/4 lb for$12.00. I cut it in half and it smelled bad, took a pinch off and it smell fishy. The other person at my table also noticed theirs smelled and said the chopped onions smelled rancid, then just ate the meat. I wasnt going to get food poision. Large portions of CHEAP quality food. If you like Elvis, the guy was entertaining and it was very busy. The waitress had trouble keeping up with crowd and was very disorganized. People had to go to the counter to get refill on water.not only that she had peoples sale tickets messed up, even after paying cash she brought us another one and redid tickets several times . Staff was friendly and atmosphere was Elvis inspired...we shared the catfish and shrimp and had plenty. Shrimp and catfish (both fried) had to be prepared in restaurant, not from a frozen bag...catfish had crispy coating and shrimp was nice size and not over done...meal came with good coleslaw (needed a little more pepper for my taste), red beans, and fries. This is really what I used to call a greasy spoon restaurant. It wasn't awful, it was just unremarkable. I had chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. The steak was a large battered cube steak and it wasn't really seasoned, just tasteless. My eggs weren't really cooked properly, overcooked and brown on one side. The gravy on the steak was thick, creamy and tasteless. All in all kind of like cafeteria food. I tried this place years back and thought it was good but it hasn't aged well. There are good options in the Pilot Point/Aubrey area and this is not one for me. read more

Just had the worst experience. Three of us went in. The waiter was 12 years old at most. The owners relative. The eggs were under cooked. Worst biscuit we've ever had. Chicken fried steak was so tough you couldn't eat it. When I asked them to correct it, they said all they could do was cook another chicken fried steak. I'm thinking it will probably be just as tough, so just take it off the bill. They ala carte the eggs and biscuit and gravy that came with the meal and give me a 3 dollar credit. When I asked about that the cook came out with an attitude like, "what do you want us to do". It didn't go well. There's another place 2 miles north that has 5 times the business. Now we know why. What an awesome hidden gem of a treasure! This place is crazy fun, great home cooking, spectacular staff and entertainment! I had the chicken fried steak and have zero complaints. We traveled from Prosper to eat here and I'm convinced by one visit this is where all these great small town folks congregate on Friday nights for conversation, fellowship, good food and a cold beer (BYOB)! Today went with a group for breakfast and service has gone downhill significantly Clearly the staff weren't prepared for anything more than one or two at a time. 40 minutes after ordering ALL of the orders came out at once.. none were hot, a couple were warm, most were stone cold. My third time coming here. I had good service the first two times. But today, the waitress with short blonde hair did not want to take my order. She refused to help me and told one of the girls to do so instead. I really don't know why other than me standing there. Waiting. I was friendly and smiling but nope, she would not help me. Maybe it's because I am Asian. Who knows. She kept passing me by even after someone told her to help me. And she would make every effort to avoid me. It was really strange. I would have walked away but another waitress finally helped me. I would have confronted that other one who ignored me but I didn't want to sink down to her level. Been waiting to try this place. Wish I'd passed on by. Can we just all agree that cute and quirky decor does not, by itself, make for a great restaurant? When the food is mediocre at best (frozen fries, bottled blue cheese dressing simply poured on the so-called bacon blue cheese burger, instant mashed potatoes) and the service is lethargic and unenthusiastic, that's one thing. I have been in AUBREY ALL MY LIFE. 24 YEARS. My whole family is very WELL KNOWN here. My family actually knows KATHY and BEBO Chandlers family personally. We have never really had a SHITTY experience until tonight. My mom, my aunt and her granddaughter came into town from Plano, my brother and I all decided to go to Bebos for dinner because we love the music, the atmosphere, and the food is always GREAT. We walk in and of course its always busy on a Friday. Our server was very sweet (I think her name is Maria? Tonight was her 2nd night and you could tell she was a bit nervous after tonights behavior) Very sweet, Pretty smile, and was very accommodating to our needs. She gave us menus and silverware and took our drinks. Came back straight away with our drinks and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. We decided on 2 appetizers, mind you being 8$ a PIECE. We decided on fried mushrooms and fried green tomatoes. She comes back about 5 minutes later and takes down our order. My aunt ordered Thr catfish and the shrimp as well as my mom, My brother got the plate with 2 whole fish (everything but the head), I got a "Chicken strip basket" and my little cousin got a grilled cheese (shes 7 years old). Side note: The fish and shrimp platters with beans coleslaw and hushpuppies are about 16$ a piece. My chicken strip basket was at least 12$ my cousins grilled cheese was 10$ and my brothers was about another 16$ So the sweet waitress brings us our food, asked us if we needed anything else. She walks away and as soon as we go to eat, EVERYTHING IS COLD. My mother didnt get her shrimp. My fries were cold, undercooked and really soft. The hushpuppies were burnt and also cold. The shrimp was like it was from the day before refried and rubbery. The beans, cold. The chicken strips were overcooked and basically shrunken. Wouldn't call that a chicken basket ever. The gravy was watery and cold. The ONLY thing that was actually somewhat hot was the fish. THATS it. So when our waitress came back, we told her everything that was wrong and told her what we didnt get. She took our plates and said she would have the cook "Remake" them and would bring us the stuff we didnt get. She comes out about 5 minutes later, and WE ARE ALL CONVINCED they sent her back out with the same plates she just brought us. We asked if Kathy or the kitchen manager (As I know him personally too) was here and she said "Yeah hes here but Kathy is not". So I told her to go get the KITCHEN manager as I know he would make sure my family and I would get what we asked and paid for. This isn't even the worst of it. Kathy's sister KAY comes out and comes over with her eyes looking in every direction, and I was FLABBERGASTED with how she treated me and my family. As we asked her what the problem with the food tonight was, she rudely laughed in our face. She then copped the biggest attitude in customer service I have ever had, she said "I dont know what you want me to do, if I send it back it will come back the same" My aunt then explained she just wanted A FRESH BURNING HOT MEAL, Made her touch the clearly cold food and she replies with "Don't get ugly with me it is hot". Then I finally said " You are F**K*** rude and thats just not the way you treat people. By this time about less than half capacity filled the restaurant and by this time she told My and aunt and I "That she wasn't gonna stand there and argue with us" I got so mad I had to get up and walk out. And by then she comped the whole thing. I dont normally write reviews but I felt as it was needed to put this out there. Especially since we are from Aubrey and our familys know eachother. Kathy, I know you and your husbands restaurant is yall's bread and butter, but your sister is not helping your business. If anything she is running off your PAYING customers and clearly cant run a kitchen because every time we come up there and you're running the show, EVERYTHING IS FANTASTIC!
