We stumbled upon this place midday on our way back from the shopping plazas nearby. It's a cute converted space with relaxing outdoor seating. We got the Popeye and the La Playa smoothies. The whey protein in the Popeye overwhelmed the overall smoothie. The La Playa has a refreshing minty aftertaste and the small chewy date chunks enrich the flavor as well. Seating can get a bit crowded but plenty of room outside and turnover seems to be pretty quick so you're never really waiting for a table. Came here for the first time on a great Saturday afternoon. The brown rice bowl was delicious with curried tofu and marinated chickpeas. I removed the hard boiled egg that the bowl also comes with. So I really don't mean to be rude but the management needs to set personal hygiene and appearance requirements. The two employees that were helping us looked really dirty, so much that my husband wouldn't even order from here. One of the women hair was up in a very messy bun falling down the side of her head, like that's how she rolled out of bed and came straight to work. Not only that but could fall into the food at anytime because it was so all over the place. The overall appearance of both employees just looking like they didn't shower, brush their teeth or hair before they came to work. Especially when you're working in a "healthy" restaurant, it's important to look clean or it's going to give off the wrong vibe. I got the green light juice which was good but only filled up 3/4 of the cup. The reason why I'm giving this place 1 star is because the staff was rude and service was bad. I waited for my drink for 15 minutes during which I saw multiple people come in, place their orders and leave with their drinks/food. I went up the counter once thinking maybe my order slipped through the cracks somehow and the lady at the counter was rude in her response and not helpful so I waited for a bit longer, then asked one of the severs if she could check on it for me and then she finally brought it out. Staff seems a little more engaged, its not hard to find a place that does healthy food but its a little more difficult to find a place that does healthy food well. I know everybody is hot on avocado toast but the "plain jane" is 5 Star toast. They also do a great corn / black bean salad now too. The espresso is probably the best and most consistent in the city. Oh I love this place! Where do I began? I think the big outdoor space is major plus to why I chose this place in the beginning to come and study. It's all under a big gigantic oak tree so you're always under the shade, nice and cool. This place just started having snowballs, and they're pretty good. The ice is soft and fluffy, not gritty like a snow cone. Syrups are quality and responsible (not hyper colored or sickly sweet), and I appreciate the non-dairy Malk options. Was super excited to try this place since it's a short drive from my house. Went with a friend who was visiting from out of town -- I got one of the already prepared juices (Pantera Rosa) and my friend ordered a smoothie. About 15 minutes later, after I had almost finished my juice, I noticed my friend still hadn't gotten hers. I went to the counter and asked what happened and the server was not apologetic at all. They had forgotten to make the drink, which would have made some sense if there had been more than 2 other patrons during the entire 15-minute wait. This was not the case. The manager looked at her computer, found the ticket, and then pretended like the smoothie was being made this whole time. Neither she nor the server/cashier apologized or tried to make up for the delay. Despite the fact that the juice ended up tasting fine, and seeing as this is in the Greenway area and most people don't have time 15 minutes to wait for a "fast drink", I don't see the place staying open very long. read more

This place was really disappointing. 1. They don't have many options for people with intolerances. If you need items dairy or soy free, don't come here. Most of the smoothies have dairy, as well as the smoothie bowl. 2. I decided to order the only thing on the menu that I could, a salad. Of which the only dressing options contained either dairy or soy. She did offer and olive oil lemon substitution. 3. I ordered a Ginger Spice and while it tasted okay, there were large chunks of spinach in it. Sometimes this happens, and I get that. But it was particularly annoying. 4. If you pay cash, pay with a $20 bill or less. I had a $50 bill and my order came to $21. A friend had to cover my meal because the woman working stated they don't accept anything over $20 but of course they DID NOT have a sign posted notifying customers of this policy. If my order came to $5 I can understand not wanting to make change because you'd have to give me $45 back. But my change was $29. That's a $20 bill, one $5, and four singles. Which is only really $9 in small bills. It showed a lack of customer service, and because of it and the mediocre food and drinks, I will never be back. read more

This place has a great ambience and makes me feel like I'm in Austin. The staff has been pretty friendly too. However, my first smoothie there was awful. It tasted like the fruit had gone bad and there was some strange acidic taste. I thought it was just a fluke, but the next time I went there, the smoothie tasted exactly the same. This time I exchanged it for a different one which wasn't much better. I would expect much higher quality smoothies for the price. I used to come here every day but every since the new management took over this place has gone down hill. I miss that red headed guy. He was always so kind and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. After he left, the good employees seemed to follow within a month or two. I don't know if they just stopped training their new baristas or if they just don't care but their lattes have gotten aggressively worse. On top of that the customer service sucks and all the cashiers do is complain about how their manager is never there. A few months ago, I asked for a refund and they told me they couldn't give me one because their manager wouldn't be there for another 3 hours. I asked how they opened and they said the manager gave them all keys. I understand that COVID has been incredibly tough on the industry but now the smoothies come frozen. You can tell they're not made fresh anymore and that's why I can't reccommend them anymore.
