I do have wavy curls that go in different directions, which is why I wanted someone with more experience. They made an appointment for a cut right after the consult. The four photos are 1) what I wanted, 2) the pre-cut side, 3) pre-cut front, and 4) the "master" cut. Complaints: She split her time between 4 clients at once, so was always leaving in the middle of cutting and seemingly forgetting what she had started, even WITH the photo I had. With the staccato stop and starts, it took longer than necessary. She charged me a whopping $125 for a cut that is not that difficult!!! It was a shock when I got to the register, but she was already gone to her multitude of simultaneous clients. I also bought a $16 travel size bottle of dryspun texture spray she recommended as I will be traveling for 3 weeks. The problem? The tip I added for the cut was also applied to the spray bottle, but I did not know until I got the emailed receipt as they would not give me a printed receipt!!! Frankly, I looked better going into the salon than leaving. The total damage was over $168!!!! There was no coloring, no extensions, and no great "master" cut! Although everyone was quite friendly, I will not be returning. It was robbery to charge that amount for the cut and service I got. The best part of the experience was her assistant who washed my hair.

B.J. was already booked so I was set up with Lupe. The day of, everything went to heck in a hand-basket. My car battery went dead, the dress I'd ordered was a mess, my leg from an earlier fall stopped working, (I ended up in wheelchair for the wedding), there was more but you get the picture. I finally managed to get the car going and flew up there just in time. Hadn't met Lupe before but trusted B.J. so hobbled in and Lupe was beyond great! Oh did I fail to mention in my mad stressful dash I left my purse at home. So no money, hello! Didn't faze her, she made me look the best and probably didn't know if I'd ever show up again. Promised her I would be right back with the money, sent a friend, she got lost and couldn't find it, I know, I know. Anyway if you want a place that everyone of the people take care of you Hair in Motion is it! I originally spoke with Eric on the phone about an appointment with him or Emily and he stated that they are booked far out but KT? was available. I explained to KT to not follow the bad cut but even it out so that it blends and stacks with textured ends. I went home and saw that not much from the back was touch and the long and short layers were still there and thought she misunderstood. I, also, entioned that I never want my hair colar short. You can see by the before and after that there was a chunk taken out on one side with long hair next to it and the back still had long strands that didn't blend with the other side but were the same as before. I was expecting better for an expensive cut and I definitely would have waited for Eric. I want to try them again but not with her. Only my second post in many, many years.

I've 'had my hair done' like this before and it was a multi-day process that left my hair feeling like a dry Christmas tree in April. Not this time. He explained everything despite me saying "yeah, you can't f it up so don't worry." In truth, it could have been f'ed up but it was f'ing fantastic when he was done. I was so excited I sent a pic to 4 friends while sitting in the parking lot and the overall response was "holy s$&t. That's fantastic." Trust me, they would have told me if they hated it. She just got done coloring my hair bring pink in fact, a pink ombré. It looks great. Courtney is also my makeup artist. She has accompanied me to photo shoots and prepares me for various events when needed. I couldn't speak more highly of any other hair stylist. She's a great person too, fun to talk with. I'm thinking this makeup will be ruined for this 2 hour shoot. Can I say flawless the whole time. It was over 115 and the makeup was still perfect. I'm not a big makeup person so I felt this makeup is going to be so heavy and caked on. But total opposite it looks super natural and lightweight (hopefully that makes sense).
