However the sales manager Jerry and his twin brother was terrible. I drove an hour just see what they had. Jerry was pushy and even tried to convince me to get a bs car with high mileage and no warranty. In fact before I met him he had just had an altercation with another person so I should've known to walk away but again the primary person I was working with was awesome. I was held hostage for 6 hours and was highly pressered into signing for a white car. I wanted a red car. I signed the contract and the very next day I was informed that there will be major layoffs. I called and requested that the contract be canceled. They refused to cancel. I called everyone I could. I didn't get anyone to help from the dealership, at corporate office and the owner never called me back either. After two long weeks of fighting with them. They said that they will not cancel, however, they had a red car. I gave up and brought the red car. Turned out that they had to cancel the first contract anyway and I had to sign a second contract in order for them to sell me the red car. Funny that they could cancel the first contract. I shopped online for weeks and tried to do my homework. I finally decided to purchase a Tundra Limited CrewMax. I knew what color and features I wanted and which ones I could live without. So it came down to finding the right one at the right price. I checked out Beaver Toyota's website and found my truck. It was an easy search but, the WOW price wasn't listed because they want you to interact with their internet sales person. So I messaged them and they invite you to come in and look. I drove quite a ways to get there. I described what I was looking for and told them I had messaged the internet person and salesman took me right to the truck I wanted. Easy!!! I looked at a few more which only reconfirmed my first pick. We got keys and went for a drive. I was sold and only left with negotiation. I looked at the sticker price and then the added sticker to the right of the original window/manufacturer's sticker. It had thousands of dollars worth of markups. Some were legit, although listed at highest possible price, and other charges were not such as market value adjustment of $3k. The tire upgrade although inflated was legit. I also wanted to add spray-in bed liner and a folding bed cover. I got the final price and then we talked about all the extras. I finally negotiated down to a fair price that excluded all the extra add-ons. I was satisfied with the deal. I did not like the internet process of hiding the prices. The salesman wasn't great and seemed to have to have someone else answer any questions I asked and of course the sales manager to do the negotiating. They did have a large selection of new cars/trucks and a decent selection of newer used vehicles. I used service once since my purchase. It was covered by the two-year Toyota Care that came with the purchase. I was told I could use that at any dealership and I called the one closer to my house and they told me I had to go to the dealership that sold me the truck. So one of them lied to me. The service seemed to take longer than expected for an oil change and tire rotation. Everyone was nice and kept my truck clean and the work areas clean. It's a bit of a drive for me to get there but, it has worked out so far. read more

Wanted to share a recent experience at Beaver Toyota St. Augustine from a St. Augustine local. Honest Google reviews get hidden somehow and only misleading 5 star reviews are visible. TLDR; Paid for full interior/exterior detail car returned dirty and damaged. Management, Scott Boito, was condescending and disrespectful and there was no resolution. I was recommended by a family member to take my car for a full detail at Beaver Toyota because of their reputation and the fact that they are an established dealership so if I encountered any issues I would be able to get management involved to resolve them. Was told it would be $200 and take 2 1/2 hours to complete, I dropped my car off at 9am and the car was not ready until 1:30pm. I never got any updates or was contacted about the status of my car until I called around 1pm. I was not shown my vehicle until after I paid. During payment my advisor was quoting me $500 to fix "missing paint" on my roof which I thought was weird because I was only aware of a very small area about 1inch big where some paint was missing before the service. He also informed me he had called Honda to see if there was an extended warranty to cover the cost of the repair because this is a "known issue" with my make and model. When I saw my car immediately I noticed a large area of paint was missing on my roof. The advisor said it was because I already had a small spot of missing paint and it is what it is basically there's nothing they could do. I was left speechless and stunned in the parking lot and went inside to speak to Scott Boito who was a manager on duty. He explained that they do not use a pressure washer to detail cars they just spray it down and that they didn't do anything to cause my paint missing from my roof and it's my responsibility to fix the damage they caused. I'm a young woman who always has a hard time a dealerships, always getting taken advantage of, so I called a family member to come help me with my situation at the dealership. We inspected the car on the lot, had not driven away, and we both noticed the following items still dirty after a complete detail; door jams, floorboards, cupholder, stains on seat, and of course the missing paint on roof. Management was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional, speaking to us in a condescending, disrespectful, arrogant manner. Ultimately there was no resolution, no refund or coverage for the damage on my vehicle. Scott would not provide the dealership insurance for us to file a claim because he stated they only do that for damage over $4,000. Overall, I'm extremely unhappy with the service provided and I will never recommend Beaver Toyota to any of my friends or family. This is such a disappointment because it was so highly recommended to me because of previous experiences and I fully trusted this dealership to treat me and my car with the same respect and care as they had done for my family before. read more

Service department quoted me over $5,000 of work that needed to be done on a car that's worth $4,500. My Toyota is over 20 years old but I've taken excellent care of it. Understandably, there were several issues that needed attention but to quote me $4,000 to fix a door lock actuator? Give me a break. The service tech was condescending and pushy. Not helpful at all. I ended up taking my car to local mechanic and they did the majority of the work for a fraction of the price. Avoid taking your car to a dealership if you can. We purchased a vehicle March 1st and have yet been able to register our vehicle because they do not actually have the title for the vehicle they sold us. We have been given the run around since around 25 days after we purchased. I am on my third temporary tag. We have been told there was a problem with the title, it's been lost, it's in the mail, etc. By law this should have been handled within 30 days. It was likely a slip up to have been told they were already having trouble getting the title before they sold the vehicle to us. Today we were told best case we may have the title by the end of the month. This is my 14th vehicle purchase and by far the worst experience I have ever had. If a title can not be produced we should be fully refunded especially when they have said they were having problems from the beginning obtaining the title from the auction house. I will never give any more business to a Beaver dealership if this is how little they think if their customers to constantly give them the run around. read more

I had my car there once January,17th 2022 for my scheduled maintenance and they never filled the windshield washer fluid they never changed the oil even though I said I want it changed which means I'll pay for it they damaged the floor on my driver side it's bent up I've been getting nothing but a run around and excuses from these people from over well over a year ago I called corporate several times over a period of months and nobody's doing nothing they gave me a run-around deliberately because they don't want to be responsible for damage THEY caused! They don't want to be responsible so they just ignore me or they giving me excuses. I've since reported them to the BBB posted this on YELP and will be posting the video I made proving they damaged my floorboard. I have a record of ALL the phone calls ALL the emails and ALL the phonies I spoke to. I'm not a healthy man and the aggravation these people have caused me it just as bad as the fsgr they caused to my new car. It was put down multiple times wrong on mine. With about 1200 miles more than they reported it having. . That they want to charge premium for for vehicle having only x amount of miles when actually it had a lot more. CARFAX make sure it's up to date and current. Bc e they aren't going to give you any info. My question still is this. If my paperwork is done then what is hindering them from Pressing send to send it in. I have reached to three people at Beaver in regards to my referral check and have had no response. Everyone there just wants to pass you around. I will not personally refer anyone else to Beaver Toyota. I have made four phone calls in attempt to receive a referral fee for referring my daughter and son in-law . I also referred my co worker and her dad. Both bought vehicles. I spoke with Hot Rod twice and I spoke with Anthony before he left. I then called and asked for the manager Jon. Came in to buy a new SUV from them, we agreed on the closing costs of 36k with 4K down and 1k in trade in (31,000 owed in financing). They encouraged me to get their silver package. I said ok. Late February 2021, I purchased a 2021 Toyota Camry XSE gray with red interior. Beautiful vehicle with exception to interior leather problems which one would not expect in a high quality product. The driver's side rear seat was heavily wrinkled (see attached photo)! It took some time and finally replacement of the rear seat cover was completed by Beaver Toyota more than likely though warranty. Now, I'm dealing with a blemish on the driver's seat. My concern was INVALIDATED by the service manager at Beaver Toyota. "It's just a wear mark in the leather! Eventually, it will all look this way!" Really?!? But the car only has 1300 miles on it! I was shined on and told to start a claim through Toyota Customer Service. Probably because he was so busy to make things right and enhance my customer experience! I traded my Lexus there and had the option to buy with Lexus again. The service level is much better at Lexus and an issue like this would've been addressed, no questions asked!! Friday 5/7: we buy a 2020 certified preowned sienna, everything checked out. Carfax was clean. No scuffs on the car or anything out of the ordinary. They said they have no service reports and they say they have not done any work on the van. Saturday 5/8: we are in our driveway and notice the front bumper almost disconnects from the car on both sides. Right side more than left. Monday 5/10: I drive back to the dealership and demand it gets fixed. Question them as to why the bumper may be falling off. They answer with "the bumper clips sometimes just break!" And "maybe it got hit on the lot." Yet there are no scuffs on the bumper to show it got hit... I said um ok? So they put me in a rental car, sent the sienna to an auto body shop to be fixed. Wednesday 5/12: I get a call that it's fixed. I show up, and the bumper is not fixed and is almost like glued on- pic below. They said ok stay in the rental we will fix it. It'll be ready tomorrow (Thursday) Thursday5/13: no call about car or any update. Friday 5/14: I get a call they got a new bumper, painted it and sent it to an auto body place to be put on. They said it will be ready on Tuesday 5/18. Tuesday 5/18: no call or update So that being said I'm super suspicious of what's going on. When we get it back I'll be taking it to RPM automotive to have them hoist it up to check for repairs or damage. Beaver Toyota has legit had my car in an auto body shop longer than I have had it and I own it! So sick of them. Never again! Just don't do it- take your business elsewhere! read more

I took my truck in for standard oil change and tire rotate and to check out a heater problem on Saturday. They discovered a coolant leak causing the heater problem and found a bad shock. They didn't have the parts so i had to wait til Monday. They sent a nice video showing the leak and the bad shock. I was offered a rental at no charge but didn't need so declined. Scotty the service advisor kept me informed of the progress. He was easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I picked up my truck on Monday afternoon. I was recently looking for a second vehicle, a used pickup. I saw a likely candidate and since I live in Neptune Beach around 45 minutes away, I called to check availability. They said come on down. I rounded up my brother thinking the price is right and it is advertised as low mileage and super clean so if it is advertised we'll just pay cash and pick it up.......I'm told who to ask for and on arrival, am passed from that person to a sales associate. No one can find the car. They tell me they just sent it to the auction but encourage me to walk the lot to look for it. I'm like how did I just validate this 45 minutes ago? So it's not there and I asked for the manager, he's super smug and tells me it was his decision to send it to the auction because they just repossessed it and it was trashed so even if it was there I wouldn't want it. So again I asked him why is it advertised as clean and low mileage if it is trashed and why when I called wouldn't they tell me that. I'm told that they sell more cars than anyone and there process is great, they'll give me some gas to make up for it. I'm like are you going to pay for the 3 hours of wasted time to drive down, look for the car and drive home? On the way to the gas station the salesman is telling me how with supply limitations they can just tell customers to pay or no deal and have all the power I am like wth? this is insane. I did call the GM and he was very nice to talk to, assured me he'd help find something else, etc. But guess what that follow up ended up being? One text saying they didn't have anything and that's it. Just lip service. It get's better, I get a text the next day and a call asking when I am coming in to see the truck. They had no record of me being there and were still trying to sell me the truck that wasn't on their lot. Bait and switch? maybe, terrible pompous service from the used car manager and sales consultant? certainly. GM was nice but made no effort to help, I ended up finding a truck fairly quickly so he couldn't have been looking very hard. No way I would waste even 1 minute of my time with these guys. I went in for the six month service this morning which took 2 hours to rotate tires and the inspection. My fan now makes a strange noise that was not there when I left this morning. I would think that since they had just inspected my car they would not have given it back to me with that noise present. I placed a callto the service manager and have not had a response to my call for over 30 minutes now. I do have an update to this review. If you are in the market for buying a new or used car please call Rodney. We were thinking about trading my Camry during this visit and when Rodney followed up with me I explained the issue with my car and he made a point to drive to my house and fix the noise which was a leaf that fell in the interior fan. My mother took her mint condition FJ cruiser to the Beaver service department after seeing a few drops of oil on the garage floor. The estimate for parts and labor on the major repairs she needed came in at a whopping $5,800. That's a pretty big chunk of change. They wanted to make sure she had options so they generously offered to buy her car and it's major problems for about a third of the Kelly blue book value. Who doesn't love options? I'm all about options. I didn't love the two they gave her at Beaver so I sent her to JJ's Auto off Beach Blvd to see if they could offer her a better price for the major repairs she was told were necessary to get her car back on the road over at Beaver. JJ's found no evidence of the major problems diagnosed by Beaver Toyota so they just went ahead and fixed the very minor problem they did find for $220. Great news for my lovely Mum. Not so great news for anyone who makes the mistake of taking their car to Beaver for service. I'm disgusted and you should be too. They aren't mildly dishonest at this dealership, they're criminally dishonest. I am prepared to create a ruckus about this unethical and predatory business until I see consequences.
