Did not provide notification that the car was done because I was walking the lot, yet happy to send me a text and call me during the visit to try and sell me a new car. Wow. The best car-buying experience ever! We did our online research, not only of vehicles we were interested in, but especially of Toyota dealerships because those in our area are sadly lacking. We chose Beaver Toyota in St. Augustine, a 3.5 hour drive from our home in St. Petersburg, because of their positive online reviews, because they are rated #1 in the state of FL (and with good reason), and because they have a great inventory to choose from. We can't say enough great things about our sales representative, Sara Conklin, who was responsive, knowledgeable, respectful & personable. Thanks to her, we were able to choose a vehicle, view a video of the vehicle she was kind enough to film for us, and negotiate our trade-in before we ever left home. Visiting the dealership was a great experience, as the attention to the customer experience is apparent the minute you step in the door. Food & snacks are provided, depending on the time of day, and a comfortable waiting area with workspace & a beautiful saltwater aquarium make waiting for your vehicle a pleasant time. The employees are friendly & courteous to each other, as well as to the customers, and you can feel the "family" atmosphere. Our experience with Sir Lawrence Doligosa in the finance area was also a stellar experience. I wish I could give this dealership zero stars because that's exactly what they deserve. I recently bought a vehicle here, and it's been nothing short of a nightmare. They sold me a complete lemon--within 2 weeks, the left front axle was bad, the windshield trim came off and needed to be replaced A-Pillar. This is supposed to be a "reliable" vehicle? What a joke. This is a used car purchase, with 65,000 miles and granted its used. But to have it less than 2 weeks and not honoring these repairs is absurd. When I tried contacting the salesperson, it felt like I was talking to a brick wall. He couldn't care less. Every time I called; I got passed around to different people who all gave me the same empty promises: "We'll call you back"--spoiler alert: THEY NEVER DO. Not to mention, the attitude from the staff was beyond rude, and they acted like I was the problem for wanting what I paid for. The salesperson said the Manager won't help you. I've been to this dealer twice. The first time, I test drove a car and was interested before they told me it wasn't ready for sale yet. Why not research that before a test drive? The second time, I called ahead to make sure a car was available and they said yes they'd have it in the front for me. After a 45 minute drive down, they tell me it's in the body shop and it will be ready in a few days. They seem totally disorganized and disingenuous. We won't return. read more

I took my Toyota in for a recall from Toyota and got the problem turned around on me. The lower bumper cover was able to fall off the car, which it did while my wife was on I-10. This was before the recall was offered. I had it fixed by a friend and several months later I got the recall that the clips could work loose. I made an appointment, waited an hour and a half, when they came to me saying it would cost $650.00 to replace the lower bumper cover, because they said it was impacted by something. They also said they wouldn't replace the recalled clips for the same reason. So I guess it can just fall off again. If it was caused by a impact, what was it, where is it. Either way the clips should've been replaced to improve their flawed design and keep it from happening again. All I can say is they better be glad this didn't cause a wreck at 75 m.ph. and injured or killed my wife. I don't believe that Toyota says that they can't replace the clips even if it was impacted somewhere else and maybe the cover didn't fall off. It does show that a plastic fin right under the bumper was missing. I don't know if it may have got broken when 3/4 of the cover fell off at 75 m.p.h and dragged down the road till she could get stopped. Maybe it was halfway broken when my friend tried to fix it and he may have broken it the rest of the way off. I guess you have to be a service writer to know what exactly happened. Even if it was a small impact and I say small because nothing else was damaged in that area except a very small scratch above the fin shouldn't Toyota fix their flaws & keep it from happening again? I have been a faithful customer of Beaver Toyota in St. Augustine since 2013. A couple trade ins and 4 purchases. I felt the WOW. They have a new sales manager, who started in March. I purchased two certified pre-owned vehicles in December 2024. Mechanically, they are running well, so far. But the car I purchased for my daughter is cosmetically falling apart. After we purchased the car, same day as mine, they noticed a blemish on the roof. They offered to paint it. They repainted the entire roof. Mine also had blemishes on the grill which I noticed a few days later. Nobody offered a repaint at that time. After 7 months my daughter's Elantra started peeling. We checked recalls on paint and their was a class action law suit with an extension they 2023. But this car's vin, for some reason isnt included yet. We reached out to Hyundai, and they said she was in the window of case by case repaint. But when they found out Toyota already did a paint job it excludes any type of warrenty and that is all on Toyota and they need to own up to it. I have received alot of feedback from dealerships including Hyundai, that there is no way Toyota didnt know this vehicle may have cosmetic issues, hence their paint job. All we asked for was to have Hyundai paint the car and Toyota pay for it. Ryan, the Sales Manager said absolutely not and was more interested in us trading in a 7 month purchased for a NEW vehicle. That is the only way he would work with us. My daughter threw out a number, $8500 for a full paint job. He said "that sounds about right". Hyundai is right next to Toyota. Hyundai quoted us $3000. So Toyota lost a very family that purchases their vehicles over a measly $3000. I think they new the paint was an issue. I think he is stupid for agreeing that $8500 was the cost. I shopped online for weeks and tried to do my homework. I finally decided to purchase a Tundra Limited CrewMax. I knew what color and features I wanted and which ones I could live without. So it came down to finding the right one at the right price. I checked out Beaver Toyota's website and found my truck. It was an easy search but, the WOW price wasn't listed because they want you to interact with their internet sales person. So I messaged them and they invite you to come in and look. I drove quite a ways to get there. I described what I was looking for and told them I had messaged the internet person and salesman took me right to the truck I wanted. Easy!!! I looked at a few more which only reconfirmed my first pick. We got keys and went for a drive. I was sold and only left with negotiation. I looked at the sticker price and then the added sticker to the right of the original window/manufacturer's sticker. It had thousands of dollars worth of markups. Some were legit, although listed at highest possible price, and other charges were not such as market value adjustment of $3k. The tire upgrade although inflated was legit. I also wanted to add spray-in bed liner and a folding bed cover. I got the final price and then we talked about all the extras. I finally negotiated down to a fair price that excluded all the extra add-ons. I was satisfied with the deal. I did not like the internet process of hiding the prices. The salesman wasn't great and seemed to have to have someone else answer any questions I asked and of course the sales manager to do the negotiating. They did have a large selection of new cars/trucks and a decent selection of newer used vehicles. I used service once since my purchase. It was covered by the two-year Toyota Care that came with the purchase. I was told I could use that at any dealership and I called the one closer to my house and they told me I had to go to the dealership that sold me the truck. So one of them lied to me. The service seemed to take longer than expected for an oil change and tire rotation. Everyone was nice and kept my truck clean and the work areas clean. Wanted to share a recent experience at Beaver Toyota St. Augustine from a St. Augustine local. Honest Google reviews get hidden somehow and only misleading 5 star reviews are visible. TLDR; Paid for full interior/exterior detail car returned dirty and damaged. Management, Scott Boito, was condescending and disrespectful and there was no resolution. I was recommended by a family member to take my car for a full detail at Beaver Toyota because of their reputation and the fact that they are an established dealership so if I encountered any issues I would be able to get management involved to resolve them. Was told it would be $200 and take 2 1/2 hours to complete, I dropped my car off at 9am and the car was not ready until 1:30pm. I never got any updates or was contacted about the status of my car until I called around 1pm. I was not shown my vehicle until after I paid. During payment my advisor was quoting me $500 to fix "missing paint" on my roof which I thought was weird because I was only aware of a very small area about 1inch big where some paint was missing before the service. He also informed me he had called Honda to see if there was an extended warranty to cover the cost of the repair because this is a "known issue" with my make and model. When I saw my car immediately I noticed a large area of paint was missing on my roof. The advisor said it was because I already had a small spot of missing paint and it is what it is basically there's nothing they could do. I was left speechless and stunned in the parking lot and went inside to speak to Scott Boito who was a manager on duty. He explained that they do not use a pressure washer to detail cars they just spray it down and that they didn't do anything to cause my paint missing from my roof and it's my responsibility to fix the damage they caused. I'm a young woman who always has a hard time a dealerships, always getting taken advantage of, so I called a family member to come help me with my situation at the dealership. We inspected the car on the lot, had not driven away, and we both noticed the following items still dirty after a complete detail; door jams, floorboards, cupholder, stains on seat, and of course the missing paint on roof. Management was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional, speaking to us in a condescending, disrespectful, arrogant manner. Ultimately there was no resolution, no refund or coverage for the damage on my vehicle. Scott would not provide the dealership insurance for us to file a claim because he stated they only do that for damage over $4,000. Overall, I'm extremely unhappy with the service provided and I will never recommend Beaver Toyota to any of my friends or family. This is such a disappointment because it was so highly recommended to me because of previous experiences and I fully trusted this dealership to treat me and my car with the same respect and care as they had done for my family before. read more

the person I was looking at cars with initially (I won't name his name ) was amazing he was patient and really tried to ensure I got what I was looking for. However the sales manager Jerry and his twin brother was terrible. I drove an hour just see what they had. Jerry was pushy and even tried to convince me to get a bs car with high mileage and no warranty. In fact before I met him he had just had an altercation with another person so I should've known to walk away but again the primary person I was working with was awesome. We found a car and told him I would sleep on it get my check and come back the next day if it was meant to be. I did that I went to Navyfed got my preapproval and came back and they wouldn't sell me the car at the price agreed on because I wouldn't finance with them even after I provide proof that that is what we had previously discussed. This was unprofessional and they should've treated me better as an active duty member that just came back from overseas. I had my car there once January,17th 2022 for my scheduled maintenance and they never filled the windshield washer fluid they never changed the oil even though I said I want it changed which means I'll pay for it they damaged the floor on my driver side it's bent up I've been getting nothing but a run around and excuses from these people from over well over a year ago I called corporate several times over a period of months and nobody's doing nothing they gave me a run-around deliberately because they don't want to be responsible for damage THEY caused! They don't want to be responsible so they just ignore me or they giving me excuses. I've since reported them to the BBB posted this on YELP and will be posting the video I made proving they damaged my floorboard. I have a record of ALL the phone calls ALL the emails and ALL the phonies I spoke to. Service department quoted me over $5,000 of work that needed to be done on a car that's worth $4,500. My Toyota is over 20 years old but I've taken excellent care of it. Understandably, there were several issues that needed attention but to quote me $4,000 to fix a door lock actuator? Give me a break. The service tech was condescending and pushy. Not helpful at all. I ended up taking my car to local mechanic and they did the majority of the work for a fraction of the price. Avoid taking your car to a dealership if you can. Late February 2021, I purchased a 2021 Toyota Camry XSE gray with red interior. Beautiful vehicle with exception to interior leather problems which one would not expect in a high quality product. The driver's side rear seat was heavily wrinkled (see attached photo)! It took some time and finally replacement of the rear seat cover was completed by Beaver Toyota more than likely though warranty. Now, I'm dealing with a blemish on the driver's seat. My concern was INVALIDATED by the service manager at Beaver Toyota. "It's just a wear mark in the leather! Eventually, it will all look this way!" Really?!? But the car only has 1300 miles on it! I was shined on and told to start a claim through Toyota Customer Service. Probably because he was so busy to make things right and enhance my customer experience! I traded my Lexus there and had the option to buy with Lexus again. The service level is much better at Lexus and an issue like this would've been addressed, no questions asked!! We purchased a vehicle March 1st and have yet been able to register our vehicle because they do not actually have the title for the vehicle they sold us. We have been given the run around since around 25 days after we purchased. I am on my third temporary tag. We have been told there was a problem with the title, it's been lost, it's in the mail, etc. By law this should have been handled within 30 days. It was likely a slip up to have been told they were already having trouble getting the title before they sold the vehicle to us. Today we were told best case we may have the title by the end of the month. This is my 14th vehicle purchase and by far the worst experience I have ever had. If a title can not be produced we should be fully refunded especially when they have said they were having problems from the beginning obtaining the title from the auction house. I will never give any more business to a Beaver dealership if this is how little they think if their customers to constantly give them the run around. read more

Friday 5/7: we buy a 2020 certified preowned sienna, everything checked out. Carfax was clean. No scuffs on the car or anything out of the ordinary. They said they have no service reports and they say they have not done any work on the van. Saturday 5/8: we are in our driveway and notice the front bumper almost disconnects from the car on both sides. Right side more than left. Monday 5/10: I drive back to the dealership and demand it gets fixed. Question them as to why the bumper may be falling off. They answer with "the bumper clips sometimes just break!" And "maybe it got hit on the lot." Yet there are no scuffs on the bumper to show it got hit... I said um ok? So they put me in a rental car, sent the sienna to an auto body shop to be fixed. Wednesday 5/12: I get a call that it's fixed. I show up, and the bumper is not fixed and is almost like glued on- pic below. They said ok stay in the rental we will fix it. It'll be ready tomorrow (Thursday) Thursday5/13: no call about car or any update. Friday 5/14: I get a call they got a new bumper, painted it and sent it to an auto body place to be put on. They said it will be ready on Tuesday 5/18. Tuesday 5/18: no call or update So that being said I'm super suspicious of what's going on. When we get it back I'll be taking it to RPM automotive to have them hoist it up to check for repairs or damage. IT JUST TAKES WAY TOO LONG FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE. 2 plus hours is a bit ridiculous. My time before this I also had the tires rotated. That took 3 hours! Its very friendly, clean and comfortable. They offer sandwich's ,coffee and donuts while waiting. They do a good job but not considerate of YOUR TIME. read more

I have reached to three people at Beaver in regards to my referral check and have had no response. Everyone there just wants to pass you around. I will not personally refer anyone else to Beaver Toyota. I have made four phone calls in attempt to receive a referral fee for referring my daughter and son in-law . I also referred my co worker and her dad. Both bought vehicles. I spoke with Hot Rod twice and I spoke with Anthony before he left. I then called and asked for the manager Jon. Jon told me that a check will be sent out. I must say the customer service I have received and the run around I have gotten is not worth referring anyone else to Beaver. I also purchased a 2021 Toyota Siena last year from Seth and had a great experience with him and then referred my partner which also bought a 2022 Rav 4. Came in to buy a new SUV from them, we agreed on the closing costs of 36k with 4K down and 1k in trade in (31,000 owed in financing). They encouraged me to get their silver package. I said ok. Some how the total price I owed when everything was said and done for the car went from what I thought I would owe around 34,000 but now I owe almost 42,000 (same value for the vehicle as if it was never negotiated)...... dealerships are known to scam people but these will scam you up the wall.. This place has gone DOWNHILL -- from my glowing 5 star to my annoyed rating to now 2020 when their advertising Ms. Beaver is INSULTING customers with her childishness. Do NOT do business here.
