    I tried this place years ago, I remember it was a bad experience then too. I believe they treat you different if you have a Groupon instead of paying directly, my tech at the time mentioned multiple times that she was losing money because I had a Groupon and that next time I should just pay her directly. Lien to be precise. She also told me she would not be able to put a simple letter that was included with the Groupon unless I tipped her directly. Back then I figured maybe she had a bad day, however unprofessional she was coming off. I remember thinking if it was really that much of a loss on money they should not have their services on Groupon. Forward to today, I decided to give them another try. I got the Groupon again, because they had it on sale. My friend got one as well because her birthday is coming up and we wanted to go together. I had to request time off from work since they don't do weekends. We bought the Groupon 09/06, we made the appts for 10/22 at 1:15 for her birthday. Her nail tech texted her multiple times trying to change the time because she said she forgot she had to schedule someone else that day, when my friend told her she couldn't do that d she told her she would keep the time. Last week, AGAIN she texted her it would have to be a different time. The unprofessionalism is insane, especially with how far in advance we booked 09/24. I tried reaching out to call and ask why this was happening, I also sent texts and left a voicemail and I still have not heard back. I definitely think if you have a Groupon you get treated differently. I read several reviews on Groupon saying they do not have repeat customers because of the lack of commitment to the schedule. The owner seems to get upset when people point things out and mentions they "have a life". With the amount of reviews going back years saying the same thing, "having a life" is not the problem. The problem is not being consistent with the timeframes people ask for. We will be asking Groupon to refund or for credits since they couldn't even have the decency to reach out to us to explain why the time kept being changed. I have worked customer service my entire life, constantly changing things on customers is not a good look. It makes them feel devalued and that the money they spent, whether a Groupon or not, doesn't matter. The vibe seems to be "deal with it". Very unfortunate.

    BEST NAIL TECH IN RENO!!! Jenes is amazing - not only is she extremely technically skilled but she is extraordinarily kind, creative, thoughtful and truly an artist. Her attention to detail is truly impressive and each time she has done my nails it has been a really relaxing experience. I'm pretty picky with my nails but after going to Jenes only a few times, I won't go to anyone else in Reno for my nails.

    Jenes is absolutely fantastic! We had a fun conversation and she took my idea and made it better!! First time trying something bold and I came to the right place! I literally can't ever leave Reno now because Jenes is officially the only one allowed to do my nails! Great job and a great person to talk to!

    Went back again, even better the second time! Came in with a request for ombré French nails and Disney art... she exceeded all expectations! Definitely going to Jennes for all my nail needs!

    I experienced my first-ever-in-life gel mani/pedi yesterday with JeNes! I'd been skeptical for whatever reason (prolly just lamely fearing change). But, dude, am I sure glad JeNes convinced me to give gel a whirl. I am so pleased with my nails; I cannot stop staring at them! Not only do they look sumptuous, they feel it, too. Quite the unexpected treat, actually. I had just planned on a quick after-work dip and instead found myself so pampered and relaxed it felt like a post-brunch spa day. I've always been happy with Beautiful Nails - Lien is so kind and remembers me even with years between visits. I think JeNes is going to elevate this place and, if I'm a barometer, generate a loyal/fanatical clientele. Thank you!!

    jes was very friendly and down to earth from start to finish she was very gentle not ruff at all took her time making sure that I picked the right color was so gentle when she clipped and filled and so on. she made sure you was comfortable and ask every time am I hurt you I can't wait to go back

    Beautiful nails was amazing !! I got exactly what I wanted! The energy is great! Jenes Carter i definitely recommend . not only was her service on point but so are my nails !

    Why one star review for Lien at Beautiful Nails ... I recently went to Beautiful Nails for a gel manicure. This was my third time going to Beautiful Nails. The first two times the technician complained about the time it took to finish my nails but this third time I had to stop the service and walked away in tears and without my nails finished. She repeatedly told me how difficult my nails were, how I next time need to book the last appointment (although while I was there in the chair she booked another appointment right after me) said she was stressed due to the amount of time it takes her(although I always show up 5 minutes early). As she was rushing through my nails and cut my cuticle and said"sorry but see this is what happens when I have to hurry and am stressed " there was a piece of nail debri sticking out of the gel and I asked if she could fix it and she said" no you should have told me sooner " then proceeded to try to fix it but was clearly frustrated and angry. Then she tells me next time don't book with me. Go to someone else. At this point I pushed myself away form the table and broke down crying! I sat there for 45 minutes being told in hushed tones(so the owner couldn't hear??) "my nails were too difficult" that she was "so stressed out" "and that next time I need to book with someone else". I did receive a text from the owner to fix my nails on the shop and sorry that that had happened to me. But throughout the text she kept making reasons for this type of treatment. I also did receive an apology from the technician but I quote " I really want to apologize to you. Because of my bad personality when I stress about something , I aways hurt people's feeling, which is to show it all out, but I don't have any hate in it anyone. I hope you understand and forgive me." I do understand and I did accept her apology but the entire situation was so stressful and traumatic I wanted to make sure I did my civic duty and let others know what they would be getting themselves into. I too am in the service industry for over 12 years but I wouldn't treat a client, friend or any human like that.
