Consistently great. Have had soft shell crab po boy (when in season), crawfish po boy, boudin balls, etoufee. Always good with fast service. Grew up on the gulf coast and can vouch for this trailor. Was looking forward to trying this since we had heard so many good things. We had a terrible first experience. we ordered the shrimp basket and the blackened salmon which was quite expensive. Everything was super salty! It would have been good but someone obviously had gotten really carried away with the salt shaker! you could see salt coating everything! We tried to eat it but couldn't ,when we went to complain the man could not hear me because the music in the food truck was so loud! I suggested he turn it down so he could hear me. He took my food from me and angrily threw it in the garbage! So rude! No very good business manners. So much for the customer being right. Sent me on my way with no refund! This was pretty darn good. That alligator was da bomb. I very much dislike hushpuppies but couldn't stop eating these bad boys. The best part of them was getting that bite of crawfish . The fries were a little on the salty side but the overall taste and quality of food made up for it. I want to come back and try the crab cakes and pasta. From the king crab cakes special to the salty buttery french fries, the perfect shrimp, awesome coleslaw and oh so fresh scallops. Others were raving about the Jambolaya and the squash blossom crab special. We live clear up in north round rock but will be making road trips down to Beaux's often. Been a customer of Beaux for awhile now and always found the food to be very good. After this weekend, I'm taking them up a notch to outstanding. To set context, we're former northerners who relocated to Baton Rouge years ago and got addicted to best-in-class, no fooling around Cajun food in Baton Rouge and Lafayette. Been in TX 25+ years now, and while we have found fairly good Cajun, nothing was near what we had years ago... Until we found Beaux, and for a year we thought it was really good. We also have gone to a few other Cajun places in South Austin - and while they weren't up to the true Baton Rouge cajun standard, they also were pretty good. This week (Thurs) we went to one of the South Austin cajun restaurants, and the etouffee was significantly underwhelming - let's call it uncharacteristically disappointing .. to the point we we were still craving Cajun Sat evening, so decided we'd go to Beaux to pick up dinner and watch the Sat night football games. Our meal Sat night was the best cajun food I've had in 25 years. We had the crawfish etoufee and the scallops Pontchartrain. Both were off-the-charts good. I'm usually not a huge fan of scallops, mostly because they are easy to overcook and then become rubbery. Not Sat night. They were cooked perfectly and were great even after the car ride home. The Pontchartrain sauce was great. And the etouffee was the best I've ever had from Beaux. In the battle of South Austin Cajun restaurants, Beaux is the absolute clear winner. We headed down to Texas Cidery because they had the Quality Seafood truck there. To our dismay, the Quality Seafood folks never showed up. Still craving seafood I'm looking for something nearby we found this place. It was a very good decision. The food is better in Quality Seafood, it is some of the best fish and chips I've had in nearly 20 years. It was so good that her kids tried a bite of everything. A restaurant can appeal to picky eaters that is a major plus, is there six stars available? As my seven-year-old says, I would give this place 40 stars. Holy Meauxly. Weaux. AuxK, I'll stop. But DAYUM! This is the best food truck food I've ever had. Yes, mostly fried. And yes, practically perfect. Friend and I each ordered fish and chips, and got boudin balls and crab cakes. Everything was cooked to perfection, perfectly crispy and light on the outside, perfectly seasoned (not too salty not bland), wonderful flavors, great temperature. Seriously perfect. Which brings me to the sauces. Much better than sauces I've had with similar style food. Creole inspired for sure and excellent. The Boudin balls were spicy but even my picky eater tried them and ate almost the whole order! Three children who typically don't try new things tried everything and loved it. The french fries were as good as the rest of it. There were a few other guests around and the soft blue clean picnic tables under the sail shades offered a little relief from the relentless sun. Great food, but won't ever be back due to the way either the owner or manager spoke to his teenage employees. Right after their closing time, cleanup involved lots of profanity (guests still eating out front and center to the horrid treatment) and unnecessary name calling at the 2 young gentleman. So far out of line, one then being yelled at over forgetting a trash bag in a bin he'd barely got back from emptying.. called numerous profane and vulgar names. I've never seen anything like that. You should be so terribly ashamed, but from that brief encounter I could tell this wasn't a one time loss of his cool. This little food truck is so, so great! The staff is friendly and helpful, which is really nice. There is a nice shaded area to enjoy your food which is set up with some picnic tables decorated with cute flowers and string lights above. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp and alligator basket, which comes with french fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. Everything came out perfectly seasoned! The shrimp are battered very lightly, so it's not too heavy like some places can be. The shrimp are also deveined, which is always a huge plus for me! This is my new go-to spot in Buda. Actually, it's now my go-to spot for whenever I get a fish and chips craving! Met the owner, Beaux, and delighted in his fish and chips, easily some of the best fish and chips I've had anywhere. The fish were freshly battered and perfectly fried. The fries ("chips") were also made-to-order and a perfect compliment to the fried fish. The accompanying homemade sauce for the fish was delectable. Beaux, a Louisiana native, has been a chef for 25+ years, and it shows. Nice guy. Great sense of humor. After chatting with him for a few minutes, I realized how lucky we are to have top chefs like Beaux serving up their culinary passions at a reasonable price. Eating at Beaux Seafood is like eating fresh, high-quality Cajun seafood without having to make the trip to Louisiana. First - a seafood food truck in the vicinity of Buda (NoT in Austin) gives you the standard 3 stars. PTL Second - good. Like really good. This is my second time getting food to go and both times there were more goods than bad. For me - the Crab Cake Po'boy was a little "mushy" for lack of a better term. It might just be my preference, but I would have liked a little more breading - more of a crispness like the cakes I've gotten as an appetizer. I've also had the Andouille Po'boy and it was on point. Downside is that it's a food truck, so if you don't eat there your food can get soft due to the moisture build-up in the to-go boxes. The second time I went I opened the boxes as soon as I got into my car and that seemed to help. I will defiantly come back as both times I tried were after the truck opened. read more

Great prices for great seafood and it's BYOB We started with the calamari and it was fresh, not chewy and perfect light weight batter with a great and unique citris marinara sauce. We decided to order the catfish after all the review suggestions and it was amazing. It came with a good sized full filet, hand cut seasoned fries and homemade crawfish hushpuppies. The catfish was very fresh, did not taste fishy at all and again, a light weight batter, that enhanced rather than smothered the taste of the catfish. I have been a fan of this food truck since it opened. Beau never ceases to impress. All the fried seafood is great and very fresh. His specialty foods are the biggest impressive features: the clam linguine, clam chowder, anything that he covers with beurre blanc sauce. It's all excellent. They are huge and have a delectable, thick breading cooked to a perfect golden brown that doesn't take away from the moist and flavorful inside. I had the beer-battered fish basket that comes with fries, hush puppies and coleslaw for $12. Seems pricey for a trailer in Buda, but TOTALLY worth every penny! Fish was so fresh and delicious and again with the breading being superb. Golden brown, crisp and thick but not too much to take away from the fish. Even the fries were outstanding! I would not normally expect that to be a detail that a food trailer would not get right, but this place is absolutely spot on! Was thoroughly impressed with the food in every possible way. But, the only downside is that the workers are not all that friendly, and the music they play from the trailer is really loud and it is very hard to hear the workers and it is very hard for them to hear you, as the customer. Therefore, it makes for some very awkward and frustrating exchanges as you are ordering. That being said, it is still a four-star dining place in my opinion because the food is that good and it certainly outweighs the slightly annoying ordering process. read more

Wish I was able to try the food the reviews look great. I got here a few minutes before 11. The guy has all of the windows open truck is on and I'm thinking I've got two minutes until I can order. Nope by 11:07 he hasn't said a word to me and realize I am the only person standing directly outside of his window. I finally ask if he is open and he states not for another 10-15 minutes. I couldn't believe he wouldn't just tell me and talk to me and be respectful of a potential new customer. I went back today because my son really, really wanted their crawfish sandwich. They have added picnic tables as well as covered the space with what looks like a heavy mesh net. It really does provide the desperately needed shade this time of year. I also noticed that they have the hours posted on the window now. Today was our second visit and it will be followed by many more. The remoulade drizzled over the Gulf Shrimp and Oysters in the Peacekeeper Po'boy is one of the best I've tasted while the shrimp and oysters are fried to perfection. My wife's Fish and Chips was enough for two and we've learned that the sides of fries ( or chips in this case) are more than we can share and worth bringing home. I'll be glad when spring weather stays nice so we can continue enjoying this delicious fare at one of the tables onsite. read more
